Central Bank of Venezuela

The National Experimental University of Greater Caracas (UNEXCAA) is a public university in Venezuela. It is co-supervised by the Ministry of Popular Power for University Education, Science and Technology (MPPEUCT). Its campus is located in the La Floresta Urbanization, Chacao Parish, Municipality Chacao, east of the geographic center of Greater Caracas. The university was founded on 27 February 2018.

Centro Gumilla is a center for research and social action run by the Society of Jesus in Venezuela. It was founded in 1968 and is the first such centre created in Latin America under Pedro Arrupe to direct Jesuit efforts more toward the service of the poor.In its range of publications, projects, and case histories, Centro Gumilla tries to foster organizational growth and community empowerment.

The BCV Building (or Central Bank of Venezuela Building) is an office building located on Avenida Urdaneta, Caracas, Venezuela and is the headquarters of the Banco Central de Venezuela. it is also the largest funder of the city and is covering 27.000 m² on the street level. The building was completed in 1965 and was opened the same year, a second compound was built in 1967, which is a tower that reaches 117 meters high and has 26 floors.

Carmelite mail is a colonial building in Caracas, Venezuela located in the historic center of the city on the Carmelites corner of Avenida Urdaneta. It is located in the Cathedral Parish of the Libertador Bolivarian Municipality. The construction of the house dates back to 1781 remain the property of Count Martin de Tovar. Among the most notable visitors that building has received include Alexander von Humboldt and Aimé Bonpland in 1799 and Simon Bolivar in 1827, and was presidential bedroom house between 1860 and 1861, then the building would be used as the headquarters of the Ministry of War and Navy. By 1932 the structure of the house is almost completely modified including the construction of a new Gothic facade, doors, windows and third floor while retaining original features such as some walls and stone staircase, from that moment becomes the Mail headquarters Caracas. In 1984 he was declared a National Historic Landmark.

The Biblioteca Nacional de Venezuela (in English: National Library of Venezuela), located in Caracas, is the legal deposit and copyright for Venezuela. It was established on July 13, 1833, by decree of General José Antonio Páez. Diego Bautista Urbaneja, a Minister of Foreign Affairs, was designated as the first director.The current headquarters of the library was designed by architect Tomás Sanabria from 1981 to 1989 in the style of Brutalist architecture, featuring a range of design elements and distinctive construction techniques. The library contains several special collections: Automated Catalog Orientation and Reference CEDINBI (Library Information and Documentation Center) General Bibliographic Collection (CBG) Hemerographic Collection (CH) Collection of Official Publications (CPO) Old Documentary Collection (CDA) Arcaya Collection (CA) Sound and Cinema Collection and Flat Works Collection (CSCCOP).According to their website, "The institution aspires to be an active organization in the generation of knowledge through the publication of various titles, printed or virtual, specialized or of collective interest, which are a contribution to the formation of a citizenry committed to building a better society."

The National Pantheon of Venezuela (Panteón Nacional de Venezuela) is a final resting place for national heroes. The Pantheon (Latin Pantheon, from Greek Pantheon, meaning "Temple of all the Gods") was created in the 1870s on the site of the ruined Santísima Trinidad church from 1744 on the northern edge of the old town of Caracas, Venezuela. The entire central nave is dedicated to Simón Bolívar, with the altar's place taken by the hero's bronze sarcophagus, while lesser luminaries are relegated to the aisles. The national pantheon's vault is covered with 1930s paintings depicting scenes from Bolívar's life, and the huge crystal chandelier glittering overhead was installed in 1883 on the centennial of his birth. The Pantheon was reopened in 2013 after a 3 year long process of expansion and restoration.

The Caracas Cathedral or Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Anne is the seat of the Roman Catholic Metropolitan archdiocese of Caracas, located on the Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela. Its chapel of the Holy Trinity is the burial site of the parents and wife of Simón Bolívar. The Nuestra Senora de Venezuela y Santa Ana is a square (cuadra) situated between the cathedral and the central plaza, which is walled on three sides, but open to the east where it faces the cathedral.

