Craig Kielburger Secondary School , commonly referred to as C.K is a high school in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The two-storey school features barrier-free accessibility, a triple gym, studio/theatre, food school and technical education facilities and the IB Diploma program. This school replaces E.C. Drury High School which closed in June 2012. The school is named after Craig Kielburger who founded Free the Children. Kielburger visited the school for the grand opening October 9, 2012.

CJML-FM is a radio station in Milton, Ontario broadcasting on 101.3 MHz. Owned by Local Radio Lab Inc., the station covers the immediate Milton area from its transmitter at X. The CRTC first received an application from My Broadcasting Corporation on May 27, 2015. On August 2, 2017, the station was finally able to sign on the air. It also receives co-channel interference east of Milton due to CJSA-FM in Toronto also broadcasting on the same frequency and also CKOT-FM in Tillsonburg. On April 8, 2020 the CRTC approved an application by My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) to increase the average effective radiated power (ERP) from 228 to 480 watts (maximum ERP from 950 to 2,000 watts) and by changing the orientation of its directional antenna. CJML-FM will remain at 101.3 MHz. On June 25, 2021, the CRTC approved the sale of CJML, as well as its sister stations CIMA-FM/Alliston and CKMO-FM/Orangeville, to Local Radio Lab.

Elsie MacGill Secondary School (EMSS) is a public secondary school located in Milton, Ontario, Canada. Elsie MacGill is a part of the Halton District School Board, and as of 2022 educates approximately 500 students. It was opened in 2021. It is named after Elsie MacGill, the world's first woman to earn an aeronautical engineering degree. EMSS offers a STEM program called I-STEM, also offered at Aldershot School.

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School (formerly known as Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School) is an educational Catholic high school in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The 191,000 square foot building was built by the Halton Catholic District School Board in 2013.The school was originally named after the late Jean Vanier, a Canadian Catholic philosopher turned theologian, humanitarian and the founder of L’Arche. In June 2020, however, the Halton Catholic District School Board with approval from Douglas Crosby, Bishop of Hamilton, renamed the school for St. Francis Xavier following sexual misconduct allegations surrounding Jean Vanier.The school mascot is the StFX Knight. Extra curricular student members (athletics, clubs, etc.) known as Knights.

The Trafalgar Moraine is a geological landform straddling Oakville and Milton in Ontario, Canada. A small portion of the moraine extends into Burlington at Milton's southern border. It is a subtler topological feature than the better-known Oak Ridges Moraine, primarily because it was formed as an end moraine at the terminus of a glacial ice sheet, instead of between two retreating ice lobes (known as interlobate). The ice sheet pushed material to form the ridge, which is composed of Halton Till sediment, rich in silt and clay. By contrast, the Oak Ridges Moraine is primarily sand and gravel. The ridge was probably formed during a pause in the retreat of the ice sheet. The moraine covers an area of 892.5 hectares of primarily private land, though a small portion is public.

Milton District High School (MDHS) is a public secondary school located in Milton, Ontario, Canada. MDHS is part of the Halton District School Board, and educates approximately 1800 students.Prior to Milton district high school's (second) opening in 1960, Students had attended the old Milton district high school on Martin street . When the new high school opened, grade 10 to 12 students were transferred there, and Martin Street School [1] became a high school, serving students in grade 9 only. MDHS remained the only secondary school in Milton until E.C. Drury High School opened in 1980, followed by Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School in 1986.

