Shore Road Historic District is a national historic district located at Cold Spring Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. The district has 20 contributing residential buildings. They sit at the foot of a steep wooded bluff and date from the early 19th century, the oldest dating to about 1790. It includes works by architect Grosvenor Atterbury.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center is located at Cold Spring Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. It was founded as the Cold Spring Harbor Village Improvement Society in 1899. However, the library, consisting of a small collection of books, was first organized in 1886 and was housed at the Cutting House, 241 Harbor Road, Cold Spring Harbor. This building was located across the street from the local gristmill and the first librarian was the miller's wife, Mrs. Peter Waters. This building is now owned by the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Cold Spring Harbor Fire District Hook and Ladder Company Building is a historic fire station located at Cold Spring Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. It was built about 1880 as a harness shop and adapted in 1896 to house the equipment of the newly formed Cold Spring Harbor fire department. It is a one-story, wood-framed building with a gable roof. It was moved to the rear of the lot on which it is located in 1930.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Laurelton Hall was the home of noted artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, located in Laurel Hollow, New York a village in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. The 84-room mansion on 600 acres (2.4 km2) of land, designed in the Art Nouveau style, combined Islamic motifs with connection to nature, was completed in 1905, and housed many of Tiffany's most notable works, as well as serving as a work of art in and of itself. It was also commonly referred to as the "Oyster Bay estate".

The majority of the buildings were built between 1855 and 1890. It encompasses the village's historic core and charts its development from a major whaling port to a summer resort community.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Cold Spring Harbor State Park is a 47-acre (19 ha) state park located on New York State Route 25A in the Town of Huntington in Suffolk County, New York. The hilly park opened in 2000 and offers scenic views of Cold Spring Harbor on the north shore of Long Island.

It is a small agrarian enclave situated along both sides of a narrow, winding road. The dwellings date from the late 18th to mid-19th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Titus-Bunce House is a historic home located at Cold Spring Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. It is a 2-story, three-bay structure with a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay side wing. It was built about 1820, with decorative additional made in the 1850s in the Italianate style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory School of Biological Sciences, formerly the Watson School of Biological Sciences, was founded in 1999.In 2015, CSHL announced a strategic affiliation with the nearby Northwell Health to advance cancer therapeutics research, develop a new clinical cancer research unit at Northwell Health in Lake Success, NY, to support early-phase clinical studies of new cancer therapies, and recruit and train more clinician-scientists in oncology.CSHL hosts bioRxiv, a preprint repository for publications in the life sciences.

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory School of Biological Sciences, formerly known as the Watson School of Biological Sciences (WSBS) until 2020, is a biological sciences graduate school at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The school was opened in 1999 and resides on the Laboratory campus in Cold Spring Harbor, New York on Long Island. The school offers a graduate degree (PhD) in molecular biology in an accelerated program that strives for completion within four years. The diverse student body includes about 50 percent international students.