The Basilica of Santa Capilla (Spanish: Basílica Menor Santa Capilla) It is a Roman Catholic basilica in Caracas, Venezuela located at the corner of Santa Capilla on Avenida Urdaneta. It is located in the historic center of the city, in the Cathedral Parish of Libertador Municipality. On February 16, 1979 was declared a National Historic Landmark. Its construction was ordered by President Antonio Guzman Blanco in 1883, to the architect Juan Hurtado Manrique, with reference to the Sainte Chapelle in Paris. The new church of Santa Capilla replaced the old hermitage of San Sebastián that had been erected in 1568 and then dedicated to Saint Maurice in 1640, but only a year later is destroyed by an earthquake in 1667 it rebuilds the church with elements simple as wood and bricks. In 1812 another earthquake almost completely destroyed the church beginning its reconstruction. In 1921 an expansion that included two aisles is made, and the August 5, 1926 is designated as Minor Basilica by Pope Pius XI. Inside the basilica they are buried some people.

The Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Caracas is the Latin an ecclesiastical territory of the Roman Catholic Church in part of Venezuela. It was founded as the Diocese of Caracas on June 20, 1637, and was later elevated to the rank of a Metropolitan see on November 27, 1803. This episcopal see occupies a territory of about 790 square kilometers and is not unlikely to be given several auxiliary bishops. The most recent Metropolitan Archbishop had been Jorge Urosa, appointed by Pope Benedict XVI on September 19, 2005 (and elevated to Cardinal in 2006); retirement accepted July 9, 2018 by Pope Francis. Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo was also appointed as Apostolic Administrator at the same day. Its cathedral episcopal see is the Catedral Metropolitana de Santa Ana, in national capital Caracas, Distrito Federal, which also has three Minor Basilicas: Basílica de Santa Teresa, Basílica San Pedro Apóstol and Basílica Santuario de Santa Capilla (also a National Shrine).

Bolívar Square (Spanish: Plaza Bolívar) in Caracas is one of the most important and recognized Venezuelan public spaces. It is located in the center of the first 25 blocks of Caracas when it was founded as "Santiago de León de Caracas" in 1567. It is in the historic center of the city in the Cathedral Parish of the Libertador Municipality. Bolívar Square is surrounded by important buildings such as Caracas Cathedral, Sacred Museum, Archbishop's Palace, City Hall, Chapel of Santa Rosa de Lima, the Yellow House, the Main Theater and the building of the Government of the Capital District. The Federal Legislative Palace stands to the Southwest.

The Libertador Bolivarian Municipality (Spanish: Municipio Bolivariano Libertador) is the only administrative division of the Capital District and along with the municipalities of Baruta, Chacao, El Hatillo and Sucre forms the Metropolitan District of Caracas. It is landlocked by Vargas State and also borders Miranda State on the east and south. The municipality is one of a number in Venezuela named "Libertador Municipality", in honour of Venezuelan independence hero Simón Bolívar. Libertador is one of the smallest municipalities in Venezuela, with a total area of 438 square kilometres (169 sq mi). It is the largest in terms of population, with approximately 2.1 million inhabitants. In this municipality is home to the Miraflores presidential palace, the Federal Legislative Palace, the National Electoral Council, the main offices of PDVSA and CANTV, the Central Bank of Venezuela and the public ministry.

The National Assembly (Spanish: Asamblea Nacional) is the legislature for Venezuela that was first elected in 2000. It is a unicameral body made up of a variable number of members, who were elected by a "universal, direct, personal, and secret" vote partly by direct election in state-based voting districts, and partly on a state-based party-list proportional representation system. The number of seats is constant, each state and the Capital district elected three representatives plus the result of dividing the state population by 1.1% of the total population of the country. Three seats are reserved for representatives of Venezuela's indigenous peoples and elected separately by all citizens, not just those with indigenous backgrounds. For the 2010 to 2015 the number of seats was 165. All deputies serve five-year terms. The National Assembly meets in the Federal Legislative Palace in Venezuela's capital, Caracas.
