The Stephen Haller Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. International Print Center New York is a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of fine art prints. It was founded by Anne Coffin and established in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York City in September 2000 as the only non-profit institution devoted solely to the exhibition and understanding of fine art prints. IPCNY fosters a climate for the enjoyment, examination and serious study of artists' prints from the old master to the contemporary. IPCNY nurtures the growth of new audiences for the visual arts while serving the print community through exhibitions, publications, and educational programs. In keeping with their mission to promote the greater appreciation and understanding of the fine art print, IPCNY presents a selection of new prints from emerging to established artists, made within the past twelve months, four times per year. In addition to its New Prints shows, IPCNY organizes two additional exhibitions per season in its gallery in Chelsea, one in the fall and one in the spring. These exhibitions provide context for the New Prints shows, presenting selections of prints from other periods or cultures. The prints are borrowed from public and private collections, and guest curated by experts in the field. Founded in 1995, IPCNY has exhibited work from emerging artists to international masters, including Ed Ruscha, Kiki Smith and Frank Stella.

The 2006 exhibition "Money Changes Everything" featured documentation from a conceptual work by Elizabeth Sisco, David Avalos and Louis Hock, in which the artists used a $5,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant for a program in which they systematically gave $10 bills to illegal immigrants in San Diego, enraging conservative politicians.

The McKittrick Hotel (also known as The McKittrick) is a performing arts venue themed as a 1930's hotel in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. It is located at 530 West 27th Street and is best known as the setting of the immersive theater production Sleep No More. It has also featured a bar and dining space known as Gallow Green on the roof, a restaurant called The Heath on the sixth floor, and the Manderley Bar on the second floor. In addition to Sleep No More, it has been used as a venue for a number of parties, performances, and special events. The venue's name is a reference to the Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo.

BravinLee programs is a contemporary art gallery in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. The gallery's programs support the exhibition of works on paper, artist books, public art projects, and artist-designed hand-knotted rugs. In 2006, the gallery organized a public art project called "Studio in the Park" that brought 11 site-specific artworks artworks to Riverside Park in upper Manhattan.One of the gallery's programs involves working with artists who design limited edition hand-knotted rugs. Rugs have been designed by Nina Bovasso, James Siena, Peter Halley, Thomas Nozkowski, Jonathan Lasker and James Welling. John Post Lee is the owner with Karin Bravin of BravinLee programs, a contemporary art gallery in Chelsea. The gallery opened in 1991. In 1994 the gallery moved to Mercer Street. BravinLee programs opened in 2006 to represent artists and collaborate with colleagues and institutions on a project-by-project basis. The gallery also shows one of kind books, produces rug editions and curates public art installations. In 2006, the gallery organized Studio in The Park, an outdoor installation in Riverside Park and logistical assistance for Illumination, on the grounds of The Rothko Chapel. Since 2009 the gallery has worked with The Downtown Alliance of Manhattan as an adjunct curator producing public art projects for construction remediation. In the fall of 2011, the gallery will plan an exhibit on the grounds of Lehman College in the Bronx.

Twilo was an American nightclub in operation from 1995 to 2001 in New York City and from 2006 to 2007 in Miami. The New York location at 530 West 27th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan regularly attracted a crowd of thousands to its warehouse-like dance floor. Playing host to dozens of legendary DJs from around the world, the club was important in popularizing international styles of house and trance music within the United States.

The Laurence Miller Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in New York City, and has been described as "one of the longest-running American galleries devoted to photography".

The West Chelsea Historic District is a portion of the neighborhood of Chelsea in Manhattan, New York City. It was designated as the city's 92nd historic district in July 2008 by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.It encompasses a portion of the streets between 25th and 28th Streets between Tenth Avenue and the West Side Highway and was designated as such for its architectural and manufacturing heritage. Approximately 30 structures within the district date from between 1885 and 1930 including the London Terrace Gardens, the Otis Elevator Building and the Terminal Stores building. Some of the galleries in the Chelsea Arts District are housed in the District's historic buildings.

Jungle City Studios is a recording studio owned and operated by Ann Mincieli, Alicia Keys's longtime engineer and studio coordinator. Located in Chelsea, Manhattan, it was designed by John Storyk of Walters-Storyk Design Group.
