Justice is a 1994 sculpture by Diana K. Moore. The large blindfolded head of the Greek titaness Themis is currently located in the courtyard in front of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal Courthouse at the Government Center in Newark, New Jersey. The artwork was commissioned through the General Services Administration's Art in Architecture program in 1991. Justice is 11 ft (3.4 m) tall, 8.8 ft (2.7 m) wide, 9 ft (2.7 m) long, and made of cast concrete. Moore drew inspiration from the traditions of "Khmer pieces from Cambodia, Etruscan, early Greek, and Egyptian figures", the colossal head of Constantine the Great, African masks, Olmec statues, and Eastern motifs such as the figure of Buddha.A poem written by Mark Strand, the 1991 Poet Laureate of the United States is carved around the sculpture's base.

The Frank R. Lautenberg Post Office and Courthouse is United States Post Office and courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey located in the Government Center area of Downtown Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. The building's cornerstone was laid in 1933 and the building was completed as a New Deal project in 1935. The building was named for U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg by an act of Congress in 2000.

Government Center is a district within the city of Newark in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. It is considered a part of Downtown Newark and is named for the presence of government buildings centered on a plaza known as Federal Square. It hosts the US Citizen and Immigration Services, the Social Security Administration, and the US Attorney's Office for New Jersey as well as many other federal agencies. It is part of the Four Corners Historic District. The district is just south of Four Corners on the east side of Broad Street and the Prudential Center and north of Newark Symphony Hall and The Coast neighborhood. In the center is Grace Episcopal Church, a national historic site, where the tune of America the Beautiful was written. To the east near Mulberry Street is the area that at one time was Newark's Chinatown, and host to restaurants serving the district and the sports center. The surrounding area includes mid-rise government buildings and at-grade parking lots.

The Grant USA Tower was a proposed 121-story skyscraper planned for Newark, New Jersey by developer Harry Grant. Harry Grant was an Iraqi-born developer who was based out of New Jersey who financed the gold dome on top of Newark City Hall The tower was to be located over the old Central Railroad of New Jersey's Newark and New York Railroad Terminal, near Broad and Lafayette Street. In 2007, the incomplete Renaissance Mall was torn down to build the Prudential Center. The old and unused part of the train station below, which was to serve as the foundation of the tower, remains in place. There are currently plans to connect the old portion of the train station with the Prudential Center, with the idea of turning it into a museum.Had it been completed as planned by 1986, it would have contained the tallest hotel, and would have been the tallest building and the tallest structure at the time.

The U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey is the chief federal law enforcement officer in New Jersey. On December 16, 2021, Philip R. Sellinger was sworn in as U.S. Attorney. The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey has jurisdiction over all cases prosecuted by the U.S. attorney.

A bronze statue of George Floyd (1973–2020), an African-American man who was murdered during his arrest in Minneapolis, was completed by Stanley Watts and unveiled in 2021. It is situated outside Newark, New Jersey's City Hall.

Grace Church in Newark (Episcopal) is an active and historic Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Newark. It is located on Newark, New Jersey's Broad Street where it has stood since 1837. Grace is a traditional church that worships in the Catholic tradition. Grace is notable for its architecture, music, and as the birthplace of the tune "America the Beautiful".

The McDonald's Gospelfest is an annual gospel music festival, talent competition, and fundraiser in Newark, New Jersey. The event, inaugurated in 1983, and sponsored by McDonald's, takes place in spring and has been held at the Prudential Center since 2008. The closing night contest and ceremony is produced, directed, and hosted by A. Curtis Farrow. The event, which can take several hours, has been recorded and broadcast variously on WABC-TV and WWOR-TV. Involving more than a thousand performers, it has been described as the "largest collection of gospel talent ever assembled" and the "most spectacular gospel celebration in the nation". The event is followed up by McDonald's Inspiration Celebration which makes a national tour.

Newark City Hall is located at Government Center in Newark in Essex County, New Jersey. The building was built in 1902 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 17, 1978.

Prudential Center is a multipurpose indoor arena in the central business district of Newark, New Jersey. Opened in 2007, it is the home of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the men's basketball program of Seton Hall University, known as the Seton Hall Pirates. The arena officially seats 16,514 patrons for hockey games and up to 18,711 for basketball. Fans and sports writers have affectionately nicknamed the arena "The Rock" in reference to the Rock of Gibraltar, the corporate logo of Prudential Financial, a financial institution that owns the naming rights to the arena and is headquartered within walking distance of it. In December 2013, the arena ranked third nationally and ninth internationally for self-reported annual revenue. In January 2023, the arena was ranked fifth globally by Pollstar for concert revenue.The arena was built amidst financial concerns and years of speculation that the Devils would relocate, despite the fact that the team was a perennial playoff contender and had been at or near the top of the NHL's standings for over a decade. The arena is located two blocks from Newark Penn Station in downtown Newark, just west of Newark's Ironbound district, which makes it easily accessible via New Jersey Transit, PATH, Newark Light Rail, and Amtrak. At the time of its opening, Prudential Center was the first major league sports venue to be built in the New York metropolitan area since Meadowlands Arena, the Devils' former home, opened in 1981. It is owned and operated by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) and was designed by Populous, with the exterior designed by Morris Adjmi Architects.

The Grammy Museum Experience is an interactive, experiential museum devoted to the history and winners of the Grammy Awards which opened at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on October 20, 2017.It is first instance of the Grammy Museum in the Northeast. Affiliated museums are the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, The Grammy Museum Mississippi, Cleveland, Mississippi and The Grammy Museum at Musicians Hall of Fame, Nashville, Tennessee. The 8,200-square-foot Grammy Museum features multimedia presentations, public events and educational programming, and highlights some of New Jersey’s most famous music industry stars and homegrown talent, from songwriters and producers to the musicians themselves. The venue will allow guests to explore Grammy Award history, experience being onstage and interact with various aspects of the recording process, including playing instruments or singing (interactively) with some of the music industry’s stars and legendary musicians.

Newark Collegiate Academy (NCA) is a four-year charter public high school located in Newark in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the TEAM Academy Charter School network of charter schools in Newark run by the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) which serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. NCA opened in August 2007 and will ultimately serve over 570 students, mostly matriculating from TEAM's middle schools, Rise and TEAM Academies. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 5,671 students and 271.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 20.9:1. There were 4,410 students (77.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 659 (11.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
