210 East 68th Street

The 67th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had two tracks and two side platforms. 67th Street station opened on September 16, 1878 by the New York Elevated Railway Company, and was the terminus of the IRT Third Avenue Line until it was expanded to 89th Street on December 9, 1878. This station closed on May 12, 1955, with the ending of all service on the Third Avenue El south of 149th Street.

Park East Day School (officially called Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School) is a Jewish day school located on the Upper East Side of the Borough of Manhattan in New York City. It includes an early childhood program, an elementary school, and a middle school that graduates students after eighth grade. In 1950's Rabbi Zev Zahavy and his wife Edith, a noted educator, founded the school with funding from Henry H. Minskoff. In 1976 Rabbi Arthur Schneier started Park-East's early childhood facility (a nursery school). In 1981, the nursery school merged with the East Side Hebrew Institute ("ESHI"), once one of the major Jewish institutions of the Lower East Side, which had classes ranging from Nursery, Kindergarten and up to the 12th grade. The new merged school was named "Park East ESHI". Several years later, the new school board omitted the word "ESHI" and in 1990 they renamed the school after Rabbi Schneier. It offers a dual curricula of general studies and Jewish studies. The school is noted for the strength of its mathematics, science, STEM and technology programs.Rabbi Arthur Schneier, the school's founder, serves as dean. For seventeen years, the school's principal was Barbara Etra before her retirement after the 2021 school year. Debbie Rochlin now serves as the principal of Park East, having previously been the director of admissions as well as being in charge of the early childhood center.

The East Side Hebrew Institute was a traditional Jewish day school, in the East Village/Alphabet City area of Manhattan, New York City. It was "once one of the major institutions of the Jewish East Side".

Trump Palace Condominiums is a 623 ft (190 m) tall skyscraper at 200 East 69th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It was completed in 1991 and has 54 floors. Frank Williams and Associates, headed by architect Frank Williams, designed the building, which is the 114th tallest building in New York, and was tallest in the Upper East Side for 26 years, until surpassed in 2017 by 520 Park Avenue.

Imperial House is a high-rise apartment building at 150 East 69th Street in Manhattan in New York City. It was New York's largest post-war apartment building at the time of its construction. The building was owned and built by the Fisher Brothers. The architect was Emery Roth & Sons. The project engineer was W.R. Cosentini & Associates, Raisler Corp were the mechanical contractors. The garden of Imperial House collapsed into its underground garage shortly after construction.Construction started on Imperial House in 1959 and was completed in 1961. The building has 30 residential floors with 350 apartments and offices. Interiors were designed by the Raymond Lowey Group. The actor Joan Crawford lived at Imperial House from November 1968 to her death in 1977. Crawford lived at apartment 22G from 1968 to 1973 and at 22H from 1973 to 1977. Her 22H apartment was featured in Architectural Digest in 1975.Imperial House is noted for its distinctive white brick design; a 2010 New York Times article on white brick buildings described it as a "star" of the 140 white brick apartment buildings of Manhattan.Imperial House was sold for $51.6 million in 1971 (equivalent to $341,243,221 in 2021). It was converted into a housing cooperative in a process beginning in 1971 by N. Anthony Rolfe and other investors. There were 378 apartments in the building at the time. 213 apartments were sold by 1980, the process was almost complete by 2007, with 7 apartments remaining. The process led to "court battles and confrontations" according to the New York Times. In 1971 a one-bedroom apartment cost $43,000 (equivalent to $287,715 in 2021) with an "upper-floor three-bedroom with a gallery, living room, dining room, library, four bathrooms and a maid's room" going for $150,000 (equivalent to $1,003,657 in 2021).

The Former Church of St. Mary is a former Roman Catholic parish church. Located at 202 East 69th Street in Manhattan, New York City, the parish was established in 1895; the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York closed it in 1999.

Manhattan House is an apartment building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The building is at 200 East 66th Street, just east of Third Avenue.It was built from 1950 to 1951. Designed by architect Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the architectural style has been described as modernist. The building, standing 214 feet (65 m) tall, was made with concrete, with a facade of white brick. It overlooks a private garden with two sculptures by Hans Van de Bovenkamp. In order to be permitted to build a taller building, the developer donated a strip of land on the north side of the property to widen 66th Street.The building contains many condominiums. Notable tenants have included furniture designer Florence Knoll, clarinetist Benny Goodman, actress Grace Kelly, filmmaker Rubaiyat Hossain, former Governor Hugh Carey, and businessman Frank Hardart, the co-founder of Horn & Hardart.The building is pet friendly.In 2007, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the complex a landmark for its influential mid-century modernist architecture. In 2014, the penthouses were redesigned by Cuban-born interior designer Vicente Wolf. Manhattan House is co-owned by N. Richard Kalikow, a real estate developer, and Jeremiah W. O'Connor, Jr., the Managing Partner at O’Connor Capital Partners, a private equity firm. Both men disagreed on their 2007 renovation project.

The Hunter Sportsplex is a multi-purpose sports facility located in Manhattan, New York, within the campus of Hunter College of the City University of New York. It is the home of the Hunter College Hawks. Basketball, volleyball and wrestling in addition to other sports are played in the main gymnasium. An auxiliary gymnasium hosts tennis matches. The facility is also home to the Gotham Girls Roller Derby of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

The 68th Street–Hunter College station is a local station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 68th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It is served by the 6 train at all times, the <6> train during weekdays in the peak direction, and the 4 train during late nights. This station was constructed as part of the Dual Contracts by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company and opened in 1918, and was renovated in the 1980s. A station renovation is scheduled to make the station compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

The Zen Studies Society was established in 1956 by Cornelius Crane to help assist the scholar Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki in his work and to help promulgate Zen Buddhism in Western countries. It operates both New York Zendo Shobo-Ji in New York City and Dai Bosatsu Zendo Kongo-Ji in the Catskills area of New York State. Influenced by the teachings of Soen Nakagawa Roshi and Nyogen Senzaki, ZSS is one of the oldest organizations dedicated to the practice of Rinzai Zen in the United States. The institution came under the leadership of Eido Tai Shimano in 1965. Allegations of sexual and financial improprieties surfaced regarding Shimano, causing controversy in the community. In July 2010 Shimano and his wife resigned from the board of directors following the revelation of his relationship with a female student, amid accusations that this was only the latest in series of such affairs. Shimano also resigned as abbot, and announced he would retire from teaching in any formal capacity. Roko Sherry Chayat Roshi, one of Shimano's Dharma heirs, was installed as abbot in January 2011.
