Cincinnati City Hall is the seat of the municipal government of Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed in 1893, the Richardson Romanesque structure was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on December 11, 1972. The building was designed by Samuel Hannaford at a cost of $1.61 million. The main building comprises four and a half stories with a nine-story clock tower. The building was constructed by the David Hummel company of Cincinnati using stone quarried in Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, and Indiana. Marble stairways and wainscoting originated in Italy and Tennessee, while granite columns were obtained from Vermont. Stained glass windows were installed which depict Cincinnatus and illustrate Cincinnati's early history.The first city hall was built on this site in 1852 and was demolished in 1888 to make way for the current structure. Construction costs for the building totaled $1.61 million of which $54,000 was paid to Samuel Hannaford as architect and construction superintendent. "Cincinnati's City Hall represents the prevailing architectural tastes at the time of its construction and the influence of H. H. Richardson on its designer, Samuel Hannaford. Richardson's winning design for the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce building was executed in the 1880s; however, the building's demolition in 1911 left City Hall the best remaining example of Richardson Romanesque in Cincinnati. Samuel Hannaford practiced from 1858 until 1897 and made a significant contribution to the architectural heritage of the Cincinnati area." An optical trick known as forced perspective makes the building appear even larger than it actually is. As it becomes taller, its windows get smaller.

The Isaac M. Wise Temple (formerly the Plum Street Temple) is the historic synagogue erected for Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise and his congregation in Cincinnati, Ohio. Wise was among the founders of American Reform Judaism. The temple building was designed by prominent Cincinnati architect James Keys Wilson. Its design was inspired by the Alhambra at Granada.The temple is located at 720 Plum Street in Cincinnati, Ohio and was built by members of the Lodge Street Synagogue. It was built chiefly during the Civil War, at a cost of $275,000. The temple was dedicated on Friday, August 24, 1866, and is among the oldest synagogue buildings still standing in the United States.The temple is across Plum Street from the historic Saint Peter In Chains Cathedral and next to the site of the former St. Paul Episcopal Cathedral, which was torn down in 1937. In 1972, the Plum Street Temple was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975 for its architecture and its role in the Reform movement.

The Goodall Building is a historic commercial building in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Located on Ninth Street in the northwestern portion of the city's downtown, it was designed by George W. Rapp and erected in 1893. The building's walls are constructed primarily of brick and sandstone, although elements of iron and of other kinds of stone are also manifested on the exterior.The building's first owner, William Goodall, was a dealer of stone objects, selling blocks of granite and marble for various purposes. Both before and after arranging for the present structure's construction with Rapp, a leading city architect, he occupied premises nearby. Rather than using his new structure for his own business, he rented it to others; among his tenants were banks and various corporate offices.The Goodall Building is distinguished from surrounding structures by its many Second Renaissance Revival architectural elements. Such stone details as prominent columns and pilasters, a cornice with many articulations, and large blocks of sandstone, combined with the building's oriel windows, have led architectural historians to see it as one of Cincinnati's best examples of commercial Second Renaissance Revival architecture. In recognition of its well-preserved historic architecture, the Goodall Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in early 1984.

Lloyd Library and Museum is an independent research library located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Its core subject and collection focus is medicinal plants, with emphasis on botany, pharmacy, natural history, alternative medicine, and the history of medicine and science.

The Fire Museum of Greater Cincinnati, also known as the Cincinnati Fire Museum, preserves and exhibits Greater Cincinnati, Ohio's firefighting artifacts and honors firefighters, both past and present. Over 200 years of firefighting history is on display in the Fire Museum of Greater Cincinnati. Exhibits include examples of early leather fire buckets, an 1808 fire drum, the oldest surviving fire engine in Cincinnati, and an 1836 hand pumper. The museum also features and interactive exhibit that allows visitors to experience a modern Emergency-One fire engine cab by wailing the siren, ringing the bell, and flashing the lights.

The St. Paul Episcopal Cathedral (1852) was located on the southeast corner of Seventh and Plum Streets, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The church was across from the Saint Peter in Chains Cathedral and next to the Plum Street Temple. The original St. Paul's Episcopal Church was located at 111 East Fourth Street. The congregation was formed in 1828 by the Rev. Samuel Johnson, pastor of Christ Church. He had been unable to collect two years of back pay. He won over a sizable portion of the flock to the new church. In 1883 the church merged with St. John's Episcopal Church at Seventh and Plum Streets, which had been formed by the Rev. Nicholson in 1851. The church became the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio. One guidebook writes of the church, "For decades after the completion of this stately church in 1852, elegant and fashionable Cincinnatians worshiped there." The Rev. Nicholas Hamner Cobbs served this church for several years before becoming Bishop of Alabama. Salmon P. Chase was superintendent of the Sunday school. The building was demolished in 1937. Many of its members had moved to the suburbs. Today Christ Church Cathedral on Fourth Street is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, and the chapel in the diocesan headquarters next door (which also houses the Forward Movement) is named after St. Paul.

The Covenant First Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) located at 717 Elm Street at Eighth Street and Garfield Place in Cincinnati, Ohio. Two churches, the First Presbyterian and Covenant Presbyterian merged in the 1933 to become the Covenant First Presbyterian Church. The first Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati was on the north side of Fourth Street near Main and was organized October 16, 1790.

Cincinnati and Suburban Telephone Company Building is a registered historic building in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was designed by Harry Hake, and listed in the National Register on April 20, 1995. The Cincinnati Bell Company opened its building at Seventh and Elm streets in 1931. At that time, it housed the world's longest straight switchboard, with 88 operator positions.The building was built in such a way as to protect the city's phone network. With a push of a button heavy steel doors will lock and metal covers will spring up over the windows on the lower floors. Representations of rotary telephones are carved into the limestone frieze on the building's facade. Continuing the communication motif, still other reliefs depict a runner, telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell, and nautical flag signals.

An equestrian statue of William Henry Harrison stands in Cincinnati's Piatt Park, in the United States. The monumental statue was designed by sculptor Louis Rebisso and was unveiled on Decoration Day, 1896. The statue has been the subject of recent controversy due to Harrison being a slaveowner, with efforts made to remove the statue during the George Floyd protests.

The Ninth Street Historic District is a group of historic buildings located along Ninth Street on the northern side of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Composed of buildings constructed between the second quarter of the nineteenth century and the second quarter of the twentieth, it was primarily built between 1840 and 1890, when Cincinnati was experiencing its greatest period of growth. The district embraces the blocks of Ninth Street between Plum and Vine Streets, which includes forty-four buildings that contribute to the district's historic nature.Few Cincinnati streets retain such a cohesive collection of nineteenth-century architecture as do these three blocks of Ninth Street. Although the buildings were erected over a span of more than a century, they are remarkably similar in their construction: examples of the Queen Anne, Italianate, and Greek Revival styles of architecture are found in the district. Throughout the years that the district was constructed, Cincinnati was a city of pedestrians, and the diversity of the district's buildings highlight this status: within the district's boundaries can be found shops, houses, apartment buildings, and other commercial structures. Among the most important buildings in the district are the Abraham J. Friedlander House, the Brittany and Saxony Apartment Buildings, and the Phoenix Club, all of which were listed on the National Register of Historic Places between May 1979 and March 1980. Eighth months after the last of these four buildings was added to the National Register, the district itself was accorded a similar distinction.

Piatt Park (est. 1817), is the oldest park in Cincinnati, Ohio. The urban park stretches two blocks between Elm Street and Vine Street on Garfield Place/8th Street. The park is owned and maintained by the Cincinnati Park Board.
