York Preparatory School commonly referred to as York Prep School, is an independent, university-preparatory school in the Upper West Side area of Manhattan, New York City, near Lincoln Square.The coeducational school provides instruction to approximately 410 students between 6th and 12th grades. The student:teacher ratio is 5:1.York Prep is approved by the New York State Board of Regents and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.For the 2022–2023 school year, tuition is US$58,000 including fees for students in every grade, tuition for students in the school's ITP program is $71,000, and tuition for students in the school's "Jump Start" program is $86,800.

William E. Macaulay Honors College, commonly referred to as Macaulay Honors College or Macaulay, is a highly selective honors college for students at the City University of New York (CUNY) system in New York City. The college awards full-tuition scholarships to all of its undergraduates (or a substantial partial scholarship to out-of-state students). For the class of 2020, there were 6,272 applicants for an enrollment of 537 students. The average high school GPA and SAT for the class of 2020 were 94.1% and 1414, respectively. Since 2016, the college has consistently received the highest rating for a public university honors college. Macaulay students have earned more than 250 prestigious awards including 37 Fulbright Fellowships, 5 Truman Scholarships and 28 National Science Foundation grants.

Studio Maestro is a ballet school in New York City founded in 1995 by Rose Caiola. A portion of its students have graduated into ballet companies including American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Washington Ballet, National Ballet of Croatia, Pennsylvania Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet de Espana. The school program is taught in eight levels, each of which has a specific set of skills that the student must master in order to advance to the next level. The school also has a four-week summer program held in August of every year. The school's facility at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center at West 60th Street, New York, opened with a ribbon-cutting evening on June 26, 2008. Faculty include Deborah Wingert, and Marina Stavitskaya. Guest faculty for the 2008–2009 year are Jared Angle (New York City Ballet), Natalia Boesch (American Ballet Theatre), Sébastien Marcovici (New York City Ballet), Janie Taylor (New York City Ballet), Daniel Ulbricht (New York City Ballet), Roman Zhurbin (American Ballet Theatre), Karin Averty (Paris Opera Ballet), and Flavio Salazar (American Ballet Theatre). In addition to the enrolled students, dancers from the School of American Ballet and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School are permitted to audit classes at Studio Maestro. The annual Spring Gala Performance for 2008 included excerpts of classics by George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, Martha Graham, Bryan Arias-Diaz, and Tom Baird.

Millennium Tower is a mixed-use building in New York City. With the address of 101 West 67th Street, the building occupies the full block bounded by Broadway, Columbus Avenue, and 67th and 68th Streets. It was erected in 1994 and is one of a trio of buildings by Millennium Partners known collectively as Lincoln Square. The building was designed by James Carpenter.Millennium Tower contains 305 luxury apartments in addition to retail space and a multi-screen cinema. The apartment section begins on the 44th floor.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in New York City was founded in 1805 as the fifth Episcopal parish in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. The stone church, on the southeast corner of Broome and Chrystie Streets, was inaugurated on Saint Stephen's Day, December 26, 1805. By 1866 the congregation had largely moved uptown, and the rector Rev. Joseph H. Price convinced the trustees to sell the old structure, which was demolished. In 1873 Saint Stephen's merged with the Church of the Advent on West 46th Street, then in 1897 the parish purchased a simple brick chapel of the Church of the Transfiguration that had been built in 1880 on West 69th Street in the newly-developing Upper West Side. The first service of Saint Stephen’s Church was held there on October 3, 1897. The unpretentious church, set in a remnant of its suburban garden, is now the oldest church structure in the Upper West Side. In 1975, the parish merged with Christ Church at Broadway and 71st Street as Christ and Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Christ Church was subsequently demolished, but the organ, originally built in 1865 by Henry Erben (1801-1883) but much restored and rebuilt, was moved to Saint Stephen's.In 2020, it reported 677 members, average attendance of 112, and $266,846 in plate and pledge income.

Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is a Reform synagogue located at 30 West 68th Street in the New York City borough of Manhattan. The congregation was the first of multiple "free synagogue" branches in the early 20th century.

Andanada was a Spanish restaurant located at 141 West 69th Street (between Broadway and Columbus) on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, New York City. Opening in 2012 under chef Manuel Berganza, it earned one Michelin star in 2014, which it maintained until its reported closure in 2017. Andanada served contemporary Spanish cuisine. Its menu featured a selection of tapas, alongside other dishes like shellfish paella and arroz con leche. The restaurant's name, Andanada, refers to the highest seating area in the bullfighting arena.In 2014, Andanada was awarded a Michelin Star in the 2015 Michelin Guide to New York City. It maintained its star rating for the 2016 and 2017 editions of the guide.

Hotel des Artistes is a historic residential building located at 1 West 67th Street in New York City near the west side of Central Park, Manhattan. Completed in 1917, the ornate 17-story, 119-unit Gothic-style building has been home to a long list of writers, artists, and politicians over the years.

The Pythian Temple is a historic Knights of Pythias building at 135 West 70th Street between Columbus Avenue and Broadway in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, in the U.S. state of New York. It was built in 1927 to serve as a meeting place for the 120 Pythian lodges of New York City, and later for many years housed a recording studio. Today it is an 88-unit luxury condominium building known as The Pythian.

The St. Nicholas Rink, also called the St. Nicholas Arena, was an indoor ice rink, and later a boxing arena in New York City from 1896 until 1962. The rink was one of the earliest indoor ice rinks made of mechanically frozen ice in North America (others included the North Avenue Ice Palace in Baltimore and the Ice Palace in New York, both opened in 1894), enabling a longer season for skating sports. It was demolished in the 1980s. As a rink, it was used for pleasure skating, and the sports of ice hockey and skating. It was an important rink in the development of both sports in the United States. As a boxing arena, it was one of the first legal venues for boxing and remained a busy venue until its closing, although as the popularity of boxing grew, the sport outgrew the capacity of the arena to hold title fights. The arena hosted live boxing on television.

Vedanta Society of New York (VSNY) was the first Vedanta Society founded by the Indian Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda in New York in November 1894. In 1897, Swami Abhedananda, another disciple of Ramakrishna, came to the United States and took charge of the society. He was the president of the society until 1921. Currently, the Vedanta Society is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Math religious monastic order and the Ramakrishna Mission.

Café des Artistes was a fine restaurant at One West 67th Street in Manhattan and was owned by George Lang. He closed the restaurant for vacation at the beginning of August 2009 and, while away, then 85-year-old Lang decided to keep it closed permanently. He announced the closure on August 28, 2009. His wife, Jenifer Lang, had been the managing director of the restaurant since 1990.
