Tauhinukorokio / Mount Pleasant (Māori: Tauhinu Korokio), also known just as either Mount Pleasant or Tauhinukorokio individually, is the highest elevation in the eastern Port Hills in Christchurch, New Zealand. It once held a Māori pā, but there was little left of it when European settlers first arrived in the 1840s. The hill was first used as a sheep run, and became the base trig station for the survey of Canterbury. It was also used as a signal station to make residents aware of ships coming into Lyttelton Harbour / Whakaraupō. During World War II, an extensive heavy anti-aircraft artillery (HAA) battery was built near the summit, and the foundations of those buildings still exist.

Battery Point was the site of a coastal defence fort in the Canterbury Region, New Zealand. Located to the east of the Port of Lyttelton, the fort was constructed in 1885 in response to one of the 'Russian scares'. It was also used in the First World War as well as the Second World War. In the postwar period, it was used as a training site up until 1957. On private land, the area was designated as Battery Point Battery Historic Area by Heritage New Zealand in 2004.

Heathcote Valley is a suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. It is named after Sir William Heathcote, who was secretary of the Canterbury Association.

Mount Cavendish is located in the Port Hills, with views over Christchurch, New Zealand and Lyttelton. It is part of the crater wall of the extinct volcano that formed Lyttelton Harbour. The Mount Cavendish Reserve displays some of the best examples of lava flow to be seen on the Port Hills.

The Lyttelton Arts Factory (also known as LAF) is a performing arts events venue in Lyttelton, Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. The venue is a black box theatre located on the grounds of the Lyttelton Primary School and is a shared-use facility. It is the school hall during the day but a performing arts theatre and teaching venue outside of school hours.

Lyttelton Borough was the local authority for the town of Lyttelton in Canterbury, New Zealand between 1868 and 1989, when it became part of Banks Peninsula District.

Lyttelton (Māori: Ōhinehou or Māori: Riritana) is a port town on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour / Whakaraupō, at the northwestern end of Banks Peninsula and close to Christchurch, on the eastern coast of the South Island of New Zealand. As a landing point for Christchurch-bound seafarers, Lyttelton has historically been regarded as the "Gateway to Canterbury" for colonial settlers. Until the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, the port has been a regular destination for cruise ships. It is the South Island's principal goods-transport terminal, handling 34% of exports and 61% of imports by value.In 2009 Lyttelton was awarded Category I Historic Area status by the Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) defined as "an area of special or outstanding historical or cultural heritage significance or value", not long before much of the historic fabric was destroyed in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.

St Saviour’s at Holy Trinity is an Anglican church in Lyttelton, Christchurch, New Zealand. St Saviour's Chapel was relocated from West Lyttelton to Christchurch's Cathedral Grammar School in the 1970s. Following the earthquakes and the demolition of Holy Trinity Church, Lyttelton, St Saviour's was returned to Lyttelton to the site of Holy Trinity in 2013.

The Lodge of Unanimity No 3 is a historic Masonic lodge in Lyttelton, New Zealand. Freemasonry was a feature of life in Lyttelton as early as 1851, when a meeting was held to establish a lodge. The warrant for the Lodge of Unanimity arrived from England in 1853, making it the first in the South Island and only the third in New Zealand. It was initially lodge No. 879. The first meeting of the lodge happened on 26 May 1853 at the storeroom of Augustus Alport, who was the local auctioneer and a brother of the lodge. The first lodge building began construction in 1855 and opened in 1858; it was demolished in 1876. Prominent local doctor and magistrate William Donald was a founding member of the lodge, and later became Grandmaster of the Canterbury Region. The second lodge building was constructed on the same site in 1876. The design is a simple interpretation of the Gothic Revival movement, designed by Benjamin Mountfort, who was a lodge member and also designed the first lodge building. The building was extended with a timber refrectory in 1896, to a design by Mountfort's son Cyril. The building interior was ornately decorated in the style typical of Masonic lodges, including symbolic imagery. The wooden interior is made from kauri. The lodge building was listed as a Category II Historic Place by Heritage New Zealand in 1997. The lodge building was badly damaged during the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes.

Moncks Bay is a south-eastern suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. The first European owner of 100 acres (40 ha) in Moncks Bay was George Heath, who arrived in Lyttelton in March 1851 on the Isabella Hercus. He also had 500 acres (200 ha) of land on the hills behind. Heath sold the land to William McCormack in 1860; McCormacks Bay in the adjacent suburb Mount Pleasant is named for his brother. Moncks Bay changed owner again in 1868, and was purchased in 1869 by John Stanley Monck, after whom the area was named. Monck increased his land holdings up the hill by purchasing adjacent property from Dr Alfred Charles Barker (50 acres or 20 hectares) and in 1882, he acquired land from the estate of Alfred Watson that brought his holdings in Redcliffs to a total of about 300 acres (120 ha).

Lyttelton Museum is a museum in Lyttelton, New Zealand. It was opened in 1969 and has been closed since the 2010 and 2011 Christchurch earthquakes occurred. The museum building was demolished in 2012, and the museum is planning on moving into a new building in the future.
