Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia

The Sedgwick Theater is a historic American theater in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1928 and designed by architect William Harold Lee. It is one of the remaining 20 Philadelphia theaters as of 2006 which he designed; nine have been demolished. Only two in Philadelphia are open – The Ace Theater (Holiday Art Theater) and The Sedgwick Theater. Two more of Lee's theaters just outside of Philadelphia have been restored: the Bryn Mawr and the Hiway Theater in Jenkintown. The Sedgwick Theater, located at 7137 Germantown Ave in Philadelphia, is designed in the 1920s style of an art deco movie palace. It was built during a movie revolution with the advent of sync sound and hosted silent films as well as talkies. This perhaps explains the theater's design including a stage for live performance, as well as its large single screen. The Sedgwick was designed to include a balcony, but shortly before construction, it was removed from the plans (a balcony would likely have increased seating to 2000). This accounts for its vaulted ceilings.

Mount Airy station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station at 119 East Gowen Avenue between Devon and Sprague Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was built in 1875 with Frank Furness as the likely architect. The National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form lists the architect as unknown, but notes the similarities to the nearby Gravers station which was designed by Furness. Both stations display an aggressively styled roofline in the Queen Anne Stick Style. The Mount Airy station's roof is described as "combining hipped, gabled, jerkinhead designs with a double splayed profile" and the Graver's Lane Station might be considered even more aggressive.The station is in zone 2 on the Chestnut Hill East Line, on former Reading Railroad tracks, and is 9.3 track miles from Suburban Station. In 2013, this station saw 193 boardings and 159 alightings on an average weekday.A used book store formerly occupied much of the station building.

Grace Church, Mt. Airy (Grace Epiphany Church) is an historic Episcopal church, which is located at 224 East Gowen Avenue in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Henry H. Houston Elementary School is an historic elementary school which is located in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Richard Allen Lane station (formerly Allen Lane station) is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia. It is located at 200 West Allens Lane in the Mount Airy neighborhood and serves the Chestnut Hill West Line. The station building was built circa 1880. Like many in Philadelphia, it retains much of its Victorian/Edwardian appearance. The former station building now houses a coffee shop, the High Point Cafe. The station is in zone 2 on the Chestnut Hill West Line, on former Pennsylvania Railroad tracks, and is 10.1 track miles from Suburban Station. In fiscal 2012, this station saw 307 boardings on an average weekday.

The Lutheran Home in Germantown, now Silver Springs – Martin Luther School, began in 1859 as an orphanage for children that was originally located in the Mt. Airy, Philadelphia. This institution was a continuation of the work of Rev. William A. Passavant but was founded and managed by Elizabeth Fry Ashmead Schaeffer, who received a single dollar from Passavant and began the mission. The Lutheran Home in Germantown later moved to the Silver Springs property in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, where it continues as a residential treatment facility for children and school for elementary students and middle schoolers.

Sedgwick station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station at 253 East Mount Pleasant Avenue between Sprague and Devon Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The old station building was built in 1882 with Furness & Evans as the architect, but was damaged in an arson fire around 1980 and demolished. The current station facility consists of low level platforms with open shelters. A walkway under the tracks was sealed off due to criminal activity. The station is in zone 2 on the Chestnut Hill East Line, on former Reading Railroad tracks, and is 8.9 track miles from Suburban Station. In 2013, this station saw 225 boardings and 279 alightings on an average weekday.

The Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting is a monthly meeting (congregation) of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). First meeting in 1924, they were the first "United" monthly meeting, reconciling Philadelphia Quakers after the Hicksite/Orthodox schism of 1827. The original Meeting House, built in 1931, was located at 100 E. Mermaid Lane in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was replaced in 2012-2013 by the current meeting house, located at 20 E. Mermaid Lane, which incorporates a Skyspace designed by Quaker light artist James Turrell, the second such installation to be incorporated into a working religious space. The new Quaker meeting house is the first to be built in Philadelphia in eighty years.The Meeting House is an active center for worship and the activities of the Monthly Meeting. Since 1955, it has been a part of the Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting. The meeting has participated in the Yearly Meetings of Friends. The multi-purpose building offers a variety of programs that are open to both Quakers and non-Quakers. The meeting works with the Northwest Interfaith Hospitality Network to provide short term housing for families in transition. It also engages with other community organizations such as the Friends Council and Mt. Airy Learning Tree.

The Baleroy Mansion is a 32-room estate located in the historic and affluent Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It has obtained the title of "Most Haunted Home in America" The name "Baleroy" was chosen by its owner George Meade Easby, great-grandson of General George Meade (hero of the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War). The estate's name was likely derived from Balleroy in France.

The Robert M. Hogue House is an historic, American mansion that is located in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 16, 1986.

The Germantown Jewish Centre is a Conservative synagogue and community centre located in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Established in 1974, the synagogue is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. The Centre is home to multiple, distinct prayer communities including Dorshei Derekh, a Reconstructionist minyan, transliterated from Hebrew as "Seekers of a Way". The Dorshei Derekh minyan is affiliated with Reconstructing Judaism. The Centre also houses The Charry Service, a traditional, egalitarian service with a focus on learning; Minyan Masorti, an egalitarian version of a traditional service; and Kol D’mamah, a meditation, chant and yoga form of practice.
