Ardagh (Irish: Ardach) is a civil parish and townland in County Mayo, located slightly to the southwest of Ballina. The parish takes its name from an ancient ecclesiastical site, which was either a church or a small monastery, and is derived from "Ard Achadh", which means high ground. The earliest record of the first church in Ardagh is in an 1198 epistle issued by Pope Innocent 3rd. The parish contains two castles: Deel Castle and Rappa Castle. There is also a community centre, a Gaelic football pitch, three national schools, and a local pub, Mickey O'Boyles (The Halfway House).

Corroy (Irish: Corr Ráithe, meaning 'round-hill fort') is a village in County Mayo in Ireland. It lies on the R310 regional road between the town of Ballina and the village of Knockmore in the Parish of Backs.

Lough Conn (Irish: Loch Con, meaning 'lake of the hound') is a lake in County Mayo, Ireland. With an area of about 48 square kilometres (19 sq mi), it is Ireland's seventh largest lake. With its immediate neighbour to the south, Lough Cullin, it is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the River Moy. Lough Conn is noted for its trout and salmon fishing. The ruins of a priory exist at Errew Abbey.

Brackwanshagh (Irish: Breacbháinseach) is a townland within the parish of Kilbelfad and the historic barony of Tirawley in County Mayo, Ireland. It borders Lisduvoge, Carrowgarve, Carrowvaneen, Ballyhanruck and Rinmore townlands. As of 2011, Brackwanshagh had 58 residents in 20 occupied houses.

Corraveggaun West (Irish: Corr Bheagáin Thiar) is a townland in the parish of Ballynahaglish and the barony of Tirawley, County Mayo in Ireland. It is 0.43 square miles in area and borders Corraveggaun East in the east and the village of Knockmore to the south. As of 2011, the population of the townland was 106 people in 35 occupied houses.

Knockanillaun (Irish: Cnoc an Oileáin) is a small townland in the civil parish of Ardagh and the historical barony of Tirawley, County Mayo in Ireland. The townland, which is approximately 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2) in area, had a population of 70 people in 26 houses as of the 2011 census.

Knockmore (Irish: An Cnoc Mór, meaning 'the big hill') is a village in County Mayo, Ireland in the Parish of Backs. It is adjacent to Lough Conn between the towns of Castlebar and Ballina.

Ballina ( bal-ə-NA; Irish: Béal an Átha, meaning 'mouth of the ford') is a town in north County Mayo, Ireland. It lies at the mouth of the River Moy near Killala Bay, in the Moy valley and Parish of Kilmoremoy, with the Ox Mountains to the east and the Nephin Beg mountains to the west. The town occupies two baronies; Tirawley on the west bank of the Moy River, and Tireragh, a barony within County Sligo, on its east banks. At the 2022 census, the population of Ballina was 10,556.
