Green Glade Senior Public School is a middle school under the Peel District School Board located in Mississauga, Ontario. The school serves students from grade 6-8 in the Lorne Park area. The school also has an Extended French program which serves grade 7 & 8 students from most of Mississauga.

Alfred Clayburn Atkey, (16 August 1894 – 14 February 1971) was a Canadian First World War flying ace, officially credited with 38 aerial victories, making him the fifth highest scoring Canadian ace. However, all those above him flew in single-seat fighters, whereas Atkey gained all his victories in heavier two-seater aircraft, becoming the highest scoring two-seater pilot of the war.

The Credit Indian Village was a settlement on the banks of the Credit River in modern-day Mississauga, Ontario. The settlement was initially founded in 1826 by a band of Mississaugas of the Credit who had converted to Christianity. Notable figures in the early settlement include Peter Jones, the son of Ontario surveyor Augustus Jones and his wife, Tuhbenahneequay. In 1847, the Mississaugas were evicted from the site by the Ontario government due to pressure from neighbouring white settlers; the tribe was forced to relocate to their current home, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, after being gifted land from the Six Nations of the Grand River. Since 1905, the original site of the village has been occupied by the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club.

The Mississaugua Golf & Country Club is a mixed club featuring an 18-hole championship golf course, curling facilities with six sheets, pro shop and lounge, tennis courts, fitness centre, and an active bridge club. It was founded in 1906 and is located in south-central Mississauga, Ontario (the spelling difference between the names of the city and the club is intentional). Built on the site of the Credit Indian Village approximately fifty years after the land was initially expropriated, the course started as 9 holes, designed by Percy Barrett of the Lambton Golf Club. In 1909, the course was expanded to 18 by George Cumming from the Toronto Golf Club, and in 1919 Donald Ross made several revisions. The course was lengthened by Stanley Thompson in 1927, to prepare for the 1931 Canadian Open. It currently plays to par 71, measuring 6,663 yards from the gold tees and 7,115 yards from the back black tees. The club went through a golf course renovation program by rebuilding all of their greens in the latter part of 2007 and ending mid year 2008. Mississauga—Lakeshore is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. This riding was formerly known as Mississauga South prior to 2015.It includes the neighbourhoods of Cawthra, Sheridan Heights, Park Royal, Clarkson, Rattray Park Estates, Lorne Park, Lorne Park Estates, Port Credit, Applewood Acres, Lakeview and Orchard Heights. It has a population of 113,003 and an area of 61 km2. In 2003, it was defined to consist of the part of the City of Mississauga lying southeast of a line drawn from northeast to southwest along the Queensway to the Credit River, west along the Credit River, and southwest along Dundas Street West to the southwestern city limit.

Holy Name of Mary College School, located in Mississauga, is Ontario's only independent Catholic school for girls in Grades 5 to 12. From a 25-acre setting Holy Name of Mary College School offers a liberal arts education and follows a modified semester system as of the 2021–2022 school year. With the exception of certain Open courses, such as Music and Physical Education, all courses are offered exclusively at the Academic level and educate girls to university-entrance standards. Vocal music is a key focus at Holy Name of Mary College School; the school has three award-winning choirs. Clarkson Secondary School is a high school in Clarkson community of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; designated Ward 18 by the Peel District School Board. Clarkson is an average school in both population (11th, at 866 students) and age (13th, built in 1969) of the entire Peel range of 28 public secondary schools. It is also known as the "Peel Academy for International Students".
