Newbridge railway station (Ireland)

Station Road is a football ground and training complex located in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. It is home to Leinster Senior League outfit Newbridge Town F.C. It was also the home of now defunct Eircom League Division One side Kildare County F.C. The ground was bought in the early 1980s by Newbridge Town F.C. The ground itself is located beside Newbridge railway station and hence was named Station Road. During the years Newbridge Town F.C. have developed Station Road and it now contains a sports hall, a clubhouse, training facilities, new all-weather pitches, showers and dressing rooms. The founding of Kildare County in 2002 saw the erection of floodlights and the development of a 250-seater stand (250 seats and a corporate area for 70). There was plans for the construction of a new 1,100-seat stand. However two separate 300-seat uncovered stands were erected on the Milltown side of the ground in August 2008 instead. Further up grade work including turnstiles, realigning and lengthening of the pitch to 95 metres as well as the erection of screen fencing at the rear of the Town goals, additional security monitoring, the installation of lightning protection is also planned.

Sarsfields is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Newbridge in County Kildare, Ireland. The club name is linked to Patrick Sarsfield's castle in the area and the club's colours are green with a white sash. Sarsfields has won 25 Kildare Senior Football Championships, more than any other club in the competition.

Newbridge, officially known by its Irish name Droichead Nua (pronounced [ˈd̪ˠɾˠɛçəd̪ˠ ˈn̪ˠuə]), is a town in County Kildare, Ireland. While the nearby Great Connell Priory was founded in the 13th century, the town itself formed from the 18th century onwards, and grew rapidly alongside a military barracks which opened in the early 19th century. Taking on the name Newbridge (An Droichead Nua) in the 20th century, the town expanded to support the local catchment, and also as a commuter town for Dublin. Doubling in population during the 20 years between 1991 and 2011, its population of 24,366 in 2022 makes it the second largest town in Kildare and the sixteenth-largest in Ireland.

St Conleth's Park (Irish: Páirc Naoimh Conlaith) is a GAA stadium in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. It is the county ground of Kildare's Gaelic football and hurling teams. It also served as the town's greyhound racing track from 1948 until 1968.

Newbridge Greyhound Stadium is a greyhound racing track located northwest of Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. Racing takes place every Friday evening and the facilities include the grandstand Masters Restaurant and Barkers Bar which offers ample seating. Race distances are 325, 525, 550, 575 and 750 yards and the feature competitions are the Unraced Bitch Stake, the Juvenile Derby and the Newbridge Oaks.

Newbridge College (Irish: Coláiste Dhroichead Nua), the Dominican College Newbridge, is a co-educational private fee-paying voluntary secondary school in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland, run by the Roman Catholic Dominican Order. The Dominican Friars founded Newbridge Dominican College in 1852 as a boarding school for boys. Today, still run by the Dominican Fathers, Newbridge College is a mixed day school with a student population of almost 1,000 pupils. It is also the home of a resident Community of Dominican Friars - the Priory and Church being centred between the two wings of the College buildings.

The Patrician Secondary School (Irish: Meánscoil Phádraig) in Newbridge, County Kildare was founded on 26 August 1958 by the Patrician Brothers in Charlotte House, Station Road. It is now situated on its own grounds, opposite St Conleth's Parish Church. It is an all-boys secondary school noted for the creative arts, sciences, and sports.

Sundai Ireland International School (駿台アイルランド国際学校 Sundai Airurando Kokusai Gakkō) was a Japanese international school in Newbridge, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. It served junior high school and senior high school students, who had Japanese expatriate parents. The school was in operation in the 1990s. This school was an overseas branch of a Japanese private school, or a Shiritsu zaigai kyōiku shisetsu (私立在外教育施設).Curragh Grange was the main building, and it featured the Lafcadio Hearn Library. Kildare House (キルデア・ハウス Kirudea Hausu) served as a classroom building. The campus also featured dormitory and dining facilities.The school closed in March 2003, and Gaelscoil Chill Dara moved into its classroom building. The dormitory building was intended to be converted to a school for special needs children, however it was found to be unsuitable for this purpose. It laid vacant for six years until September 2009, when Newbridge Educate Together began occupying the property. The dining hall building lay vacant for seven years until mid 2010, when Gaelscoil Chill Dara repurposed it to provide additional classrooms to the school.

Hawkfield (Irish: Gort an tSeabhaic) is a townland in County Kildare, Ireland. It is located on the R416 regional road north of Newbridge. It lies between Newbridge town and Milltown village. It is positioned between Pollardstown Fen and the Bog of Allen - both of which are abundant with rare flora and fauna. It is home to Kildare GAA "centre of excellence".

Gaelscoil Chill Dara (GSCD) is a coeducational Irish language primary school situated on the Green Road in the Curragh, County Kildare in Ireland. The school was founded in 1995 with the vision of delivering primary education through the medium of Irish (a Gaelscoil) while following the standard national school curriculum, allowing pupils to gain full proficiency as Gaeilge. Gaelscoil Chill Dara was originally based in Herbert Lodge on the Curragh, moving to a much larger purpose-built premises at Curragh Grange in the early millennium due to the increasing demanding for primary Irish-speaking education in the County Kildare region. The school serves the surrounding urban centres of Newbridge, Kildare Town, Naas, Kilcullen and Rathangan.Gaelscoil Chill Dara has a Catholic religious ethos and is under the patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna LánGhaeilge Teo. "Chill Dara" (singular Cill Dara) is the Irish name for Kildare, meaning "church of the oak". Pupils range in age from 4 to 13 years of age. Its main education focus is on English, Irish, Mathematics and Drama subjects.The number of pupils enrolled in the school for the 2015/16 school year was 444, with an even breakdown in the number of girls and boys, and 16 classes spanning the 8 years from junior infants to sixth class. The school has been oversubscribed for a number of years.The current principal is Niamh Uí Chadhla, who was appointed in 2019 after the resignation of former principal Seán de Paor, who had been principal since the school's establishment in 1995.
