The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is a historic Catholic cathedral and parish church located in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson. The cathedral was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Center City Mall is a shopping mall in Downtown Paterson, New Jersey. Built at a cost of over $100 million, the 320,000-square-foot (30,000 m2) space opened in 2008 in the heart of the city's central business district. It is located with the city's urban enterprise zone, which permits merchants to charge half of the state's general sales tax rate (from 6.625% to 3.3125%).Among shops are Marshalls, Burlington, The Children's Place, AT&T, PSEG, TD Bank, PriceRite and other shops and restaurants. It includes the eight-screen cinema, the Fabian 8, on the upper level. Hamilton and Ward is a restaurant located with the mall The mall has struggled to retain tenants within the city with a population with limited buying power.Various proposals have been put forth to expand the mall including a roof-top sports arena and underground parking using state credits. The redevelopers of the mall have also proposed a hotel.

St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church is a historic church at 74 Cianci Street in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1836 and added to the National Register in 1978.

Little Lima is a Peruvian enclave in Downtown Paterson, New Jersey, United States, and the largest Peruvian enclave outside of South America, home to approximately 10,000 Peruvian immigrants, by U.S. Census Bureau estimates. New Jersey's Peruvian population continues to grow in its urban areas, especially in Paterson, which is considered by many to be the capital of the Peruvian Diaspora in the United States. Meanwhile, East Newark, a smaller borough, in Hudson County, New Jersey, has the largest Peruvian percentage in the U.S. per capita, and New Jersey is home to the largest per capita Peruvian American population of any U.S. state.Little Lima is bounded to the west by Spruce Street, to the north by McBride Avenue, to the east by Cianci Street, and to the south by Ward and Oliver Streets. The commercial heart of Little Lima is Market Street. Little Lima is close to Paterson's Little Italy and to the Mexican, Dominican, and Puerto Rican neighborhoods on Main Street, as well as the nearby Great Falls on the Passaic River. Peruvian bodegas, bakeries, groceries, and restaurants line this busy section of Market Street. Little Lima is home to the Great Peruvian Festival and the Peruvian Parade, held in the summer. Little Lima is in the heart of Paterson's first neighborhood, Dublin. The Dublin District, as it was originally known, went from a mostly Irish American neighborhood to an Italian American neighborhood in Little Italy's heyday; however, the Dublin District and specifically Little Lima have since evolved into a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, with many Peruvian, Ecuadorian, and Bolivian citizens.

Little Italy is a neighborhood in Downtown Paterson, New Jersey. The neighborhood is bound roughly by College Boulevard and Memorial Drive to the north, Cianci Street to the west, Ward Street to the south and Main Street to the east. Cianci Street is named for pastor of the St. Michael's Catholic church, Monsignor Carlo M. Cianci, who retired at the age of 85, in 1967. The neighborhood is closely situated near the growing Little Lima neighborhood to the south. It has a less defined presence and boundaries than it used to, but Cianci Street continues to have numerous Italian delis and restaurants. A Christopher Columbus statue is located in a small park near Cianci Street and McBride Avenue. Little Lima and Little Italy are both part of Paterson's first neighborhood, Dublin.

Legnam Corporation operated 132 general merchandise stores in 38 of the United States prior to becoming insolvent in June 1932. It sold ladies' apparel. Owing to the financial crisis during the Great Depression, the chain store, formerly known as Mangel's, became unable to pay its debts. The company maintained offices at 1115 Broadway and 226 Main Street in Paterson, New Jersey.The business was expanding prior to the constrictions brought on by rapid deflation and an absence of consumer spending during the economic downturn.

Downtown Paterson is the main commercial district of Paterson, Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is the oldest part of the city, along the banks of the Passaic River and its Great Falls. It is roughly bounded by Interstate 80, Garret Mountain Reservation, Route 19, Oliver Street, and Spruce Street on the south; the Passaic River, West Broadway, Cliff Street, North 3rd Street, Haledon Avenue, and the borough of Prospect Park on the west; and the Passaic River also to the north.

The Old Great Falls Historic District is an area of Paterson, New Jersey between South Paterson and Hillcrest, Paterson. The area is a thin strip of neighborhoods and parklands around the Passaic River and Garret Mountain. This section of Paterson has two National Natural Landmarks, Garret Mountain and Great Falls on the Passaic. It is the location of the highest point in Paterson. It is home to Lambert Castle and Alexander Hamilton's Society for the Establishment of Useful Manufactures (S.U.M.), which used the force of Great Falls to power the mills along the Passaic in the Dublin section. The neighborhood is also home to part of Garret Mountain Reservation and Overlook Park around the Grand Street Reservoir. The neighborhood is bounded by the border with Hillcrest by the Passaic River, by the Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson) border, the South Paterson border along Valley Road and Route 19. It is separated from Downtown Paterson to the north by Route 19, Oliver Street and Spruce Street. The Great Falls Historic District is mostly above I-80 and along the Passaic River. The city has attempted to revitalize the area in recent years, including the installation of period lamp posts and the conversion of old industrial buildings into apartments and retail. Many artists live in this section of Paterson. A major redevelopment project is planned for this district in the coming years. The Paterson Museum and Lambert Castle are situated in this neighborhood. The northern section is the Great Falls Historic District. The southern section, roughly below Rockland Street and New Street, is Stoney Road.

Al-Huda School was an Islamic school located in Paterson, New Jersey. Al-Huda School officially closed down in 2014.The school served students in grades PreK-12. As of the 2009–10 school year, the school had an enrollment of 104 students (plus 12 in pre-K) and 11.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 9.0:1.
