The Archdiocese of New York (Latin: Archidiœcesis Neo-Eboracensis) is an ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church (particularly the Roman Catholic or Latin Church) located in the State of New York. It encompasses the boroughs of Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island in New York City and the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester. The Archdiocese of New York is the second-largest diocese in the United States by population, encompassing 296 parishes that serve around 2.8 million Catholics, in addition to hundreds of Catholic schools, hospitals and charities. The archdiocese also operates the well-known St. Joseph's Seminary, commonly referred to as Dunwoodie. The Archdiocese of New York is the metropolitan see of the ecclesiastical province of New York which includes the suffragan dioceses of Albany, Brooklyn, Buffalo, Ogdensburg, Rochester, Rockville Centre and Syracuse. It publishes a bi-weekly newspaper, Catholic New York, the largest of its kind in the United States.

300 East 57th Street is an apartment building on the corner of East 57th Street and Second Avenue in the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Designed by Emery Roth and completed in November 1947, it was one of the first new luxury buildings built in Manhattan during the housing boom following the end of World War II. In 1948, only a few months after the building opened, theater producer Max Jelin was killed in a gas explosion in his apartment.The building is the last known New York address for J. D. Salinger before he moved to a life of seclusion in the New Hampshire woods. Other notable tenants have included Liza Minnelli, Howard St. John, Peter Allen, Rocky Graziano, and Kay Thompson.

Le Club was a members-only restaurant and nightclub located at 416 East 55th Street in Manhattan. French expatriate Olivier Coquelin founded Le Club in 1960.It was a playground for New York's elites, including the Vanderbilts and Kennedys. As a young man in the 1970s, Donald Trump frequented the club, particularly associating with Roy Cohn.

The 57th Street station was an express station on the demolished IRT Second Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had two levels. The lower level had three tracks and two island platforms and served trains coming from the Bronx. The upper level had two tracks and one island platform and served trains coming from Queens, from the IRT Flushing Line, and IRT Astoria Line. The next stop to the north was 65th Street for local trains going to the Bronx, and Queensboro Plaza for trains going to Queens. The next express stop was 86th Street on Bronx-bound trains. The next stop to the south was 50th Street for all local trains and 42nd Street for express trains. The station closed on June 13, 1942, although trains to the Bronx stopped serving it on June 11, 1940.

The Sovereign (or Sovereign Apartments) is a residential skyscraper in the East Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, near the border with the Upper East Side. It is located at 425 East 58th Street east of First Avenue. The skyscraper was designed by Emery Roth & Sons in the International Style architectural style. It was built in 1973, and is 450 feet (140 m) tall, with 48 flights of stairs.

The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre is a full-time professional conservatory for actors in New York City. First operational from 1915 to 1927, the school re-opened in 1928 and has been active ever since. It is the birthplace of the Meisner technique of acting, named for American actor and acting teacher Sanford Meisner.

The Modulightor Building is a commercial building in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was designed by noted architect Paul Rudolph and was built from 1989 to 1994.The fifth and sixth floor of the building were constructed from 2007 to 2015, in a project led by the original project manager using Rudolph's preliminary designs for a six-story building on the site.The four-story building was constructed for Modulightor, a company that Rudolph co-founded to sell light fixtures. It has seen commercial and residential uses, and later housed a gallery on its top floors. The gallery exhibited "Paul Rudolph: The Personal Laboratory" in 2018. The building currently holds Modulightor's fabrication center in the basement and on the first floor; the remaining spaces house the Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture and several duplexes. One of these duplexes is occupied by Ernst Wagner, the building's owner.
