The school's attendance zone includes the city of Montgomery and portions of unincorporated Montgomery County, including most of the west and south shores of Lake Conroe. For the 2018–2019 year, the school received an "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency.

Lake Creek High School (LCHS) is a high school in unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas, in the United States. It is the second high school built by Montgomery Independent School District. The school was built after enrollment at Montgomery High School exceeded building capacity. Lake Creek opened on August 21, 2018, for the 2018–2019 school year. The first principal was Phil Eaton. The school is located on Farm to Market Road 2854. Lake Creek High School is named after the Lake Creek Settlement: an early settlement in Stephen F. Austin's Second Colony established before Texas' independence from Mexico.

Lake Conroe is a 21,000-acre (85 km2) lake in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. Even though it is named Lake Conroe, only a small portion of the lake is in Conroe, Texas. Most of the lake is in unincorporated Montgomery County. The lake lies on the West Fork of the San Jacinto River, just west of Interstate 45 off State Highway 105 in Montgomery and Walker counties. Lake Conroe is a popular attraction for boating, jet-skiing, and fishing.

Magnolia High School (MHS) is one of two public high schools in the Magnolia Independent School District in Magnolia, Texas, United States. For 2018–19, the school received a score of 89 out of 100 from the Texas Education Agency.

Excel Academy was a coeducational boarding school located in Conroe, Texas, established circa 1998 and operated by the Aspen Education Group beginning in 2001. Excel Academy was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school enrolled adolescents with behavioral issues and provided a college preparatory high school curriculum and treatment based on the 12-step philosophy. Beginning with the 2007–2008 school year, Excel limited new enrollment to students with no history of conduct disorders and whose history included substance abuse as a primary issue. The school had required some students to wear orange jumpsuits, but the practice was discontinued in the 2007–2008 school year. In January 2008 a Montgomery County sheriff's deputy who had been moonlighting at Excel Academy was fired by the county and indicted on charges of official oppression and unlawful restraint after an incident in which he was alleged to have thrown a male student to the ground, handcuffed him, and taken him to the county jail. At the jail, inmates reportedly undressed the boy and applied Vaseline to his back. In April 2009 the policeman was sentenced to 30 days in jail and one year of deferred adjudication.

Todd Mission is a city in Grimes County, Texas, United States. It lies on Farm to Market Road 1774, fifty miles (80 km) northwest of Houston. The population was 107 as of the 2010 census, down from 146 at the 2000 census. The city is home to the Texas Renaissance Festival.

The Texas Renaissance Festival (dubbed the Ren Fest) is an annual Renaissance fair located in Todd Mission, Texas, about 55 miles northwest of Houston.The Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF) started in 1974 on the location of an old strip mining site. The festival claims to be "the nation’s largest Renaissance theme park." As of 2017, the festival sits on 55 acres of land, and offers over 200 acres of camping facilities to patrons. The festival regularly draws over half a million guests annually, making it the largest Renaissance festival in the country by attendance.

Magnolia is a city in southwestern Montgomery County, Texas, United States within the Houston metropolitan area. It is named for the magnolia trees that grow in the area. The population was 2,359 at the 2020 United States Census.
