Yardley Historic District

Yardley is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Yardley borders the Delaware River and Ewing, New Jersey to its east and Lower Makefield Township to its north, west, and south. The United States Post Office assigns many addresses in Lower Makefield Township the preferred city of "Yardley", although they are outside the borough. The population was 2,434 at the 2010 census. Yardley is part of the Delaware Valley metropolitan area.

The Yardley Inn Restaurant, Bar & Farm is a Zagat-rated restaurant in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, specializing in contemporary American cuisine. The Yardley Inn’s kitchen offers a diverse menu of seafood and shellfish, beef, chicken, pork, and pasta. Banquet rooms and individual dining rooms are available for private parties and special events. From September 2004 through June 2006, three major floods devastated much of Yardley, causing the inn to close its doors several times to repair floodwater damages and replace restaurant equipment. The damages from all three floods summed more than 1 million dollars in repairs and restorations. The Yardley Inn added its Riverside Kitchen Garden and farm plot along River Road in early 2011, a longtime dream of Chef Eben and the owners of the inn. The garden and farmland provide many ingredients for the Yardley Inn's meals, and other ingredients like poultry and eggs from Griggstown Quail Farm and all of the inn's cheeses are sourced as locally as possible.

Buck Creek is a tributary of the Delaware River, rising in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and meeting its confluence at the Delaware River's 138.00 river mile.

The Yardley–Wilburtha Bridge was a bridge spanning the Delaware River. A majority of the bridge was washed away by severe flooding in 1955 and was later demolished in 1961 after the completion of the nearby Scudder Falls Bridge.

Bridge in Yardley Borough was a historic stone arch bridge located at Scammells Corner in Yardley, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It had a single span, 13 feet long, and was constructed in 1889. It was constructed of coursed rubble masonry.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. Sometime after listing, the bridge was replaced with a concrete bridge span.

Yardley station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Yardley, Pennsylvania. It is located at Main Street and Reading Avenue and serves the West Trenton Line to New Jersey. The station has off-street parking. In FY 2017, Yardley station had a weekday average of 349 boardings and 328 alightings. By August 2015, as a result of the SEPTA and CSX separation between Woodbourne and West Trenton stations, the outbound platform was removed, and all SEPTA traffic was diverted onto the Inbound track. Currently, all SEPTA service between Yardley and West Trenton operates on the Inbound track only.

Wilburtha is a section of Ewing Township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located where Wilburtha Road crosses the Delaware and Raritan Canal, it is one of the oldest settlements in Ewing Township and developed due to the construction of the canal in the early 19th century. The community was known as Greensburg before adopting its current name in 1883. The Yardley–Wilburtha Bridge once connected Wilburtha to Yardley, Pennsylvania on the other side of the Delaware River. The Belvidere Delaware Railroad once passed through the village. Today, Wilburtha is primarily a residential neighborhood consisting of detached, single-family homes, the majority of which were built in the 1950s through the early 1980s. There are still many Georgian and Federal-style homes found in the area.

The West Trenton Railroad Bridge is a concrete arch bridge carrying CSX's Trenton Subdivision and SEPTA's West Trenton Line across the Delaware River between Lower Makefield Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and the West Trenton section of Ewing Township in Mercer County, New Jersey. It was originally designed by the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad and was constructed from 1911 to 1913 by the F. W. Talbot Construction Company. The bridge is 1,445.5 feet (440.6 m) long between abutments, and is made up of 14 arches, 11 of which have a clear span of 90.75 feet (27.66 m) and 3 with a clear span of 85.92 feet (26.19 m)The masonry piers alongside this bridge carried the original 1875 wrought-iron truss bridge (Yardleyville Centennial Bridge).

Slate Hill Burying Ground (also known as Old Slate Hill Burying Ground and Yardley Cemetery) is a historic cemetery in Lower Makefield Township, Pennsylvania, with most of its graves dating to 18th century Quaker settlers. It is located at Yardley-Morrisville Road and Mahlon Drive. Established in 1690, it is probably the oldest burial ground in Bucks County. The earliest gravestone is dated 1698, but unmarked graves may be even earlier. The cemetery consists of three sections: the first was given in 1690 by Thomas Janney; the second given in 1721 by Abel Janney; and the last given in 1788 by Joshua Anderson. The Anderson grant created the first public cemetery in Lower Makefield Township. The two earlier sections are known as the Quaker section. The Quaker section has 185 marked graves out of a total of 487, most pre-dating 1800. The public section has 96 marked graves including those of six free African Americans who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Villa Victoria Academy is an all-girls, private, Catholic middle and high school located in the West Trenton section of Ewing Township, New Jersey. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1996; Middle States accreditation of the school expires on January 1, 2029.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 96 students and 25.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 3.8:1. The school's student body was 60.4% (58) White, 15.6% (15) Black, 10.4% (10) Hispanic, 9.4% (9) Asian and 4.2% (4) two or more races.

The John and Phineas Hough House, also known as "Twin Arches," is an historic American home that is located in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
