The Church of Santa Maria (Turkish: Meryem Ana Doğuş Kilisesi or Santa Maria İtalyan Latin Katolik Kilisesi), (Italian: Convento della Natività della Beata Vergine Maria di Büyükdere) is a Catholic church in Istanbul, Turkey.

The 2024 Istanbul church shooting was an attack by the Islamic State on the Church of Santa Maria, a Roman Catholic church located in Sarıyer, Istanbul, Turkey, on 28 January 2024.

Agia Paraskevi Church (Greek: Εκκλησία της Αγίας Παρασκευής), (Turkish: Büyükdere Aya Paraşkevi Rum Ortodoks Kilisesi) is a Greek Orthodox church in Büyükdere, Sarıyer in northern Istanbul, Turkey.

Büyükdere is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Sarıyer, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 8,586 (2022). It is situated on the European shore of the Bosphorus strait about 2 km (1.2 mi) southwest of Sarıyer. Its name means 'big stream' in Turkish, in reference to the river that used to flow into the Bosphorus here. A 14-kilometre-long (8.7 mi) major road, Büyükdere Avenue, starts south of Büyükdere, and runs inland as far as Şişli. In the 19th century Büyükdere, like neighbouring Tarabya, was a popular summer retreat for members of Istanbul's foreign and diplomatic community and it still has several churches and embassy buildings dating back to that period. There was then a Büyükdere ferry terminal but although it has been restored it has not been put back into use (partly because of the road that was built in front of it on reclaimed land), meaning that most access to the neighbourhood is by bus along the coast road.

Surp Bogos Church (Haitian Creole: Սուրբ Պօղոս Եկեղեցի), (Turkish: Surp Boğos Kilisesi) is an Armenian Catholic church in Büyükdere, Sarıyer, northern Istanbul, Turkey. It was established as a wooden church in 1847, rebuilt in masonry in 1882, and consecrated in 1885.

The Sadberk Hanım Museum (Turkish: Sadberk Hanım Müzesi) is a private museum on the shores of the Bosphorus in the Büyükdere neighbourhood of Sarıyer district in Istanbul, Turkey. It was established by the Vehbi Koç Foundation in memory of Vehbi Koç’s deceased wife Sadberk. The museum is open every day except Wednesdays. It is intended that the museum will move to new premises in one of the abandoned warehouses on the shores of the Golden Horn as part of the Tersane Istanbul/Haliçport project.

Çayırbaşı Stadium (Turkish: Sarıyer Belediyesi Çayırbaşı Stadı) is a football stadium at Çayırbaşı neighborhood of Sarıyer district in Istanbul Province, Turkey owned and run by the Municipality of Sarıyer. Built in 2002, it has a seating capacity for 5,000 spectators. The ground is artificial turf.The stadium is currently used for football matches only, and it is the home ground of Kireçburnu Spor women's football team.

Kireçburnu Spor Women's Football (Turkish: Kireçburnu Spor Kulübü Bayan Futbol Takımı) is a women's football team based in Kireçburnu, Sarıyer, Istanbul playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League. It was formed in 2010 as part of the 1951-established Football Club. Kireçburnu Spor is the only women's team among the 30 football clubs around in Sarıyer district. Club's current chairman is Yaşar Kalander.The team finished the 2014–15 season in the Turkish Women's Second Football League as runners-up and was promoted to the Women's First League to play in the 2015–16 season.

Yusuf Ziya Öniş Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is the home ground of TFF Second League team Sarıyer S.K. It was announced as the location for the Istanbul Rams, a team in the European League of Football, but was later changed to the Maltepe Hasan Polat Stadium. The stadium was built in 2009 and currently holds 4,100 people.

Sarıyer (pronounced [saˈɾɯjeɾ]) is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 177 km2, and its population is 350,454 (2022). It is on the northeastern part of Istanbul's European side. Sarıyer also administers the Black Sea coast to the west of the mouth of the Bosphorus, including the neighbourhood of Kilyos. It borders Eyüpsultan to the northwest, Beşiktaş to the south and Kağıthane to the west. The mayor is Şükrü Genç of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
