The Parque Posadas (Posadas Park, in English) is a large apartments' complex placed in the geographical centre of Montevideo, Uruguay. It was built between 1969 and 1973, their firsts apartments were given that same year, although the official inauguration of the complex was August 25, 1975. It has a communal hall, a library, a shopping mall and a school. On the Parque Posadas environs there are many residences and old houses, a highschool, and several commerces, like bakeries, restaurants, ice cream shops and a big supermarket. The complex is formed by 10 blocks of buildings, each one of which are formed, as well, by 6 or 7 towers of 13, 14 or 15 floors, depending on the inclination of its internal streets. More than 7000 people live in the 2051 apartments of 1, 2, 3 or 4 rooms of each one of the 61 towers that occupy the Park, who has an 11 hectares (3.4 km2) area. 80% of the people are owners, and the dilatoriness in the common expenses is below of the 20%. The Parque Posadas' Library has more than 35,000 volumes, which turns it in the most important private library of the country.

The Japanese Garden of Montevideo (Spanish: Jardín Japonés de Montevideo; Japanese: モンテビデオの日本庭園) is located in the Prado neighbourhood of Montevideo, behind the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum. It was donated by Japan as a memorial to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries, and inaugurated on 24 September 2001 by Princess Sayako.A wooden plaque, with calligraphy by then Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, bears the inscription 平成苑 "Heisei Garden", being the year 13 of the Heisei Era (reign of Akihito) the moment of the inauguration.

Estadio Saroldi (full name: Parque Federico Omar Saroldi) is a multi-use stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 6,000 all seated.Originally, the stadium was named as "Olimpia Park", as it served as home to Olimpia. After River Plate's goalkeeper Federico Omar Saroldi was fatally injured, during a match between his team and Central Español, the stadium starting to hold goalkeeper's name.

Estadio Parque Alfredo Víctor Viera is a multi-purpose stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is the home of Montevideo Wanderers Fútbol Club, and is currently used solely for football matches. The stadium holds 7,243 people and was built in 1933. It has 4 seating sections, named after great players of the team: Obdulio Varela, Cayetano Saporitti, René "Tito" Borjas and Jorge "Chifle" Barrios. The stadium is located in the heart of the Prado neighborhood of Montevideo, in the intersection of Buschental Avenue and Atilio Pelossi Road.

Prado is a barrio (neighbourhood or district) and a major public park in Montevideo, Uruguay. Together with Nueva Savona, they form the Prado - Nueva Savona composite barrio. Prado is also the name given to all the park areas on both sides of Miguelete Creek, limited by the bridge of Agraciada Avenue over the river to the south and by Millan Avenue to the northeast.

The Church of Saint Charles Borromeo and Our Lady of the Assumption (Spanish: Iglesia de San Carlos Borromeo y Nuestra Señora de la Asunción) is a Roman Catholic parish church in the neighbourhood of Prado, Montevideo, Uruguay. The parish was established on 29 April 1934. The temple is an interesting example of Modern Architecture using reinforced concrete with parabolic shapes; the project was designed by architect Juan Pablo Terra, the structural calculation by Eladio Dieste, the acoustics by Luis García Pardo, and the construction was performed by the company Álvaro Palenga in 1956.

The Church of the Virgin of Mount Carmel and St. Thérèse of Lisieux (Spanish: Iglesia de la Virgen del Carmen y Santa Teresita), also known as Iglesia de los Carmelitas, is a Roman Catholic parish church in the neighbourhood of Prado, Montevideo, Uruguay.The church was built in Neo-Gothic style by architects Guillermo Armas and Albérico Isola, between 1929 and 1954. It was held by the Carmelites until 1995, then it was leased to the Archdiocese. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.The parish was established on 8 September 1962.

The Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (Spanish: Iglesia Ortodoxa Griega San Nicolás) is an Eastern Orthodox church building located in the grounds of the headquarters of the Greek Community in Prado neighbourhood in Montevideo, Uruguay. This church is a social and religious meeting point for the Greek Uruguayan community. It is part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Buenos Aires and South America.

Parque Prado is the largest of Montevideo's six principal public parks. Established in 1873, it covers an area of 106 hectares and is located in the barrio of Prado. Located in the northern part of the city, the Miguelete Creek flows through the neighbourhood and park of the same name. The Presidential Residence is located behind the Botanical Gardens. Surrounded by the avenues Agraciada, Lucas Obes, Joaquín Suárez, Luis Alberto de Herrera and Castro streets and José María Reyes is Rosedal, the rose garden. The garden contains four pergolas, eight domes, and a fountain, while the 12,000 roses were imported from France in 1910.There are two museums in the Prado. Established in 1930, Juan Manuel Blanes Museum is situated in the Palladian villa, a National Historic Landmark since 1975 and includes a Japanese garden. The Professor Atilio Lombardo Museum and Botanical Gardens were established in 1902. The National Institute of Physical Climatology and its observatory are also in the Prado.Across the Miguelete Creek from the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum, in the neighbourhood of Paso de las Duranas is a smaller park area which is called Prado Chico (Small Prado) and is considered as an extension of the Prado Park.
