The 39th Curtis Cup Match was played from 10 to 12 June 2016 at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club near Enniskerry, Ireland. Great Britain and Ireland won 111⁄2 to 81⁄2. Bronte Law became the first golfer from Great Britain and Ireland to win 5 matches in a Curtis Cup match, a feat only previously achieved by Stacy Lewis in 2008.

Dorchester Missionary College, also known as the Dorchester College of St Peter and St Paul for Foreign Missions was a theological college in Dorchester, Oxfordshire. The college was established in 1878 to train Anglican clergy to serve in the Church of England overseas, and by 1903 was an associated theological college of Durham University. It closed in 1944 due to the recommendation by the Archbishops' commission to end missionary colleges.

Rathmines School was a Church of Ireland secondary school in the suburb of Rathmines, Dublin: it opened in 1855 and closed in 1899. It is 276 metres (906 feet) high, on the eastern edge of the Dublin Mountains, rising above the districts of Rathmichael and Shankill. Its summit is noted for the panoramic views it offers of south Dublin and north Wicklow.

Elian's Dublin was a private Spanish international school in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, 18 kilometres (11 mi) from the centre of Dublin. The Spanish government recognised it as a Centro Privado Español en el Extranjero, and it offered primary through bachillerato (high school) classes. A part of the IALE Elian's education group, it was located in Jubilee Hall, a castle in Bray.

The Glencullen River (Irish: Abhainn Ghleann Cuilinn), often the Cookstown River (An Chlóideach) below Enniskerry, is a watercourse of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown (in southern County Dublin) and northern County Wicklow. About 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) long; it passes the nature reserve of Knocksink Wood and the village of Enniskerry, and joins the River Dargle near Bray. The river is in the jurisdictions of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown and Wicklow County Councils, as well as within the purview of the Environmental Protection Agency.

In 2019, St. Gerard's School was named top school in County Wicklow, and 29th in Ireland.

Ballycorus (Irish: Baile Mhic Fheorais, meaning 'Town of the Pearse Family') leadmines is a former lead mining and smelting centre located in the townland of the same name, near Kilternan in County Dublin, Ireland. The mine opened around 1807 and was taken over by the Mining Company of Ireland (MCI) in 1826 who owned and operated the site up until closure in 1913. After the mine was exhausted in the 1860s, Ballycorus continued to operate as a smelting facility receiving ore from other MCI sites such as the mines in Glendalough, County Wicklow. The most distinctive surviving remnant of the site is the ruin of the flue chimney that lies close to the summit of Carrickgollogan hill. Further down the slopes of the hill, many other former buildings and structures from the leadworks can also be found.

Old Connaught House is an 18th-century house located in Rathmichael, Dublin, Ireland. Though originally built for bishop William Gore, shortly after his death in 1784 it was leased by William Plunket (later Baron Plunket). The house was occupied by the Plunket family for several generations, before being used by the Congregation of Christian Brothers as a novitiate school in the mid 20th century.The house remained unoccupied for several years before being leased to a non-profit equestrian organisation. It was sold in 2000, renovated, and is now a development of residential apartments.
