Bakırköy Sahil is an underground station on the M3 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Galleria Inner Road at Galleria Ataköy in the Ataköy 1. kısım neighbourhood of Bakırköy. It was opened on 10 March 2024, with the opening of the M3 extension from Kirazlı, and is the southern terminus of the line.

Galleria Ataköy, the first modern shopping mall in Turkey, is situated in the western suburb of Ataköy, Istanbul. It was built following the recommendation of then Prime Minister Turgut Özal, who was inspired by the shopping mall Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, United States. Galleria Ataköy was opened in 1988 by Turgut Özal.

Galleria Ice Rink (Turkish: Galleria Buz Pisti) is an indoor ice skating and ice hockey rink located within the Galleria Ataköy shopping center located in Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was opened in 1989. The rink is run by the company "Galleria Buz Pateni Pisti", a subsidiary of the shopping mall.The venue hosts all kinds of ice sports events in Istanbul including Turkish ice hockey leagues for men's, women's and junior's. It is home to the ice hockey club Istanbul Paten Kulübü. By April 2010, the director general of the Galleria shopping mall announced that the ice rink will be closed to make space for additional recreational places and new stores within the renovation project of the shopping mall.

Ataköy is a quarter of Bakırköy district in Istanbul Province, Turkey. It was developed as one of the first examples of satellite-city projects in Turkey. Ataköy is located in Bakırköy district on the European side of Istanbul. It is adjacent to Bahçelievler district and Şirinevler neighborhood. The area in the then outskirt of Istanbul City, which Ataköy today covers, belonged to the Turkish military, and was called Baruthane (literally: gunpowder magazine). In the 1950s, the government of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes (in office (1950–1960) transferred the property to the state-owned realty business bank Emlak Bank for envelopment as a satellite city of affordable housing for middle income households. In 1956, the project started with the construction of a beach site. The residence area was named "Ataköy" (literally "Atatürkville"). The project included 12,000 apartments, three hotels, beach, clubs, shopping malls, cultural center and sports facilities.Ataköy quarter consists of four neighborhoods with eleven sections of apartment blocks. The quarter is a peaceful residential area with wide green zones. The neighborhoods in the quarter are the Ataköy 1st Section, the 2nd-5th-6th Section, the 3rd-4th-11th Section and the 7th-8th-9th-10th Section. The 9th and 10th Sections were developed in 1986, and the 7th and 8th Sections were completed in 1990. In the recent years, some construction companies built residence blocks around the existing apartment blocks.Following facilities are situated in Ataköy: Yunus Emre Cultural Center, Conservatoty of Bakırköy Municipality, Ataköy Marina, Atrium Shopping Mall, Galleria Ataköy and Ataköy A Plus Shopping Mall, Sinan Erdem Dome, Ataköy Athletics Arena.

Bakırköy is a neighbourhood, municipality and district on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey. The quarter is densely populated, has a residential character and is inhabited by an upper middle class population. The municipality of Bakırköy is much larger than the quarter and also includes several other neighbourhoods, such as Yeşilköy, Yeşilyurt, Ataköy. Bakırköy lies between the D.100 highway (locally known as E-5) and the coast of the Sea of Marmara. Bakırköy has a large psychiatric hospital called "Bakırköy Ruh ve Sinir Hastalıkları Hastanesi", and is an important shopping and commercial center.

Bakırköy Synagogue is a synagogue in Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey active since the late 19th century for the Jews of the area. Because of a decrease in the Jewish population in the area it is now only open for Shabbat services.

Ataköy Olympic Pool Stadium was an open-air swimming stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. The 1999 European Aquatics Championships were held in the 50 m pool. Alongside swimming, aquatic sports included diving, synchronised swimming and open water swimming.

Ahmet Cömert Sport Hall (Turkish: Ahmet Cömert Spor Salonu) is a multi-purpose indoor sport venue located in Ataköy neighborhood of Bakırköy district in Istanbul, Turkey. The hall, with a capacity for 3,500 people, was built in 1998 within the Olympic complex. The venue has a parking lot capable of 150 cars. It is owned by the Youth and Sports Directorate of Istanbul Province (İstanbul GSM).Named in honor of the Turkish amateur boxer and sports official Ahmet Cömert (1926-1990), the sport hall hosts matches of the Turkish Basketball League and Turkish Wheelchair Basketball Super League. Since 2005, it is home to the Galatasaray Wheelchair Basketball Team. Other sports, which take place at Ahmet Cömert Sport Hall, include boxing, gymnastics, fencing, chess and as well as some individual sports.The venue hosts amateur boxing competitions in memoriam of Ahmet Cömert, which are held annually at international level.In October 2012, Dizdar Sport Club's women's basketball team, which entered the Turkish Women's Basketball 2nd League (TKB2L), play their home matches at the Ahmet Cömert Sport Hall.

Ataköy Athletics Arena (Turkish: Ataköy Atletizm Salonu), is an indoor sporting arena for track and field athletics events located in Ataköy, Istanbul, Turkey.

Bakırköy railway station (Turkish: Bakırköy istasyonu) is the main railway station in Bakırköy, Istanbul. Located 12.6 km (7.8 mi) west of Sirkeci station, the station was serviced by Istanbul suburban commuter trains as well as TCDD regional trains to Kapıkule, Çerkezköy and Uzunköprü. The station was closed in March 2013 and subsequently demolished to make way for a larger, more modern station as part of the Marmaray project. The rebuilt station was opened on 12 March 2019.The new Bakırköy station has two platforms serving four tracks.

Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital, short for Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Education and Research Hospital (Turkish: Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Ruh Sağlığı ve Sinir Hastalıkları Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi), is a mental health hospital of the Health Ministry located in Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The hospital is named after Mazhar Osman, who is also considered the founder of modern psychiatry in Turkey.

Carousel Shopping Center (Turkish: Carousel Alışveriş ve Yaşam Merkezi), opened in 1995, is a modern shopping mall located in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The shopping center with its 76,500 m² area has 117 shops, fast food restaurants, cafeterias, entertainment center and movie theaters. There are 7 elevators and 12 escalators providing easy access to 1.5 million visitors monthly. Car parking is free for the shoppers. Its attractions include discussion panels, music recitals, an art gallery where exhibitions by both amateur and professional artists are held, book-signing sessions by famous authors, and special weeks featuring different countries. In 1996, Carousel was honored with "Jean-Louis Solal Marketing Award" of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
