The Ak-Sar-Ben Race Track and Coliseum was an indoor arena and horse racing complex in the central United States, located in Omaha, Nebraska. Built to fund the civic and philanthropic activities of the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben, the thoroughbred race track was built in 1919, and the Coliseum in 1929. The racetrack closed in 1995 and the arena in 2002; the facility was demolished in 2005, and is currently being redeveloped for a variety of uses, including dormitory housing for the University of Nebraska Omaha and the Aksarben Village development. Ak-Sar-Ben is "Nebraska" spelled backwards. The Knights originally said they were turning Nebraska around, thus "Ak-Sar-Ben."

College of Saint Mary is a private Catholic women's university in Omaha, Nebraska. Enrollment totaled 1,018 students in fall of 2014: 735 undergraduates, 243 graduate, and 40 non-degree seeking students. It offers more than 30 undergraduate and seven graduate degree programs.

The Maha Music Festival is an independent music festival held in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The festival is owned and operated by YFC, Inc., a non-profit organization.

Aksarben Village is a mixed-use development in the central United States, located in Omaha, Nebraska. Measuring over one million square feet (93,000 m2), it is on the land of the former Ak-Sar-Ben coliseum and horse track. There is over 750,000 sq ft (70,000 m2) of space for research and business office and 250,000 sq ft (23,000 m2) of retail and entertainment space. There are over five hundred housing units and a 135-room hotel. There is also a 4.5-acre (1.8 ha) park that features a 90-foot (27 m) obelisk.

Baxter Arena (previously known under the working name UNO Community Arena) is the sports arena owned and operated by the University of Nebraska Omaha located in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed in 2015, Baxter Arena serves as the home of several of the university's sports teams, known as the Omaha Mavericks. The arena opened to the public on October 23, 2015 when the Mavericks men's ice hockey team hosted Air Force, winning 4–2.

The Platte Institute for Economic Research is a free market advocacy group and think tank headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The group is conservative.

The Elmwood Park neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska is a historically significant area that was developed in the late 19th and early 20th century. It extends from Leavenworth Street on the north to Center Street on the south; from South 50th Street on the east to South 72nd Street on the west. Home to ethnic Swede celebrations through the 1950s, today the neighborhood's park hosts the city's "Shakespeare on the Green" festival.

The Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library is a library on the campus of the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). The library serves as the primary source of academic research information for the UNO community through its collections, services, innovative use of emerging technologies, exhibit and event programming, study spaces and other physical and virtual spaces/facilities.

Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Nebraska Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. It has served as home to several of the school's sports teams, currently known as Omaha Mavericks; among them are men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, and wrestling. It is also a practice facility for the Mavericks women's track and field program, although that team does not compete there. As of the 2015–16 school year, the only one of these teams that still plays there is the volleyball team, and it only serves as a part-time home. The first team to abandon Sapp Fieldhouse was the wrestling team, which was disbanded in 2011 as a prelude to the school's transition from NCAA Division II to Division I. The next team to leave was men's basketball, which moved off campus to Ralston Arena when it opened in 2012. The women's basketball team remained in the Fieldhouse through the 2014–15 season. With the opening of the on-campus Baxter Arena for the 2015–16 school year, both basketball teams will play there full-time, and the volleyball team will split its home schedule between the Fieldhouse and the new arena.

Al F. Caniglia Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. Beginning on October 26, 2013, it became home of the Omaha Mavericks men's and women's soccer teams. Caniglia Field seats 3,097 fans and features 1,390 chairback seats and VIP boxes. The field features a 21-foot by 42-foot LED video board and scoreboard. The Omaha soccer pitch, installed by Hellas Construction, is the only NCAA Division I field to receive the prestigious FIFA Recommended 2-Star certification. The state-of-the-art soccer-specific turf features a lower grain that allows the ball to move faster and an infill of ground coconut husks and cork to keep the on-field temperature lower.

Tal Anderson Field is a baseball park located in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. It is the home field of the Omaha Mavericks of the NCAA Division I Summit League. Opened in 2021, the park is located in Omaha's Midtown Omaha neighborhood. It is named for former Omaha baseball standout, Tal Anderson. The venue has a capacity of 1,500 people for baseball.
