Metro-2 (Russian: Метро-2) is the informal name for a purported secret underground metro system which parallels the public Moscow Metro (known as Metro-1 when in comparison with Metro-2). The system was supposedly built, or at least started, during the time of Joseph Stalin and was codenamed D-6 (Д-6) by the KGB. It is supposedly still operated by the Main Directorate of Special Programmes and Ministry of Defence.Metro-2 is said to have four lines which lie 50–200 metres (160–660 ft) deep. It is said to connect the Kremlin with the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters, the government airport at Vnukovo-2, and an underground town at Ramenki, in addition to other locations of national importance. In 1994, the leader of an urban exploration group, the Diggers of the Underground Planet, claimed to have found an entrance to this underground system.Historic evidence however paints a much more conservative picture, with one "line" existing by the late 1960s, from the Kremlin, specifically site 103, to the site 54 south from Moscow State University, with a spur going north-west from there, to the area of the Matveevskaya railway platform and the DV-1 there. Additional lines, i.e. to Vnukovo, are likely a later invention by the enthusiast community, though with the change in generations of the hardened protective structure design in the 1970/80s a redundant back up of this system may have been at least considered.

Prospekt Vernadskogo (Russian: Проспе́кт Верна́дского, English: Vernadsky Avenue) is a Moscow Metro station in the Prospekt Vernadskogo District, Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow. It is on the Sokolnicheskaya line, between Yugo-Zapadnaya and Universitet stations. Built in 1963, it conforms to the standard pillar-trispan design which was used for virtually all Metro stations in the 1960s. The station has pillars faced in yellowish Ural marble and walls tiled with stripes of yellow and blue. The vestibule on the north-east end of the platform contains a bust of the station's namesake, Vladimir Vernadsky. The architects were Ivan Taranov and Nadezhda Bykova. Passengers can transfer to Prospekt Vernadskogo on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line.

Novatorskaya (Russian: Новаторская) is a Moscow Metro station. It is currently the northern terminus of Troitskaya line. It was opened on 7 September 2024 as part of the inaugural segment of the line, between Novatorskaya and Tyutchevskaya. There is a transfer to the eponymous station of Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. The adjacent station is Universitet Druzhby Narodov. The station is located at the intersection of Leninsky Avenue and Novatorov Street, hence the name of the station.

Prospekt Vernadskogo (Russian: Проспект Вернадского) is a station on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya. Passengers can transfer to Prospekt Vernadskogo.

Novatorskaya (Russian: Новаторская) is a metro station on Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro, between Prospekt Vernadskogo and Vorontsovskaya. The name of the station derives from Novatorov Street as it is located at the interchange between Leninsky Avenue and Novatorov Street. The station was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya.In 2024, a transfer to Novatorskaya of Troitskaya line is planned to open.

The Nicholas I Second Moscow Emperor Cadet Corps (Russian: Московский 2-й кадетский корпус) is a military educational institution in Russia. It was opened in December 1849 for 400 students from the poorest nobility. It consisted of four companies and was located together with the First Moscow Cadet Corps in the Golovinsky Palace, in its other half. It was revived in 1999 as a state educational institution, cadet boarding school No. 69 "Second Moscow Cadet Corps" (EMERCOM). One of the seven cadet corps in pre-revolutionary Russia (along with Emperor Alexander II, 2nd Emperor Peter the Great, 1st Moscow Empress Catherine II, 3rd Moscow Emperor Alexander II, Omsk (Siberian) Emperor Alexander I and Don Emperor Alexander III), which were granted the honorary patronage of the late Russian emperors.

Lomonosovsky District, Moscow (Russian: Ломоно́совский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of South-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 3.34 square kilometers (1.29 sq mi). Population: 85,000 (2017 est.). Population - 81,851. Established at 1995. Named after Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov.

It occupies the fourth and fifth floors of its building, which is also used by the Moscow Finnish School, the Swedish School in Moscow, and the Scuola Italiana Italo Calvino (Italian school). The campus also has a dining hall, an indoor gymnasium, a technical classroom, a playing field that doubles as a skating rink in the winter, and outdoor athletic fields.

The language of instruction is Swedish and students are of ages 2 through 16.Malin Norman, writing for Scan Magazine, described it as "a bit of an oasis for Swedes and other Scandinavians."

Obruchevsky District (Russian: О́бручевский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twelve in South-Western Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 78,619.

The Moscow Finnish School (MFS, Finnish: Moskovan suomalainen peruskoulu, MSP) is a Finnish-education private school in Lomonosovsky District, South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia, operated by the Finnish School Association. The school uses Finnish as its language of instruction and has lower and higher educational stages.It moved to its current campus in 2003. It occupies 660 square metres (7,100 sq ft) of space on the third floor of its building, using it as classroom space. It shares the campus with the Moscow Japanese School, the Swedish School in Moscow, and the Scuola Italiana Italo Calvino (Italian school). The campus also has a dining hall, an indoor gymnasium, a technical classroom, a playing field that doubles as a skating rink in the winter, and outdoor athletic fields.Most of the children have parents who work for the Embassy of Finland in Moscow and for Finnish companies. As of the 2007/2008 school year, there were 36 students in classes zero through nine.
