Great Island Power Station

Cheekpoint (Irish: Pointe na Síge) is a village and townland in County Waterford, Ireland, at the confluence of the River Suir and the River Barrow. Located beneath 150-metre-high Minaun Hill, the village has panoramic views of Waterford Harbour, the 650-metre-long Barrow Bridge and Great Island Power Station. Cheekpoint is also surrounded by the Malting Woods which were planted by Cornelius Bolton.

Barrow rail bridge, (or the Barrow viaduct), is a pratt truss type of railway bridge that spans the river Barrow between County Kilkenny and County Wexford in the south east of Ireland. This rural landmark with a length of 2,131 ft (650 m) is the longest bridge on the river. It was second longest bridge in Ireland and the third longest rail bridge on the islands of Ireland & Great Britain. Designed by Sir Benjamin Baker and built by the firm of Sir William Arrol. It is known locally as Barrow Bridge. Part of a development to improve cross-channel passenger services. The steel truss single track bridge was built between 1902 and 1906 by English and Irish railway companies, it operated passenger services between Rosslare Harbour and Waterford until 2010. It is maintained by Iarnród Éireann, the Irish rail operator.This bridge is one of six rail bridges of 45 bridges on the Barrow. It spans the river just upstream from its confluence with another of the three sisters the River Suir. Close to Great Island Power Station near Cheekpoint. It is the last bridge on the river Barrow and opens approximately twice daily to permit shipping and yachts to pass upstream to New Ross.In 2021, reports in local media suggested the bridge would be permanently opened to shipping. This proposal was later reversed. After a collision with a ship in February 2022, Irish Rail announced plans to pin the bridge open in December 2022 to perform repair works.

Dunbrody Abbey (Irish: Mainistir Dhún Bróithe) is a former Cistercian monastery in County Wexford, Ireland. The cross-shaped church was built in the 13th century, and the tower was added in the 15th century. With a length of 59m the church was one of the longest in Ireland. The visitor centre is run by the current Marquess of Donegall and has one of only two full sized hedge mazes in Ireland. The abbey was dissolved under Henry VIII. The last Abbot of Dunbrody was Alexander Devereux, who became Bishop of Ferns in 1539.

Ballyhack (Irish: Baile Hac or Baile Each) is a small village located in the south-west of County Wexford, in Ireland, on the eastern shore of the Waterford Harbour, which is the estuary of The Three Sisters

Passage East (Irish: An Pasáiste, meaning 'the passage') is a fishing village in County Waterford, Ireland, situated on the west bank of Waterford Harbour. It is 12 km from Waterford city 10 km from Dunmore East and 21 km from Tramore.

Horeswood GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Wexford, Ireland. The club fields teams in Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and Ladies Gaelic football, and participates in competitions organized by Wexford GAA county board.

The Barrow (Irish: An Bhearú) is a river in Ireland. It is one of The Three Sisters; the other two being the River Suir and the River Nore. The Barrow is the longest of the three rivers and, at 192 km (120 mi), the second-longest river in Ireland, behind the River Shannon. The catchment area of the River Barrow is 3,067 km2 before the River Nore joins it a little over 20 km before its mouth. The river's long term average flow rate, again before it is joined by River Nore, is 37.4 cubic metres per second. At the merger with the River Suir, its catchment area is ca. 5,500 km2 and its discharge over 80 m3/s.

Crooke Preceptory is a ruined church, traditionally associated with the Knights Templar and the Knights Hospitaller, in County Waterford, Ireland. It is located in the townland of Crooke and the present day parish of Killea Crooke and Faithlegg. The church is associated with the nearby (13th century) Crook Castle tower house.

Passage GAA is a Hurling Club with Club Grounds the East Waterford village of Passage East with Players representing the Club from nearby areas of Dunmore East, Cheekpoint, Woodstown, Faithlegg, Ballymacaw and environs. Passage came close a number of times to capturing the Senior Hurling County Title losing three Waterford Senior Hurling Finals during the 1990s. Eventually, the Club captured the County Senior Hurling Title in 2013, 17 years since their last final, on a score line of Ballygunner 3-13 Passage 3-16, coming from 7 points down (with 7 minutes normal time remaining) to score 2-4 without reply.

Gorteens Castle is a ruined castle situated on private land in south-east County Kilkenny near the village of Slieverue close to Waterford city. It is in the historic parish of Rathpatrick in the south-east of the Barony of Ida. Along with the ruins of Rathpatrick church and another church, it is one of several ruins in Rathpatrick Parish.The ruin consists of a gatehouse that may have belonged to a larger structure. Gorteens comes from the Irish na goirtinsdhe which means little gorts or gardens. Archaeological excavations near the castle in 1993 indicated that the site was used between the 16th and 18th centuries, with further excavations in 2003 identifying additional castle walls and outbuildings.

Arthurstown (Irish: Colmán) is a small village in the townland of Coleman in southwest County Wexford, Ireland. It is located at the junction of the R733 and R770 regional roads on the eastern shore of the Waterford Harbour estuary, where The Three Sisters flow into the sea. As of the 2016 census, the town had a population of 127.Located between Ballyhack and Duncannon, Arthurstown is home to a pub and service station.

Campile (Irish: Ceann Phoill or Ceann Poill, meaning 'head of the creek') is a small village situated in County Wexford in the south of Ireland. It is 14 kilometres (9 miles) south of the town of New Ross. As of the 2016 census, Campile had a population of 448 people.