Sam-Son Farm is a Thoroughbred horse racing stable with farms located in Milton, Ontario, Canada and Ocala, Florida. Originating in the 60's by Ernie Samuel, it began as a home for competition hunter/jumper horses. One Sam-Son horse, Canadian Club won the 1967 Pan-American Games Individual Jumping Gold medal and was a member of the 1968 Team Gold Medal for Canada at the Mexico Olympics ridden by Jim Day. Sam-Son continued to send entries to International show jumping, dressage and three ay venting events including the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and thereafter. In 1971 it became home to its first Thoroughbred race horse and officially entered racing in 1972. Sam-Son Farm is a five-time winner of the Queen's Plate, Canada's most important horse race, and a record seven Woodbine Oaks. In 1991, the stable won the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Owner after its horses established a new world record for race earnings. Under trainers Jim Day, and then Mark Frostad who took over in 1995, Sam-Son Farm has won ten Sovereign Awards for outstanding owner and eight for outstanding breeder. Current Trainer is Malcolm Pierce. Both Ernie Samuel and Tammy Samuel-Balaz have been inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame as were Sam-Son Trainers, Day and Frostad. Nine Sam-Son horses have been inducted into the Hall of Fame including Dance Smartly, No Class, Sky Classic, Chief Bearhart, Classy ’n Smart, Smart Strike, Wilderness Song, Dancethruthedawn and most recently, Soaring Free in 2013. Some of their notable Thoroughbred racehorses include: Chief Bearhart - won the 1997 Breeders' Cup Turf and was named the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Male Turf Horse and a two-time Canadian Horse of the Year; Classy 'n Smart - Canadian Champion 3-Year-Old Filly (1984), Canadian Broodmare of the Year (1991), Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame. Dam of Dance Smartly and Smart Strike Dance Smartly - undefeated in the 1991 racing season, en route to winning the Breeders' Cup Distaff, she became the only filly to ever win the Canadian Triple Crown. She won the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Three-Year-Old Filly in North America and in 2003 was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame; Dancethruthedawn - won the 2001 Queens' Plate and the Grade 1 Go For Wand Handicap at Saratoga Race Course Regal Classic – Canadian Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Sky Classic - Canadian Champion Two-Year-Old Colt (1989), Canadian Champion Male Turf Horse, Canadian Champion Older Male Horse (1991), and the Eclipse Award in the United States for American Champion Male Turf Horse (1992) Smart Strike - multiple Graded stakes race winner, Leading sire in North America (2007, 2008), sire of Curlin and English Channel. Up With The Birds - Graded Stakes Race Grade 1 winner, 2013 Canadian Horse of the Year.Sam-Son Farm has owned nine horses who were voted Canadian Horse of the Year honours: Dauphin Fabuleux (1984), Imperial Choice (1985), Ruling Angel (1985), Dance Smartly (1991), Chief Bearhart (1997-'98), Quiet Resolve (2000) and Soaring Free (2004), Up With The Birds (2013). The business uses the Milton, Ontario farm as a broodmare installation and maintains a training facility in Ocala, Florida Sam-Son Grade 1 Stakes winner, Smart Strike went on to even greater fame as a Stallion. Standing at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky, Smart Strike was twice honoured as North America's leading Thoroughbred Sire. Smart Strike died on March 25, 2015. At that time he was already the sire of 113 stakes winners, 12 champions, four Breeders' Cup winners, and two Classic victors. Following the death of Sam-Son Farm's founder in 2000, farm operations were taken over by his daughter Tammy Samuel-Balaz and lasting until her death from cancer in 2008, at age forty-seven. Management for the business was then transferred to her husband and brother, with Rick Balaz in the role of President and Mark Samuel as CEO. Ownership of Sam-Son Farm belongs to the Samuel-Balaz Family, consisting of Rick Balaz, Mark Samuel, and Kim Samuel.

The Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf is a provincial school in Milton, Ontario, Canada with residential and day programs serving elementary and secondary deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Along with three (SJW and Robarts School for the Deaf) other provincial schools for the deaf in Ontario, it is operated by the Ministry of Education under Education Act of Ontario section 13 (1).Teachers are both deaf and hearing. Deaf student population is approximately 90 students in the senior school and 100 in the elementary school; total is 190 students. Deaf students from Canada often attend Gallaudet University in Washington D.C., and Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York for post-secondary programs.

The Ernest C. Drury High School was a school in Milton, Ontario, Canada, for students in grades 9-12. The school closed in June 2012 and became Craig Kielburger Secondary School at a new location in Milton.The same campus also houses the E. C. Drury School for the Deaf, a secondary school with residential and day programs for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students. The school also offers classes for the disabled, a day care center, several board offices, and numerous trade programs. This school was operated by the Provincial Schools branch of the Ministry of Education in Ontario. The Provincial schools will remain at their current address after June 2012 retaining the EC Drury name. The school was named after Ernest Charles Drury who was Premier of Ontario from 1919 to 1923.

Trafalgar Township was a township in Ontario, Canada. It today forms parts of Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills and Mississauga. Named after Cape Trafalgar where Horatio Nelson led the English fleet to victory over the Spanish and French at the Battle of Trafalgar, the township was created in 1806. Trafalgar was one of three townships surveyed by Samuel Street Wilmot after the purchase of land from the Mississaugas in 1805.The boundaries extended from Lake Ontario in the south to Steeles Avenue in the north, and from Winston Churchill Boulevard in the east to Burloak Drive in the west. In 1962, the township was amalgamated into Oakville. Dundas Street was the main transportation corridor through the township.Wheat was the main agricultural crop of farms in the township for most of its history with the crop taking up from one quarter to one third of the cultivated land.
