Clarence Street is a former rugby stadium in York, England. From 1885 until 1989 it was the home of York F.C. (later York R.L.F.C.) before being sold and demolished. The site is now housing.

The Groves is a district of York, England, covering the area just north of the city centre between Huntington Road and Haxby Road. The district is near York Hospital and the city ring road. In the 19th century the area was populated by poor working-class inhabitants of long rows of back-to-back houses. It consists largely of close-knit terraces, the majority of which date from the first two decades of the 20th century. In the early 1960s, a large number of very small terraced houses were demolished to make way for flats and maisonettes which were built between Garden Street, Penleys Grove/Townend Street and Lowther Street; this area has a residents' association.The Groves area contains a mixture of privately owned and rented properties, and council housing, and contains a number of students from York St John University. Lowther Street is the main area for local shopping, with an Indian restaurant and takeaway, Chinese takeaway, a small supermarket and a shop specialising in Polish food. In Penleys Grove Street there is a grocery shop. Lowther Street has historically been a busy route for traffic during rush hour, however in 2020 traffic has been re-routed away from Lowther Street through an 18-month experimental low traffic trial run by York Council based on feedback from residents of the Groves who desire "better air quality," "less and slower traffic" and "the chance to build on the existing sense of community."The Groves includes Park Grove Primary School, the Young Groves centre, Door 84, and St Thomas' Church.There is a police team which works with the community. In 2015 a ban on drinking alcohol on the streets was introduced to reduce anti-social behavior in the Groves. The area crime rate is one of the lowest in York.

Grays Court is a Grade I listed house in York, England. The house is within the city walls near York Minster. Dating back in part to 1080 and commissioned by the first Norman Archbishop of York to provide the official residence for the Treasurers of York Minster.

York Deanery is an historic building in York, England. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England. The property is located around 400 feet (120 m) to the north of York Minster, on Minster Yard, and behind York Minster Library. The building, designed in the neo-Georgian style by architects Rutherford and Syme (one of their final works), is of red brick with ashlar dressings. It has a plain-tile hipped roof, with four chimney stacks. It replaced an earlier residence of the Dean of York.The front gate of the property, which opens out onto the cul-de-sac that makes up the northern end of Minster Yard, is topped by the coats of arms of the Diocese of York.

It is managed by York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS foundation trust which also runs several other hospitals in North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire, including Scarborough Hospital, Bridlington Hospital and Malton Community Hospital.

Minster Court is a Grade II* listed group of buildings lying off Minster Yard, in the city centre of York in England.

68 and 70 Walmgate is a historic building in the city centre of York, in England. The house lies on the northeast side of Walmgate. It was constructed in about 1700, although Historic England states that it probably has earlier origins; some of the roof timbers are Mediaeval. It was a large house, with four bedrooms and servants' quarters, unusual for the street which had high levels of poverty and several industrial sites. The building was altered in 1783, which may be when it was divided in two, with the ground floor converted to shops. In the mid-19th century, 70 Walmgate was occupied by the vicar of nearby St Margaret's Church. The whole property was purchased by Age Concern in 1985, which converted it into a single shop, with offices above. In 2021, it was converted into a single holiday let, named The Georgian Townhouse. It has been Grade II* listed since 1971. The house is two storeys tall, with attics and a cellar. It is five bays wide, and is constructed of orange brick with a pantile roof. There are five upper floor windows, the wall above set slightly further forward. There is a drainpipe with the date 1783. In plan, the first floor has two large rooms at the front and two smaller rooms with a stairwell between at the back, while the servants' staircase is to the left. Original plasterwork survives, as does some panelling and a fireplace.

The Treasurer's House in York, North Yorkshire, England, is a Grade I listed historic house owned by the National Trust, who also maintain its garden. It is located in Minster Yard, directly to the north of York Minster.

Ogleforth is a street in the city centre of York, in England.

Cromwell House is a grade II* listed house on Ogleforth, in the city centre of York, in England. The house was built in about 1700, and is of two storeys, with an attic. It is roughly square in plan. The rear half of the house is lower than the front part, and was originally under two separate roofs, each with its own gable, an arrangement altered in the 19th century. Between the two parts of the rear half is a timber-framed partition, which survives from an earlier building on the site, and the roof also has much reused timber. The interior was remodelled in about 1760, from which time the staircase survives.The principle interest of the house lies in its facade, which the Royal Commission on Historic Monuments described as "architecturally ambitious". It is of five bays, and originally had pilasters at each end, one of which survives. It also originally had an entablature running the full width of the second storey, which has also been lost. The doorway has a moulded stone surround. The ground and first floor windows are all 12-pane sashes, while the pediment has three small rectangular windows flanked by a pair of oval windows.In 1974, the front of the house was rebuilt, and the rear gable demolished in the 19th century was rebuilt. The building was renovated in about 1980, for use as offices, but in 2011, it was converted into flats
