Tibirke Church

Tibirke is a locality in Gribskov Municipality located between Tisvilde and Tisvildeleje to the north, Tisvilde Hegn to the west and Arresø to the south, approximately 60 kilometres north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It includes the protected area Tibirke Bakker (hills), Tibirke Lunde (grove), Tibirke Sand (sand) and the village Tibirke.

N.P. Wieth-Knudsen Observatory is next to Tisvilde Hegn, two hours away from Copenhagen, Denmark, at Margot Nyholms vej 19, 3220 Tisvildeleje, on the outskirts of a small residential area in Tisvilde, away from artificial light generated by larger cities. It was constructed in 1959 by Dr. Niels Palle Wieth-Knudsen (1909–1993), who used the observatory until his death. His biggest contribution to astronomy was the observation of lunar occultations, during which the moon passes in front of stars, the data from which is then used in the accurate determination of the lunar position. This became important during the 1969 Apollo Moon landings.In 1999, Wieth-Knudsen's widow, Inger Wieth-Knudsen (1914–2004), presented the building as a gift to the Danish Astronomical Society. The observatory holds a 16-inch computer-controlled telescope. On the observatory grounds there are two radio telescopes and a series of platforms for smaller telescopes, including a solar telescope. The public is welcome to free star-gazing events held on the second and the last Saturdays of every month. Members of the Danish Astronomical Society use the observatory for their own observations on other nights.

Tisvilde is a small town with a population of 1,412 (1 January 2023) located on the north coast of the island Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark 60 km (37 mi) in Gribskov Municipality, northeast of Hillerød. Tisvildeleje is the coastal part of Tisvilde. "Leje" roughly translates as "plain" and used to be a fishermen's village. Now all of the fishermen's houses are used as "quintessential" summer residences. The southeast of Tisvilde is referred to as Tibirke. Tisvilde, alongside Hornbæk further to the east, has the highest prices of summer houses in Denmark. A 175 sqn summer house was sold for DKK22 mio. in 2017.

Godhavn railway halt (Danish: Godhavn Trinbræt) is a railway halt serving the seaside resort of Tisvilde on the north coast of the island of Zealand, Denmark. The railway halt is located on the Tisvildeleje branch of the Gribskov railway line from Hillerød to Tisvildeleje. It opened in 1924 with the opening of the Helsinge–Tisvildeleje section of the Gribskov line. The train services are currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services between Hillerød and Tisvildeleje.

Villa Vendle is a country house in Tisvildeleje, Gribskov Municipality, some 50 kilometres northwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. Built for a retired eye surgeon in 1912 from a design by the architect Bent Helweg-Møller, the house is a typical and well-preserved example of the large summer residences which were built in the area for members of the upper middle-class in the 1910s. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 2015. The garden borders on Hilkers Krog, part of Tisvilde Hegn.

Ramløse is a town and parish located on the northeast shore of Lake Arresø in Gribskov Municipality, North Zealand, some 50 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Local landmarks include Ramløse Church and Ramløse Windmill.

Ramløse Windmill (Danish: Ramløse Mølle) is a smock mill located in the northeastern corner of Ramløse, Gribskov Municipality, North Zealand, some 60 kilometres (37 mi) north west of Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in 1908, it remained in service until 1937. The mill has been restored to working order and is operated by a group of local volunteers six times a year. One of the other buildings at the site, a former workshop, has been turned into a small museum which exhibits historic tools used by different trades. There is also a B&B and a café.

Tisvildeleje station is the main railway station serving the seaside resort town of Tisvildeleje on the north coast of North Zealand, Denmark. The station is the terminus of the Tisvildeleje branch of the Gribskov Line from Hillerød to Tisvildeleje. The train services are currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services from Tisvildeleje to Hillerød station.

Vejby is a parish and small town in Gribskov Municipality, near Zealand's Kattegat coast, some 50 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The town of Vejby is located three kilometres east of Tisvilde and three kilometres south of Rågeleje, both popular coastal resorts, and seven kilometres north of Helsinge. Vejby Station is located on the Tisvilde branch of the Gribskov Railway and is served by Lokaltog. The town's most notable landmark is its 12th-century church. Vejby Strand (Vejby Beach) is a summer house area.

Tisvildeleje is a village and the coastal part of the town Tisvilde, located on the north coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark, 60 km/40miles north of Copenhagen in Region Hovedstaden. To the west, Tisvildeleje is bordered by the protected plantation of Tisvilde Hegn ("Tisvilde Fence"), which is Denmark's fifth largest forest. The beaches of Tisvildeleje are known for their white sands and soft dunes. The beach uses large boulders as rock armour and groynes for sea defense in most places. A sea wall also protects a stretch of the coast.

Vejby Church (Danish: Vejby Kirke) is a Church of Denmark parish church situated in the little village of Vejby, between Tisvilde and Helsinge, Gribskov Municipality, some 60 km northwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. It consists of a Romanesque nave from the first half of the 12th century, tower and chancel from around 1500 and two porches from the 19th century. It is notable for its late Gothic fresco paintings in the chancel arch from the 15th century. The painter Eiler Bille is buried in the associated graveyard.

Arresø (Danish pronunciation: [ˈɑːɑˌsøˀ]) is the largest lake, by area, in Denmark. It covers 40,72 km² (15.39 sq mi) and is situated on the island of Zealand 43 kilometers (27 miles) northwest of Copenhagen as the crow flies. Arresø is located in the northern parts of Zealand in the region of Hovedstaden just north of Ølsted and east of Frederiksværk. It is a part of the three municipalities Gribskov, Halsnæs, and Hillerød. The lake empties into Roskilde Fjord through the Arresø Canal in Frederiksværk. The artificial canal was begun around 1717 by royal command, and the work was carried out by Danish soldiers and Swedish POWs. There are a number of rivers and streams running into Arresø of which the Pøleå is the most significant. The landscape is especially hilly along the lake's west side. Among these ridges are Maglehøj in the town of Frederiksværk and Arrenakke Hills, which has views of the lake. East of Frederiksværk, the Arrenæs peninsula juts out into the lake. Historically, Arresø was a fjord, having extended northwards as Brødemose Sund, connected to Kattegat, but the land northwest of here rose after the last Ice Age, locking the waters in and creating the lake. Arresø has a rich bird and floral life. Sea eagles have returned as nesting birds, and beavers have been reintroduced. The lake is included in the Kongernes Nordsjælland National Park.The renovated wooden ship M/S Frederikke offers boat tours on the lake between May and September, embarking from Arresødal.
