Clovis West High School

Fresno Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary (FMBI) was established by the First Missionary Baptist Church of Fresno on September 10, 1978, under the leadership of Dr. Burel G Burnes. FMBI offers training courses for ministers and Christian workers. Currently, the school offers many courses in Christian education and theology including Biblical language courses. FMBI's current president is also Pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Fresno, Dr. David M. Butimore Sr.

Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy is a correspondence law school in Fresno, California. It is not accredited but is registered with the State Bar of California and authorized to grant the degree of Juris Doctor. Graduates are therefore able to take the bar exam in California but may not be able to do so in other states. It was started in 1994 to "train individuals who desire to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ through service as advocates of truth, counselors of reconciliation, and ministers of justice in the fields of law and government policy."

Peoples Church is an evangelical non-denominational Christian megachurch in Fresno, California, USA. The church is led by Pastor Dale Oquist. The church campus includes Fresno Christian High School, a private school attended by students in grades K-12.

Woodward Park is a public park located in Fresno, California, abutting the San Joaquin River, opened in 1968. It is named after the late Ralph Woodward who bequeathed a portion of his estate to provide a regional park and bird sanctuary in Fresno. The park has a multi-use amphitheatre, an authentic Japanese Garden, disc golf course, BMX course, three children's playgrounds, a lake and trails that connect to the Lewis S. Eaton Trail.

Pinedale is a previously unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It lies at an elevation of 348 feet (106 m). It was once a rural community located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-northwest of Clovis but has since become surrounded and annexed by the city of Fresno. Millerton Lake State Recreational Area is to its NE. The ZIP Code is 93650, and the community is inside area code 559. The first post office in Pinedale opened in 1923.

The Helm Canal is an aqueduct named after William Helm in Clovis, California, United States, involved in a series of water transfers to eliminate selenium bearing brackish waters to the San Joaquin River to bypass agricultural deliveries.The Helm canal was previously used to irrigate numerous properties that were in agricultural usage and are presently converted to urban uses such as the site of the Clovis Towne Center. Topography in the locale of the Helm Canal is generally very level having been formed by alluvial fans. The elevation in the vicinity of the Helm Canal is approximately 350 ft (110 m) to 375 ft (114 m) above mean sea level datum.

Clovis Community College is a public community college in northeastern Fresno, California near Clovis. It is in the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) along with Fresno City College and Reedley College (which includes the Madera and Oakhurst Centers). It has a satellite campus on Herndon Avenue in Fresno.

Valley Children's Hospital (VCH), formerly Children's Hospital Central California is a stand-alone, pediatric acute care children's teaching hospital located in Madera County, California. The hospital has 358 pediatric beds and is affiliated the Stanford University School of Medicine. The hospital is a member of Valley Children's Healthcare and is one of only two children's hospitals in the network, servicing approximately 1.3 million children and adolescents in their coverage area. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Madera County, Fresno, and California. Valley Children's also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care.Valley Children's also features the largest ACS verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center in the region, the only Level IV NICU in the Central Valley, and the only provider of pediatric extracorporeal life support (ECLS) for their service area. Valley Children's is one of the largest providers of pediatric health services in California and in the country. The hospital is adjacent to the Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley.

Herbert Hoover High School is a public secondary school in the Fresno Unified School District serving Fresno, California, United States, in northern Fresno County. It is named for Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States. Starting with the 2023 – 2024 school year the principal is Mr. Courtney Curtis. He replaced Rebecca Wheeler. Prior to becoming principal of Hoover, Mr. Curtis was principal of Gaston Middle School and before that he was a vice principal at Hoover.
