The Copenhagen University Library (Danish: Københavns Universitetsbibliotek) in Copenhagen, Denmark, is the main research library of the University of Copenhagen. Founded in 1482, it is the oldest library in Denmark. The old main building of the library is located in Fiolstræde in central Copenhagen. There is no public access to this library building. It was designed by Johan Daniel Herholdt and completed in 1861. A second library, known as the Copenhagen University Library North (55.6971°N 12.5608°E / 55.6971; 12.5608 (Copenhagen University Library North)), is located in Nørre Allé and is the library for natural sciences and medicine. Since 1989, the Copenhagen University Library has been part of the Royal Library of Denmark but it is administrated through the KUBIS system.

Krystalgade (literally "Crystal Street") is a street in central Copenhagen, Denmark, connecting Nørregade to Købmagergade. Copenhagen Central Library and the Great Synagogue of Copenhagen are located in the street.

The Great Synagogue is an Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at Krystalgade 12, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The congregation was formed at some stage during the 17th century and their first synagogue completed in 1766. The current synagogue was completed in 1833 and is defined by its unique architecture around the Ark. During the first half of the 19th century, synagogues continued to be built in the classical tradition, but there began to be a revival of Greek and Roman architecture. The Great Synagogue in Copenhagen is one of a few synagogues of its period to use Egyptian elements in the columns, ceiling and cornice over the ark.

Fiolstræde 20 is a Neoclassical building situated at the corner of Fiolstræde and Krystalgade in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed by Niels Schønberg Kurtzhals for grocer Jens Christopher Friborg in 1810–11, it is now part of a larger complex of buildings comprising Fiolstræde 20–24 and Krystalgade 14–16. Fiolstræde 20 and Krystalgade 16 were jointly listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1951. The current owner of the complex is Lægernes Pension, a pension fund for medical doctors in Denmark.

Stiftprovsteboligen, situated at the corner of Fiolstræde (No. 8) and Store Kannikestræde, opposite the Church of Our Lady, is the official residence of the provost (domprovst) of the Provostry of Our Lady–Vesterbro. The domprovst (formerly stiftsprovst) of the Provostry of Our Lady–Vesterbro is the most senior of the provosts of the Diocese of Copenhagen. The administrative office of the provostry is in the basement of the building. The Neoclassical building from 1840–41 was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1939. A plaque on the garden wall towards Fiolstræde commemorates that Ludvig Holberg resided in an earlier building on the site from June 1740 until his death in January 1754.

Fiolstræde 7 is a Neoclassical mixed-use building situated next to Hotel Sankt Petri on the west side of the pedestrianized shopping street Fiolstræde in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1951. Notable former residents include theologian Christian Thorning Engelstoft (1805-1889), educator Conrad Krebs and artist Edvard Lehmann (1815-1892).

Fiolstræde is a pedestrianised shopping street in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It passes the square Frue Plads on its way from Nørreport station in the north to Skindergade in the south where Jorcks Passage connects it to the shopping street Strøget. Copenhagen Cathedral is located on the street which also passes the rear side of Copenhagen University Library.

Krystalgade 9 is a Neoclassical property in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1986.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research was established at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied discovery research on human proteins of medical relevance. The establishment of the center (announced in April 2007) has been made possible by a donation of 600 million DKK (~113 MUSD) from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and through significant contributions from the University of Copenhagen for the renovation of the Center laboratories.The Center comprises a wide range of expertise and skills within research areas of disease systems biology, proteomics, high throughput protein production and characterisation, chemical biology, disease biology, and protein therapeutics. The Center also contributes to the progress of translational research within medicine and provide fundamental insights which can be used to promote drug discovery and development.

Store Kannikestræde is a street in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark, connecting Frue Plads to Købmagergade. Its history is closely associated with the University of Copenhagen and some of Copenhagen's oldest halls of residence are located in the street. It has been pedestrianized since 1973. Lille Kannikestræde is a short side street which extends from the south side of Store Kannikestræde, connecting it to Skindergade.

Borchs Kollegium, originally known as Collegium Mediceum, is a university dormitory situated on Store Kannikestræde in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is one of the oldest dormitories of the University of Copenhagen. It was founded in 1691 but its current building, its third, is from 1825.
