The New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) serves independent elementary and secondary schools throughout the state of New Jersey. The Association consists of 70 member schools with a total enrollment of approximately 26,000 students. Morristown High School (MHS) is a four-year public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from three communities in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Morris School District. The school serves students from Morristown and Morris Township, along with students from Morris Plains, who attend the district's high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Morris Plains Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1952.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,820 students and 136.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.3:1. There were 207 students (11.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 34 (1.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.MHS receives students from Frelinghuysen Middle School, Morris Plains Borough School, and several public and private middle schools.

Morris County Courthouse is located on Washington Street between Court Street and Western Avenue in the town of Morristown in Morris County, New Jersey. The courthouse was built in 1827 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1977, for its significance in architecture and politics/government. It was added as a contributing property of the Morristown Historic District on November 13, 1986.

Morris Township is a township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 22,974, an increase of 668 (+3.0%) from the 2010 census count of 22,306, which in turn reflected an increase of 510 (+2.3%) from the 21,796 counted in the 2000 census. The township was named for Lewis Morris, colonial governor of New Jersey.Located along the Morris and Essex Lines, the township is a wealthy bedroom community, with many residents traveling to work in nearby New York City on NJ Transit which provides commuters with direct access to New York Penn Station and to Hoboken Terminal.The township is the "doughnut" around Morristown and completely surrounds it, with at least five times the area, though near Morris Plains the width of Morris Township is less than a mile. For 115 years, Morristown was part of Morris Township. The initial separation of Morristown from Morris Township occurred on April 6, 1865. A confusing state of affairs followed for nearly thirty years. On February 18, 1895, the separation was officiated.Morris Township is home to the Morris County Golf Club and the Morris Museum, which is the second largest museum in New Jersey and has been in operation since 1913. The township is also home to the Morristown National Historical Park which in 1933 became the country's first National Historical Park.

Fort Nonsense is one of four sites comprising the Morristown National Historical Park, in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. Two other sites in Morris County are the Ford Mansion and Jockey Hollow. The fourth is the New Jersey Brigade Encampment Site in Bernardsville, Somerset County. Fort Nonsense occupies a high hilltop overlooking Morristown, and is believed to have been the site of a signal fire or smoke signal, along with earthworks. It was originally built at the order of General George Washington in 1777 for use during the American Revolutionary War that began in 1775 and was ended in 1783 by the Treaty of Paris.

Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael (acronym MJCBY) is a Conservative Jewish congregation and synagogue located in Morristown, New Jersey. It was formally incorporated in 1899, while its building was constructed in 1929.MJCBY is affiliated with Conservative Judaism although originally having started as an Orthodox congregation. It is the oldest active congregation in Morristown, having a significant historic Jewish community during its era of peak significance.

The Cutler Homestead is a historic house located at 21 Cutler Street in the town of Morristown in Morris County, New Jersey. Originally built in 1799 by Joseph Cutler for Silas Condict, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 10, 1975, for its significance in architecture, law, and politics/government.

The Hoffman Building, also known as The Arnold, was a Morristown, New Jersey structure completed before 1896.Located across the street from the Morristown Green, the three-story building housed retail and rental properties, most notably Adams & Fairchild grocers and P. H. Hoffman & Son clothiers. It was commissioned by Philip H. Hoffman, and its carpenter was John T. Allen.The inscription above the entrance hall read "The Arnold," in homage to the Arnold's Tavern, the historic building moved to accommodate it. It was demolished some time before the 1960s to make room for the Reynolds & Co building, in which a Charles Schwab location now stands.

The Rabbinical College of America is a Chabad Lubavitch Chasidic yeshiva in Morristown, New Jersey. The Yeshiva is under the direction of Rabbi Moshe Herson. The growth of the Yeshiva college has had a significant cultural effect on the community and has influenced many Jewish families to move into the area to be near the Yeshiva and the surrounding synagogues. It is supported by Jewish philanthropists such as David T. Chase and Ronald Lauder of Estée Lauder Inc.Licensed by the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education, the Yeshiva grants a four-year Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies accredited by the Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools.The college is located on an 82-acre (330,000 m2) campus in Morris Township, New Jersey. The campus is the New Jersey Headquarters of the Chabad Lubavitch movement.
