Gyeongui Line Forest Park

Hongik University Station (Korean: 홍대입구역; Hanja: 弘大入口驛; RR: Hongdae-ipgu-yeok) is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 as well as the AREX and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. As its name indicates, it serves the nearby Hongik University. It was formerly known as Donggyo Station, after the neighborhood that it serves. As of December 2010, it has become a transfer station to the AREX and also was connected to the Gyeongui–Jungang Line.

Hongdae (Korean: 홍대) is a neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea near Hongik University, after which it is named. It is known for its urban arts and indie music culture, local shops, clubs, cafés and entertainment. The area is located in Mapo District in the western end of Seoul, stretching from Seogyo-dong, Hapjeong-dong & Seogang-dong.

Yeonnam-dong (Korean: 연남동) is a dong (neighbourhood) of Mapo District, Seoul, South Korea. The neighbourhood that was once simply a home to locals, has now emerged into a trendy location for many aspiring artists and designers. As more unique shops and cafes began to fill the streets and alleyways, the area gradually became a very popular area for young university students and tourists. The most popular attraction in Yeonnam-dong is Gyeongui Line Forest Park where the Gyeongui Line train formerly ran before it was moved underground.

Seogyo-dong (Korean: 서교동) is a dong (neighbourhood) of Mapo District, Seoul, South Korea.

The Seoul Korea Temple is the 37th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) (Korean: 예수 그리스도 후기 성도 교회) was unofficially established in South Korea as early as World War II due to religious influence by LDS servicemen; however, Korean people did not begin to get baptized until the missionary efforts of LDS servicemen during the Korean War. Kim Ho Jik was the first Korean person to be baptized in the LDS Church on July 29, 1951 in New York. Two of his children were of the first four Korean people baptized in Korea on August 3, 1952. LDS Church presence and missionary work was officially established on April 20, 1956 with the arrival of two missionaries: Don G. Powell and Richard L. Detton. The Korean Mission opened on July 8, 1962 with Gail E. Carr as the first president of the mission. Successful missionary work led to the growth of the LDS Church in the 1960s and 1970s leading to the organization of the first stake in Korea in 1973 and the dedication of the first temple in Seoul on December 14, 1985. Translation of the Book of Mormon was a lengthy process that commenced in the 1950s, however translators had a difficult time finishing the project. Kim Jo Hik aided translation throughout the process, but the translation was completed by Han In Sang and published on March 29, 1967. A re-translation of the Book of Mormon was completed in 2005. As of 2021, the LDS Church reported 88,603 members in 100 congregations in South Korea, making it the third largest body of LDS Church members in Asia behind the Philippines and Japan.

Hongik University (Korean: 홍익대학교; Hanja: 弘益大學校; RR: Hongik Daehakgyo, colloquially Hongdae) is a private university in Seoul, South Korea. Founded by an activist in 1946, the university is located in Mapo-gu district of central Seoul, South Korea with a second campus(branch campus) in Sejong. In addition, Hongik University(Seoul campus) is universities in Korea.Hongik University has a bachelor's degree in art(paint & drawing) in South Korea. However, the university also offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs. As of 2007, the university was home to 14,500 undergraduate students and 2,600 graduate students, and the undergraduate school consists of College of Fine Arts, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts, College of Architecture, College of Law, and College of Economics and Business Administration. The graduate school provides research-based and practice-based programs in comprehensive fields including liberal arts, engineering, fine arts and design, education, economics, performing arts, urban planning, architecture, film and photography. The shortened term for Hongik University, "Hongdae," serves as a metonym for the neighborhood.

Club Evans (Korean: 클럽에반스) is a jazz club in Mapo District, Seoul, South Korea. The club was founded on January 1, 2001, and is named for the American jazz pianist Bill Evans. The owner of the club reportedly considered naming the club after another jazz pianist Keith Jarrett, but preferred the sound of "Club Evans". The club is reportedly open most days, and hosts performances in the evenings. It is considered a platform for emerging jazz artists to perform. By 2012, it reportedly hosted over 10,000 musicians in over 4,000 performances. It also has jazz recording studios and a jazz academy as well. The club was closed for eight months beginning in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic; it then reopened and resumed performances.

Changcheon-dong is a dong, neighbourhood of Seodaemun-gu in Seoul, South Korea. The sole Mormon Temple in South Korea is located here.The Synnara Record Shop in Changcheon was used as one of the main filming locations for Seoul Broadcasting System's 2001 drama Beautiful Days, starring Lee Byung-hun, Choi Ji-woo, Ryu Si-won, Shin Min-a, Lee Jung-hyun and Lee Yoo-jinThe area has a 66㎡ store of Korean cosmetics brand Skin Food, which has been opened since June 2004 and it also sells Traditional Korean medicine or hanbang.

Changjeon-dong is a legal dong, neighbourhood of the Mapo-gu district in Seoul, South Korea and was merged with Sangsu-dong into Seogang-dong in January 2007.

The International Design school for Advanced Studies (IDAS, Korean: 홍익대학교 국제디자인전문대학원; Hanja: 弘益大學校 國際디자인專門大學院; RR: Hongik daehakgyo gukje dijain jeonmun daehakwon) is a graduate school affiliated with Hongik University in Seoul. It engages in local design education and research.

Sangsu station is a subway station on Seoul Subway Line 6. Along with Hongik University station on Line 2, it serves the area commonly called Hongdae, albeit geographically less convenient. The name of the subway station comes from its local name. The local name means the top of the river.
