Sungai Pinang

The City Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in George Town, Penang, Malaysia, and serves as the home stadium of the Penang state football team, Penang FA. The oldest built stadium still in use in Malaysia, it was built in 1932 by the British government.The stadium has a capacity of approximately 25,000 people and is now mainly used for football matches involving Penang FA, such as the Malaysian Super League. It is also well-known for the vociferous home support, dubbed the "Keramat Roar".The stadium was the site where Mohd Faiz Subri, a Penang FA player, scored a physics-defying free kick goal during a Malaysian Super League match in 2016. He was awarded the prestigious FIFA Puskás Award the following year for this particular effort.

Penang Times Square is an ongoing urban redevelopment project in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. It is located at Dato Keramat Road in the city centre, and comprises office blocks, condominiums, a shopping mall and an outdoor plaza. Developed by Ivory Properties Group, at present, the first two phases have been completed, while Phases 3, 4 and 5 are still in the works.In 2016, a new shopping mall, M Mall O2O, was also opened as part of Phase 2 of the Penang Times Square project.

M Mall O2O is a shopping mall in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Opened in 2015, it forms part of the Penang Times Square at Dato Keramat Road. The four-storey shopping mall contains decorations consisting of murals and replicas of Penang's famed landmarks and lifestyles. The retail floors include thematic areas, with each designed to replicate a different country. In addition, the mall, with over 500 retail outlets, also houses Penang's first wax museum.Notably, M Mall O2O is the first shopping mall in Penang to introduce virtual currency as a payment mode. This has proved controversial, however, leading to a police raid on the mall in 2017.

Dato Keramat Road is a major thoroughfare in the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. It is one of the main roads leading out of the city centre to the western suburbs, stretching from Komtar, in the heart of George Town, towards Air Itam. While older shophouses still line Dato Keramat Road to this day, the road is also home to some of the more modern landmarks in the city centre, such as Gama departmental store, Penang Times Square and the City Stadium.

Taman Free School is a residential neighbourhood within the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Located 2.5 km (1.6 mi) southwest of the city centre, Taman Free School, which was named after the nearby Penang Free School, forms part of the Batu Lanchang suburb.

The Pinang River (Malay: Sungai Pinang) is a river that runs through the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Stretching for approximately 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi), the river separates George Town proper to the north and its suburb of Jelutong to the south. It also passes under the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway before emptying into the Penang Strait. Sungai Pinang also refers to the neighbourhood that exists along the river. It is believed that the first riverine villages had been established in the late 18th century, prior to the arrival of Captain Francis Light, the founder of modern Penang. The Pinang River was widely regarded as one of the filthiest waterways in Malaysia. In recent years, the Penang state government has intensified efforts to clean up and deepen the river, resulting in an improvement of the river's water quality.

JKP Tower, formerly known as UMNO Tower, is an office building within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Built in 1998, the tower is located at the junction of Macalister Road and Jalan Zainal Abidin (formerly named Yahudi Road), within the city's Central Business District (CBD). It is owned by the Penang Bumiputera Development Council and functions as the state headquarters of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). The building is recognised as the first skyscraper in Malaysia to utilise a wing wall system and other bioclimatic features to facilitate natural ventilation.

Macalister Road is a major thoroughfare in the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. The road stretches out of Magazine Circus next to Komtar in the city centre towards the leafier western edge of the city. The road was named after one of the Governors of Penang in the early 19th century. Originally a dirt track, the eastern section of Macalister Road has become urbanised as part of the city centre. Notably, the westernmost section of Macalister Road still retains a quieter, greener character, with mature Angsana trees providing shade along this particular section of the road.

GAMA is a department store in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Located at Dato Keramat Road, just opposite Komtar, GAMA was opened in 1967, making it the oldest department store in the State of Penang. In spite of competition from the nearby shopping malls, the department store still retains its customer base due to its cheaper pricing. The shopping centre contains a total of eight floors, including its basement parking lot.

Heng Ee High School (simplified Chinese: 恒毅国民型华文中学; traditional Chinese: 恆毅國民型華文中學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Hêng-gī kok-bîn-hêng huâ-bûn tiong-o̍h; Malay: Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Heng Ee) is a Chinese conforming secondary school located in George Town, Penang.

The George Town Central Business District (CBD) is the financial and political centre of the city of George Town, the capital of the Malaysian state of Penang. The financial district, which was first envisioned by the Penang Island City Council's Local Plan 2030, lies entirely within the city centre, and is home to much of the city's banking and financial services. The term CBD is often used interchangeably with Downtown George Town, encompassing both the historic core and modern sections of the city centre.
