Culmore (from Irish Cúil Mór, meaning 'the great corner') is a village and townland in Derry, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is at the mouth of the River Foyle. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 3,465 people. It is situated within Derry and Strabane district.

Strathfoyle (from Irish: Srath Feabhail) is a village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland It is about 5 miles (8.0 km) north east of Derry. It was newly built in different phases between the late 1950s and the early 1960s, with many new recent additions to the village, including Westlake, Butler's Wharf and Old Fort. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 1,581 people. It is within the Derry Urban Area and the Derry City Council area. The village has a small retail outlet (a pharmacy, a supermarket, a fast food take-away and a beauticians), a Roman Catholic chapel, a library, youth club and a post office. The small retail unit was constructed in 2005 following years of under-investment in the area and pressure by local community leaders to provide more facilities for its residents.

Culmore railway station served Culmore and Coolkeeragh in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station on 1 October 1853.It closed on 2 July 1973.

Coolkeeragh power station is a power station near Derry in Northern Ireland. The station produces 400 megawatts from a gas-fired combined cycle power plant, constructed on the site of the old Coolkeeragh power station. Ownership of the plant was shared between Coolkeeragh Power Ltd and ESB International (ESBI) but it is now solely owned by ESB International (ESBI), a subsidiary of ESB. Gas is supplied to the station by a pipeline that also serves many towns in Northern Ireland.

Foyle (Irish: An Feabhal, Ulster Scots: Foyle) is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the Londonderry constituency. Foyle was a single member constituency in the Parliament of Northern Ireland. It was created in 1929 as one of the five single-member constituencies replacing the former five-member Londonderry constituency. The constituency continued in existence until the Parliament was temporarily suspended in 1972, and then formally abolished in 1973. The seat was held continuously by nationalist candidates and never even contested by unionists, although labour movement candidates sometimes polled well.

Enagh Lough (from Irish Loch Eanach 'marshy lake') is a pair of lakes called East lake and Westlake, situated between Judges Road and Temple Road in Maydown, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

Thornhill College is a Roman Catholic grammar school for girls. Located in Derry, Northern Ireland, it has a student population of approximately 1500 and a staff of 100 teachers.

Muff (from Irish Magh) is a village, civil parish and townland in County Donegal, Ireland. It is near the mouth of the River Foyle (where it flows into Lough Foyle) and sits close to the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Maydown (from Irish Magh Dúin meaning "plain of the stronghold") is a small village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is near Derry and Strathfoyle and is within the Derry and Strabane district. In the 2001 Census, it had a population of 270 people.

Royal Naval Air Station Maydown (RNAS Maydown; or HMS Shrike) is a former Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm airbase located 4.3 miles (6.9 km) northeast of Derry, County Londonderry and 11.4 miles (18.3 km) west of Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
