Grapevine Creek (Texas)

KLIF (570 kHz) is a commercial AM radio radio station licensed to Dallas, Texas. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts a talk radio format to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The studios are in the Victory Park district in Dallas, just north of downtown. KLIF broadcasts at 5,000 watts by day, but decreases its power to 2,400 watts at night to protect other stations on 570 AM. Its transmitter is shared with co-owned 1310 kHz KTCK, on Ledbetter Road in Irving. It uses a directional antenna at all times, with a two-tower array. Programming is also heard on the HD Radio digital subchannel of co-owned 96.3 KSCS-HD2. KLIF is one of the two talk stations owned by Cumulus in the Dallas Metroplex. Sister station 820 kHz WBAP has mostly local hosts while much of KLIF's schedule is made up of nationally syndicated talk shows. KLIF's two local weekday programs are a news and information show co-hosted by Dave Williams and Amy Chodroff in the morning and a talk show hosted by Ernie Brown in afternoon drive time. The rest of the day, KLIF carries Glenn Beck, "Markley, Van Camp, & Robbins," Ben Shapiro, Sean Hannity, Michael J. Knowles, Jim Bohannon and "Coast to Coast AM with George Noory". Weekends include shows on money, health, gardening, home repair and cars, as well as brokered programming. Syndicated weekend hosts include Dana Loesch and Bill Cunningham. Most hours begin with Fox News Radio.

KTCK (1310 AM; "SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket") is a commercial sports radio station licensed to Dallas, Texas, which serves the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW). Its daytime power is 25,000 watts, which is reduced to 5,000 watts at night. The station's studios are located in the Victory Park district in Dallas, just north of downtown, and the transmitter site is in Coppell. The station is currently owned by Cumulus Media. KTCK's programs are simulcast at 96.7 MHz over KTCK-FM, licensed to Flower Mound, Texas. KTCK's current call letters and format only date back to 1994. However it is one of the oldest radio stations, including the oldest in Texas, having received its first broadcasting license, as WRR, in March 1922. In addition, prior to its first broadcasting license, WRR was issued an initial transmitting authorization in the summer of 1921, and the station evolved from even earlier work conducted by the Dallas Police Department.

Valley Ranch is a master-planned development in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Irving. The name comes from the fact that the land it sits upon was formerly a working cattle ranch and is located below a large ridge, and thus resembles a valley.

Denton Creek is a creek in Texas, beginning in Wise County, and flowing south-east into Denton County. It was dammed by the Army Corps of Engineers to make Lake Grapevine. The Army Corps of Engineers are in charge of the height but still flooded many areas in early 2016. After flowing out of the lake, it flows into the Trinity River. The creek and lake are popular for fishing, boating, and recreation due to its location within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The creek has many forks along its path. The creek flows into the lake in the area known as Trophy Club Park (formerly Marshall Creek Park) in Trophy Club.

Ranchview High School is a public high school located in Irving, Texas, (USA). The school opened in 2002 as part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (CFBISD). Ranchview serves students in Irving (including portions of Las Colinas and Valley Ranch), Coppell, and Farmers Branch. Prior to Ranchview's opening, all students living west of Interstate 35E attended R.L. Turner High School. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 4-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in ELA/Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Post-Secondary Readiness.

North Lake is a reservoir located in Dallas, Texas, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Coppell. The Cypress Waters business and residential development is on its southern side.

Downtown Carrollton station is a DART Light Rail station in Carrollton, Texas. It serves the DART Green Line. This station will serve as an inaugural stop on the Silver Line.

Trinity Mills station is a train station in Carrollton, Texas. It serves DART Light Rail's Green Line as well as Denton County's A-train commuter rail line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010, replacing the nearby North Carrollton Transit Center. (The latter is fully closed including the station house.) A-Train service began June 20, 2011.

Trinity Mills was a small community originally settled in 1853 on land that is today part of the city of Carrollton in northwest Dallas County, Texas (USA). The community was on A. W. Perry's land grant and was named for a gristmill owned by him and Wade H. Witt. The actual gristmill was powered by oxen on a treadwheel and housed in a late-1840s two-story rock structure built on Farmers Creek, 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Carrollton. In 1858, a post office was established in the area which was subsequently shut-down and reopened four times before it finally closed permanently in 1915.In 1878 the Dallas-Wichita Railroad was built through Trinity Mills and the community began to emerge as a cattle-shipping center. By 1881, Trinity Mills had a physician, 26 farmers, a druggist, and a general store. In 1884, the population of Trinity Mills had grown to 150 along with a school, 2 churches, and a Western Union telegraph office.By 1890 the population had dwindled to fifty, and by 1915 only two stores remained in the community. By 1930 the population had dropped to 35. Eventually, the town was annexed into Carrollton and today is fully developed as part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.The City of Carrollton has plans to focus new development into the area near the new DART Green Line Station, detailed in their Master Plan. The City of Carrollton and DART own over 25 acres of land at the station and plan to develop the property into the new Trinity Mills. Much of this land was gained through eminent domain proceedings, in a court of record.

New Tech High @ Coppell (NTH@C) is a secondary high school located in Coppell, Texas, United States, a suburb of Dallas. It is the second high school in the Coppell Independent School District. It is part of the New Tech Network which nationwide has 86 "New Tech" schools. The school had its first senior class in 2011 and has a current enrollment of 382 students with 33 staff members. The school is also toured often by school districts and politicians interested in New Tech. It also has the shortest elapsed time in between when it starts and ends.

The Cypress Waters station is a future train station along the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line. The station will be located at 445 E Belt Line Road in Dallas, Texas. The station will serve the newly planned Cypress Waters community to the south. The station was previously expected to open in 2024, but has been delayed with the Silver Line until late 2025 to mid-2026.
