Dovetail was a restaurant in New York City. John Fraser was the chef and owner, until he sold the business to partners in 2018. Established in 2007, the restaurant served American cuisine and had received a Michelin star.

The Anderson School PS 334 is a New York City school for children in grades kindergarten through 8 from the city's five boroughs. It was founded thirty-four years ago (September 1987) as The Anderson Program under the stewardship of PS 9. The New York City Department of Education (DOE) spun off Anderson in July 2005 as a stand-alone school — PS 334.

44 West 77th Street (also known as the Studio Building or Studio Apartments) is a 14-story housing cooperative on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, New York, US. It was designed by Harde & Short in the Neo-Gothic style and was completed in 1909. The apartment building has a brick facade and limestone trim, with elaborate arched doorway. The facade has three protruding bays of large, north-facing windows, intended in part to illuminate artists' studios inside. The ground-floor lobby has a vaulted ceiling. The upper stories have a mixture of large apartments for general use and smaller artists' apartments with 1+1⁄2-story studio rooms. The building's developer, the artist Walter Russell, had previously built similar structures in the West 67th Street Artists' Colony. Russell acquired the site in 1907 and completed it two years later, selling it to a group that converted it to a cooperative. The facade needed repairs by 1911, and the terracotta decorations were largely dismantled in the 1940s. The building was again converted to cooperative use in 1970, and the facade was restored in the 1990s. The Studio Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission's Central Park West-76th Street Historic District.

Lucia and Leo Krim, aged 6 and 2 respectively, were murdered in the late afternoon of October 25, 2012, at the La Rochelle apartment building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. The children's part-time caretaker, Yoselyn Ortega, was convicted of stabbing the children to death with kitchen knives while their mother Marina Krim and three-year-old sister Nessie were a few blocks away at a swimming lesson. Upon returning home, their mother and sister found Lucia and Leo dead in a bathtub at the family apartment. Ortega then began stabbing herself repeatedly in the neck and throat. She survived the self-inflicted wounds. On February 22, 2018, twelve jurors were chosen for Ortega's trial, and opening statements began March 1 in Manhattan Supreme Court. On April 18, 2018, Ortega was found guilty of first-degree murder and second-degree murder. Ortega was sentenced on May 14, 2018, to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Wright-Humason School for the Deaf in New York City was a specialist school attended by Helen Keller from 1894 to 1896.

The Nobel Monument is an obelisk in honor of U.S. Nobel laureates, located just northwest of the American Museum of Natural History in Theodore Roosevelt Park in Manhattan (New York City), with the names of U.S. laureates of the Nobel Prize engraved on its western, southern, and eastern sides, and the name and image of Alfred Nobel on the north side. It is the only monument in a New York City park which bears the names of living people.The west side of the monument lists Nobel laureates up to 1979, the south side continues the list through 2010, and the east side lists the laureates starting in 2011 (as can be seen in the photos in the gallery of images below, although the website of the New York City Department of Parks incorrectly states that the south side lists the names from 1980 to the present). The monument lists only those laureates who were U.S. citizens when they won the Nobel, so it includes naturalized immigrants such as Isaac Bashevis Singer and Roald Hoffman but has neither U.S. native T. S. Eliot, who was a naturalized British subject, nor Albert Einstein, who only became a U.S. citizen years after winning. In addition to individuals it also names the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), a Quaker organization based in the US, which won the Nobel Peace Prize (the only Nobel that groups as well as individuals can win) in 1947; the AFSC's name can be seen in the photograph below of the west side of the monument.

The West 76th Street Historic District is a historic district on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, New York, US. It includes a series of rowhouses on 76th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, which were listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1980. The NRHP district overlaps with the Central Park West–76th Street Historic District, designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1973. The houses date from between 1887 and 1900. The buildings were designed in a variety of revivalist architectural styles, including the Romanesque, Renaissance, and Gothic revival styles. All of the houses are subject to various covenants, which restricted their height. The LPC district includes four additional buildings (44 West 77th Street, The Kenilworth, Church of the Divine Paternity, and New York Historical) which are not in the NRHP district, but are covered by other NRHP designations.

The American Museum of Natural History (abbreviated as AMNH) is a private 501(c)(3) natural history museum on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. In Theodore Roosevelt Park, across the street from Central Park, the museum complex comprises 26 interconnected buildings housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, in addition to a planetarium and a library. The museum collections contain over 34 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, human remains, and human cultural artifacts, as well as specialized collections for frozen tissue and genomic and astrophysical data, of which only a small fraction can be displayed at any given time. The museum occupies more than 2 million square feet (190,000 m2). AMNH has a full-time scientific staff of 225, sponsors over 120 special field expeditions each year, and averages about five million visits annually.The mission statement of the American Museum of Natural History is: "To discover, interpret, and disseminate—through scientific research and education—knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe."

The Chitte Building is an apartment building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. Located at 349 Amsterdam Avenue between West 76th and 77th Streets, this five floor walk-up has twelve apartments and ground floor commercial space once occupied by the sports bar Time Out. In the early 1980s, the playwright and actor, Anna Deavere Smith was a tenant in the building. The building was built in 1873-1874 by Brescoll & Palestine Construction Co.

The Allison and Roberto Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals are a series of exhibition halls at the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, New York City. The halls opened on June 12, 2021, as a complete redesign of their predecessors, the Harry Frank Guggenheim Hall of Gems and Minerals and Morgan Memorial Hall of Gems. The halls feature thousands of rare gems, mineral specimens and pieces of jewelry.

The John Burroughs Association was founded in 1921 to commemorate the life and works of author/naturalist John Burroughs (1837-1921). Administered out of offices at the American Museum of Natural History, the Association owns the John Burroughs Sanctuary at West Park, in the town of Esopus, New York. The Sanctuary is the site of John Burroughs's cabin, Slabsides, a National Historic Landmark built 1895. In addition to maintaining the Sanctuary, the John Burroughs Association publishes a newsletter, The Wake Robin. It also, on an annual basis, presents the John Burroughs Medal for distinguished nature writing at book-length, and another award for essay-length nature writing.

Manhattan General Hospital is a defunct hospital that also used the name Manhattan Hospital and relocated more than once, using buildings that serially served more than one hospital, beginning in the 1920s.
