The Trinity Chapel Complex, now better known as the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Sava (Serbian: Црква светог Саве, romanized: Crkva svetog Save) is a historic Eastern Orthodox church at 15 West 25th Street between Broadway and the Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The church building was constructed in 1850-55 and was designed by architect Richard Upjohn in English Gothic Revival style. It was built as one of several uptown chapels of the Trinity Church parish, but was sold to the Serbian Eastern Orthodox parish in 1942, re-opening as the Cathedral of St. Sava in 1944. The church complex includes the Trinity Chapel School, now the cathedral's Parish House, which was built in 1860 and was designed by Jacob Wrey Mould, a polychromatic Victorian Gothic building which is Mould's only extant structure in New York City. Attached to the sanctuary itself is the Clergy House at 26 West 26th Street, which was built in 1866 and was designed by Richard Upjohn and his son Richard M. Upjohn.The chapel was designated a New York City landmark in 1968, and the complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Most of the church was destroyed in a four-alarm fire on May 1, 2016. In June 2016 reports were circulating that the city of New York ordered that the remains of the structure be demolished, stating that the walls are too unstable to be allowed to stand. The Buildings Department quickly clarified that the inspection was not complete and they had not ordered the immediate demolition of the building and instead is working with the parish to stabilize the structure.

Touro University is a private Jewish university system headquartered in New York City, with branches throughout the United States as well as one each in Germany, Israel and Russia. It was founded by Bernard Lander in 1971 and named for Isaac and Judah Touro. Its main campus in New York City is one of the largest private Jewish universities in the US, the largest Jewish university in the US being Yeshiva University. Touro initially focused on higher education for the Jewish community, but it now serves a diverse population of over 19,000 students across 35 schools.

23rd Street is a broad thoroughfare in the New York City borough of Manhattan, one of the major two-way, east-west streets in the borough's grid. City Gallery was an art gallery in New York City that exhibited the work of contemporary artists in a loft space that was run collectively by a group of young avant-garde artists.

Albemarle Hotel (also known as Albemarle House; alternate spelling Albermarle) was located at 1101 Broadway (also addressed as 1 West 24th Street) in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City. Built in 1860 and overlooking Madison Square, it was one of the largest hotels on the avenue in its day.

The Toy Center, also known as the International Toy Center, is a complex of buildings in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City, that for many years was a hub for toy manufacturers and distributors in the United States. It consists of two buildings located between 23rd Street and 25th Street across from Madison Square, where Fifth Avenue and Broadway cross. The American International Toy Fair, the industry's major annual trade show, is held annually in February at both the Toy Center and the Javits Center on 34th Street.

The Fifth Avenue Hotel was a luxury hotel located at 200 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City from 1859 to 1908. It had an entire block of frontage between 23rd Street and 24th Street, at the southwest corner of Madison Square.

Worth Square, or General Worth Square, is a public square in Manhattan located at East 25th Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue directly west of Madison Square Park. The square is both a memorial and the burial site of William Jenkins Worth. The only other monument that doubles as a mausoleum is Grants Tomb in Harlem. The 0.27 acre square is one of the many Triangle/Plazas administered by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

The General William Jenkins Worth Monument is a granite obelisk by James G. Batterson, installed in Manhattan's Worth Square, in the U.S. state of New York.

The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is a private for-profit culinary college in New York City. ICE is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and offers career training diploma programs in the culinary arts. The school runs one of the largest program of hands-on recreational cooking classes and wine education courses in the country with more than 26,000 enthusiasts taking any of the 1,500 classes offered each year.
