Rørvig is a small town with a population of 993 (1 January 2025) in the northern part of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark.

The Battle of Isefjord was a clash that occurred when the coastal defence ship HDMS Niels Juel was attacked by German forces as she tried to escape to neutral Sweden.

Hundested is a town with a population of 8,538 (1 January 2024) and a former municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Hovedstaden in the northern part of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The former municipality is surrounded by water on three side: to the north is the Kattegat, to the west is the channel leading into the Isefjord, and to the south is Roskilde Fjord and the channel leading into it from the Isefjord. The area is characterized by sand and dunes, especially on its northern side facing the Kattegat, but also found in the central areas and in the south. Kikhavn on the northern side of the peninsula, not far to the east of the town of Hundested, is the oldest fishing village in the area.

Nykøbing Sjælland railway station (Danish: Nykøbing Sjælland Station or Nykøbing Sjælland Banegård) is the main railway station serving the town of Nykøbing Sjælland on the Odsherred peninsula in northwestern Zealand, Denmark. The station is situated in the centre of the town on the southeastern edge of the historic town centre, and lies immediately adjacent to Nykøbing Sjælland's bus station. Nykøbing Sjælland station is the northern terminus of the Odsherredsbanen branch line from Holbæk to Nykøbing Sjælland. The station opened in 1899 with the opening of the Odsherredsbanen railway line. Its station building was built to designs by the Danish architect Heinrich Wenck. It offers frequent local train services to Holbæk operated by the regional railway company Lokaltog with onward connections from Holbæk to the rest of the Danish rail network.

Nykøbing, often referred to as Nykøbing Sjælland or Nykøbing Sj to distinguish it from Nykøbing F and Nykøbing M, is a seaside town in Denmark, located in Odsherred on the northwestern part of Zealand. Located on the Isefjord, it has a population of 5,016 (1 January 2025). It is located in Odsherred municipality which is part of Region Sjælland. The town is a popular seaside resort.

Until 1 January 2007 Nykøbing-Rørvig municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former West Zealand County on the northwest coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark, at the mouth of the Isefjord. The municipality covered an area of 40 km², and had a total population of 7,610 (2005). Its last mayor was Vagn Ytte Larsen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Nykøbing Sjælland. To the northwest of the former municipality is Nyrup Bay (Nyrup Bugt) and Hesselø Bay (Hesselø Bugt), to the east is the Isefjord, and to the southeast is Nykøbing Bay (Nykøbing Bugt). Nykøbing-Rørvig municipality ceased to exist, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with existing Dragsholm and Trundholm municipalities to form the new Odsherred municipality. This create a municipality with an area of 355 km² and a total population of 32,739 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").

Odsherred Municipality (Danish: Odsherred Kommune) is a kommune in Odsherred, Region Sjælland in Denmark. It covers an area of 355 km2 with a total population of 32,225 (2025). Its seat is the town of Højby.

Ise Fjord (Danish: Isefjorden) is a deeply branched arm of the sea into the Danish island Zealand. From its relatively narrow entrance from the Kattegat at Hundested and Rørvig, branches of Ise Fjord stretch 35 km inland and divide the northern part of Zealand into the peninsulas of Odsherred, Hornsherred, and Nordsjælland. Some branches have names of their own, such as Roskilde Fjord which joins Ise Fjord proper close to its northern end, Lejre Vig in Lejre Municipality just west of Roskilde harbor, Holbæk Fjord, and the now drained Lammefjord and Sidinge Fjord at the west. The depth of the water in the fjord averages 5 to 7 meters, the deepest areas being those on the western side of Orø. Salinity is from 1.6 to 2.2%.

Annebjerggaard, also known as Anneberg, is a former manor house situated on the southern outskirts of Nykøbing Sjælland, Odsherred Municipality, some 90 km (56 mi) northwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now operated as a cultural centre. The building is currently home to the administration of Odsherred Museum.

Grønnessegaard is a manor house and estate located just east of Hundested in Halsnæs Municipality, Denmark, some 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Copenhagen. The estate was established by Johan Frederik Classen in 1776. The two-storey main building is from 1859.

Kulhuse is a town in the Frederikssund Municipality in North Zealand, Denmark. As of 2023, it has a population of 870. It is a popular vacation destination, especially in the summer.

Torup Parish (Danish: Torup Sogn) is a parish in the Diocese of Helsingør in Halsnæs Municipality, Denmark. The parish contains the town of Hundested and the village of Torup.
