PUMP Restaurant & Lounge was a restaurant in West Hollywood, California, United States. It closed permanently in 2023, after operating for approximately a decade. It featured on the American reality television series Vanderpump Rules. Lisa Vanderpump opened the restaurant on May 14, 2014. The olive trees were over 100 years old and were flown in from Italy. In an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi Glanville destroyed one of the tree. In February 2019, NeNe Leakes claimed she gave Vanderpump the idea for Pump. Vanderpump permanently closed the establishment on July 5, 2023, after operating for nine years. Vanderpump blamed high rent.

The Abbey Food and Bar is a gay bar in West Hollywood, California. The Abbey is a core part of LGBT culture in Los Angeles, and has expanded several times since its establishment in 1991. In 2016, the Abbey opened the adjacent nightclub The Chapel at the Abbey. In 2006, owner and founder David Cooley sold a 75-percent stake of the Abbey to SBE Group. Nine years later, he re-bought the stake, becoming sole owner. In 2023, Cooley sold the Abbey and the Chapel to Tristan Schukraft. As of 2021, the Abbey has 275 employees.

Tom Tom (also known as TomTom) is a bar and restaurant in West Hollywood, California, United States. The restaurant's name was derived from two of the founders first names, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz.

Ah Men was a clothing store in West Hollywood which catered to a gay male clientele. It was founded in the late 1950s or early 1960s by Jerry Furlow and Don Cook. It specialized in flamboyant styles, including garments made from see-through mesh, form-fitting swimwear, "erotic" underwear, and flowing caftans. It has been called the first gay retail business in West Hollywood, an area which would eventually come to be known as one of the most prominent gay villages in the United States. Ah Men also operated one of the first gay mail order businesses, which it advertised in physique magazines and other gay-interest publications. Between its retail business, mail-order operations, and manufacturing, Ah Men employed more than fifty people. Its success paved the way for other gay-oriented clothing boutiques in the area such as All American Boy, as well as the similar mail-order business International Male, which debuted in the mid-70s.It was originally located at 8933 Santa Monica Boulevard. In 1972, it relocated to the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard, which is now the site of a bank. In the same year, two other locations were opened, one in Silver Lake, Los Angeles and the other in Houston, Texas.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) was a nonprofit organization of journalists and photographers who reported on the American entertainment industry for predominantly foreign media markets. It is best known for founding and conducting the annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California, which honors notable achievements in film and television, from its inception in 1943 until 2023. The HFPA consisted of about 105 members from approximately 55 countries with a combined following of more than 250 million.On June 12, 2023, the HFPA announced that it would disband.

The June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives is a grass roots archive dedicated to collecting, protecting, and conserving lesbian and feminist women's history. The Archives was founded in 1981 as the West Coast Lesbian Collections (WCLC) by Lynn Fonfa and Cherrie Cox in Oakland, California.After establishing a board of directors, the WCLC was granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. In 1985, WCLC relocated to Southern California with the help of Connexxus Women's Center, Jean Conger, and the Gay and Lesbian Task Force of the City of West Hollywood, and was maintained in the home of June L. Mazer and her partner Nancy "Bunny" MacCulloch in Altadena, California. The two women were custodians of the WCLC until Mazer's death from cancer in 1987. MacCulloch thereafter changed its name to the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives and continued to run the collection with the assistance of volunteers. On November 28, 1988, the Mazer Archives moved from Altadena into the Werle Building, a space donated by the City of West Hollywood. The following year, it received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.In 1989, the Mazer Archives created an outreach and collection-building partnership with the UCLA Center for the Study of Women and the UCLA Library Department of Special Collections of the Charles E. Young Research Library. In 2011, it co-hosted the 3rd LGBT Archives, Libraries, Museums & Special Collections Conference. In 2015, Wolfe Video donated 100 lesbian movies to the Archives.The June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives describes itself as "the only archive on this side of the continent that is dedicated exclusively to preserving lesbian history...The Archives is committed to gathering and preserving materials by and about lesbians and feminists of all classes, ethnicities, races and experiences." It is supported by funding from private donors and the City of West Hollywood, and has been run strictly by volunteers since 1985.

It was managed by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, his cousin Steve Korthoff, and friend Arny Geller. Arny's father-in-law, Jack Brooks, owner of Brooks Health Foods was nutritional consultant.

The Pacific Design Center, or PDC, is a 1,600,000-square-foot (150,000 m2) multi-use facility for the design community located in West Hollywood, California. One of the buildings is often described as the Blue Whale because of its large size relative to surrounding buildings and its brilliant blue glass cladding.

Norma Triangle is a residential neighborhood in West Hollywood, California. It encompasses the area bound by Doheny Drive and Beverly Hills on the west, Sunset Boulevard and Holloway Drive on the north, and Santa Monica Boulevard on the south. The small district has the shape of a right triangle. The neighborhood is walkable and upscale with cafes and restaurants, shopping, nightclubs, parks, and bars in close proximity. The Norma Triangle includes a small portion of the Sunset Strip and a large portion of "Boys' Town" a popular gay district on Santa Monica Blvd. It is also home to the Ticketmaster corporate headquarters, the largest employer in West Hollywood, as well as a number of IAC/InterActiveCorp subsidiaries, including Tinder and CityGrid Media. The Norma Triangle neighborhood is represented by The Norma Triangle Neighborhood Watch with the main goals of creating a tight knit community, ensuring residents feel safe and secure, and voicing neighborhood concerns with the City Council members of West Hollywood. Past neighborhood events include the National Night Out block party.
