Ship Street Little

St. Werburgh's Church is a Church of Ireland church building in Dublin, Ireland. The original church on this site was built in 1178, shortly after the arrival of the Anglo-Normans in the town. It was named after St. Werburgh, abbess of Ely and patron saint of Chester. The current building was constructed in 1719. It is located in Werburgh Street, close to Dublin Castle.

The Church of St Michael le Pole (St Michael of the Pool) was an ancient pre-Norse church and ecclesiastic settlement in Dublin, Ireland which existed prior to the Norse invasion and creation of Early Scandinavian Dublin in the 9th century. It is believed the church may date from as far back as the 7th century. The church was located between present day Ship Street Little, Ship Street Great, Golden Lane, Chancery Lane and Bride Street.

The Werburgh Street Theatre, also the Saint Werbrugh Street Theatre or the New Theatre, was a seventeenth-century theatre in Dublin, Ireland. Scholars and historians of the subject generally identify it as the "first custom-built theatre in the city," "the only pre-Restoration playhouse outside London," and the first Dublin theatre.

Leo Burdocks, or Burdocks is a popular century-old Fish and chip shop and is Dublin's oldest chipper. It is based in the city and its original location in Werburgh Street, near Christ Church Cathedral, was the first. It has lasted through a revolution, a civil war, two world wars, Ireland's recession, boom, and bust. In the late 1990s they expanded to a number of other locations for a second time. Besides locals it is frequented by national and international celebrities.

The Ship Street Barracks (Irish: Dún Shráid na Loinge) is a former military barracks at the back of Dublin Castle in Dublin, Ireland.

Dublin Castle (Irish: Caisleán Bhaile Átha Cliath) is a major Irish government complex, conference centre, and tourist attraction, of significant historical importance. It is located off Dame Street in central Dublin. Until 1922 it was the seat of the British government's administration in Ireland. Most of the current construction dates from the 18th century, though a castle has stood on the site since the days of King John, the first Lord of Ireland. The Castle served as the seat of English, then later British, government of Ireland under the Lordship of Ireland (1171–1541), the Kingdom of Ireland (1541–1800), and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (1800–1922). After the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty in December 1921, the complex was ceremonially handed over to the newly formed Provisional Government led by Michael Collins. It now hosts the inauguration of each President of Ireland and various State receptions. The castle was built by the dark pool ("Dubh Linn") which gave Dublin its name. This pool lies on the lower course of the River Poddle before its confluence with the River Liffey; when the castle was built, the Liffey was much wider, and the castle was effectively defended by both rivers. The Poddle today runs under the complex.

Golden Lane (Irish: Lána an Óir) is a street on the Southside of Dublin city. It runs from Bride Street in the west to Longford Street and Stephen Street in the east. It is intersected by Ship Street, Whitefriar Street and Chancery Lane. It is one of the oldest streets in Dublin outside of the city gates and walls and dates from at least 1466. It was originally named Cross Lane, and is shown as such on John Speed's map of Dublin of 1610. This changed around the time the Goldsmith's Guild moved to Goldsmith's Hall at 22 Golden Lane in 1812 however the Golden Heart pub was also located on the street in the 18th century as well as a number of other goldsmiths. From 1709 to 1812 Goldsmith's Hall was located on nearby Werburgh Street. As of 2023, none of the original pre-20th century buildings remain on the street above ground level.

Newcomen Bank is a former Georgian bank building and private residence on the junction of Cork Hill, Lord Edward Street and Castle Street, designed by architect Thomas Ivory in 1781 with the assistance of James Hoban.The bank itself was usually referred to as Newcomen's bank, Newcomen bank or Gleadowe-Newcomen's bank. The building was constructed and named for the Newcomen family.

The Chester Beatty Library, now known as the Chester Beatty, is a museum and library in Dublin. It was established in Ireland in 1950, to house the collections of mining magnate, Sir Alfred Chester Beatty. The present museum, on the grounds of Dublin Castle, opened on 7 February 2000, the 125th anniversary of Beatty's birth and was named European Museum of the Year in 2002.The museum's collections are displayed in two galleries: "Sacred Traditions" and "Arts of the Book". Both displays exhibit manuscripts, miniature paintings, prints, drawings, rare books and some decorative arts from the Persian, Islamic, East Asian and Western Collections. The Chester Beatty is one of the premier sources for scholarship in both the Old and New Testaments and is home to one of the most significant collections of Western, Islamic and East & South East Asian artefacts. The museum also offers numerous temporary exhibitions, many of which include works of art on loan from foreign institutions and collections. The museum contains a number of priceless objects, including one of the surviving volumes of the first illustrated Life of the Prophet and the Gospel of Mani believed to be the last remaining artefact from Manichaeism.

Neale's Musick Hall, also known as Mr. Neal's New Musick Hall, Mr. Neale's Great Room, Neal's Musick Room, the Great Musick Hall, Neale's Great Musick Hall or the Fishamble Street Music Hall was a purpose-built music hall that existed on Fishamble Street in Dublin city centre. It was built using subscriptions from a charitable organisation named 'The Charitable and Musical Society', and operated from 1741 until the mid-19th century. William Neale, a local musical instrument-maker and music publisher, was the secretary/treasurer of the society during the conception and construction phase of the project. The building is most notable for the premiere of Handel's Messiah which took place within it on the afternoon of 13 April 1742.
