The Sheepshead Bay station is an express station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. It is located in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn. It is served by the Q train at all times and by the B train on weekdays.

Lundy's Restaurant, also known as Lundy Brothers Restaurant, was an American seafood restaurant in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City, along the bay of the same name. Lundy's was founded in 1926 by Irving Lundy as a restaurant on the waterfront of Sheepshead Bay; five years later, the original building was condemned to make way for a redevelopment of the bay. The present building opened in 1934 or 1935, and closed in 1979. Another restaurant operated in the Lundy's building from 1997 to early 2007, after which the building was converted into a shopping center. Lundy's, the last of the many seafood restaurants that once lined Sheepshead Bay, was well known for its cuisine and was among the largest restaurants in the United States upon its completion, with between 2,400 and 2,800 seats. At its peak, Lundy's served a million patrons annually. The building, designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission as an official city landmark, was designed by architects Bloch & Hesse in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The building's distinguishing features include its multiple tiers of red-tile roofs, its leadlight windows, and decorative ironwork, a style of architecture that is used on few other buildings in the New York metropolitan area.

The Cherry Hill Gourmet Market is a 19,000-square-foot (1,800 m2) Russian themed specialty grocery and deli located on the corner of Emmons Avenue and Ocean Avenue on the water in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York City. It is the principal establishment occupying the former Lundy's Restaurant (now Lundy's Landing Shopping Plaza), which also houses Momoyama Japanese Restaurant and Masal Turkish Cafe on the first floor, and professional offices on the upper floors. Opened by Russian born fruit and vegetable produce entrepreneur David Isaev in May 2009, the creation of the market put an end to attempts to revive Lundy's. The facade of the Lundy's building, an official New York City landmark, remains the same. The market and other businesses located within the landmark Lundy's structure remain embroiled in legal controversy due to ongoing violations in of zoning laws created to protect Lundy's.

The Holocaust Memorial Park is a public Holocaust memorial park located at the water's edge between Emmons Avenue and Shore Boulevard in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn. The nearby communities of Sheepshead Bay, Manhattan Beach, and Brighton Beach were settled after World War II by a large Jewish population, many of whom were immigrants and survivors of the Holocaust. The Memorial Park is the only public Holocaust memorial park in New York City. It is a New York City-owned park maintained by the Parks Department. The Brooklyn-based non-profit organization “The Holocaust Memorial Committee” has control over the park's markers.

Randazzo's Clam Bar is an Italian Restaurant, opened in 1959, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. It was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 but was able to reopen 6 months later.The restaurant appeared on Man v. Food (season 9) where host Casey Webb had the linguine with white clam sauce. Randazzo's was one of Anthony Bourdain's five favorite under-the-radar NYC restaurants. He is favorite dish is the lobster fra diavolo and he also enjoyed the chicken parmigiana, and broiled salmon. He said "portions that could have once fed an entire block on the Lower East Side."

The Waldbaum's Supermarket Fire was a major American fire on 2 August 1978 in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York that killed six FDNY firefighters. The Waldbaum's store at 2892 Ocean Avenue was undergoing extensive renovations, but was open for customers when the fire broke out.

Manhattan Beach Jewish Center is a historic synagogue and community center located in the Manhattan Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. Located at 60 West End Avenue, the synagogue was completed in 1952. It was designed by Jacob W. Sherman in the Bauhaus style, similar to European synagogues of the 1930s, Ten years after the synagogue was opened, the adjoining seven-story community center was built. It is an example of the "Jewish Center" movement which was coming into its own at the time. The synagogue is a two-story-and-mezzanine Modern Movement building with a limestone façade and granite base. It has a short tower and recessed shallow entrance porch, flanked on either side by a single unadorned column.The Orthodox Jewish community which built the synagogue and adjoining community center is itself over 90 years old.During Superstorm Sandy, the Center experienced serious damage. NYS Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz reported witnessing 350,000 gallons of water and oil being pumped out of the basement. Two years after the storm, the Center was still recovering.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015, one of only two properties in all of New York City to be nominated for the distinction by then-Governor Andrew Cuomo, to both the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

Sheepshead Bay Race Track was an American Thoroughbred horse racing facility built on the site of the Coney Island Jockey Club at Sheepshead Bay, New York.

Shore Boulevard Mall is a waterfront promenade extending for nearly a mile along the southern bank of Sheepshead Bay in the Manhattan Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Residential development began in the area in 1907, following the decline of local racetracks and hotels. Along the northern side of the Manhattan Beach peninsula, Shore Boulevard was constructed in 1907 in a manner resembling a parkway, with a wide shoulder along the water's edge containing rows of trees and a pedestrian path with benches overlooking Sheephead Bay.At the eastern tip of Manhattan Beach, Kingsborough Community College occupies the former site of a United States Coast Guard station; while the western end of Shore Boulevard contains Holocaust Memorial Park, which contains a monument completed in 1997 to commemorate victims of Nazi persecution. Between these two sites, the Ocean Avenue Footbridge connects Shore Boulevard Mall to mainland Brooklyn.

Brighton Beach is a neighborhood in the southern portion of the New York City borough of Brooklyn, within the greater Coney Island area along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. It is known for its high population of Russian-speaking immigrants, and as a summer destination for New York City residents due to its beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and its proximity to the amusement parks in Coney Island. Brighton Beach is part of Brooklyn Community District 13, and its primary ZIP Code is 11235. It is patrolled by the 60th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Politically, Brighton Beach is represented by the New York City Council's 48th District.

Big Daddy's restaurants is a now defunct chain of restaurants founded in 1964 on Coney Island Avenue in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn serving a myriad of food types ranging from European to Asian inspired dishes. In an article dated April 8, 1990 in the Miami Herald, Napp was looking to make a comeback with the Big Daddy's name by opening a location on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. Napp died in November 1990, theoretically ending chances of revival.
