Community Hospital East

The NeuroDiagnostic Institute (NDI) is a state psychiatric hospital located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The hospital serves Central Indiana, having replaced the now-closed Larue D. Carter Memorial Hospital. NDI is operated by the State of Indiana Family and Social Services Administration in partnership with the private Community Health Network. The hospital, built on the Community Hospital East campus, opened on March 15, 2019 as Indiana's first new state psychiatric hospital in decades.

Roy and Iris Corbin Lustron House, also known as the Corbin-Featherstone House, is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. It was built in 1949, and is a one-story, side gabled Lustron house. It is constructed of steel and is sided and roofed with porcelain enameled steel panels. It sits on a poured concrete pad and measures 1,085 square feet. A garage was added to the house in the 1950s. It is one of about 30 Lustron houses built in Marion County.: 5–7 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The North Irvington Gardens Historic District is a neighborhood and national historic district in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2008. It is immediately to the north of the Irvington Historic District, which has been on the National Register since 1987, sharing the same east and west boundaries of the older district (Arlington Avenue and Emerson Avenue, respectively), and extending north to 10th and 11th streets. It is a neighborhood of mostly residential buildings dating primarily from 1910 to 1950, with no one distinctive architectural style, including a house associated with the historic Osborn Farm. Except for one church, the only buildings contributing to the historic nature of the district are 843 houses and 551 garages. Most fences in the district mark the perimeter of the individual properties; very few are along the streets.The district was placed on the register for three reasons. First, it reflects residential development trends during its time of significance. Second, noted author Margaret Weymouth Jackson lived in the district between World War I and World War II. Finally, it reflects the various styles used in residence in a "textbook" manner, particularly "small houses".One of the prominent structures in the district is Harold's Steer-In, built in 1951. It is a contributing building even though it was built one year after the era of notability. Originally named Northways Restaurant when it opened in 1951, it became Laughner's Cafeteria from the mid-1950s to 1964, at which time it gained the name Harold's Steer-In. It has remained open since then except for three weeks in 2004 when it seemed to have closed for good until two employees invested in the restaurant and reopened it in time for a special Thanksgiving Day feast for loyal customers. It is one of the few surviving authentic drive-ins left in Indianapolis. Peyton Manning once filmed a commercial for MasterCard in the building in 2005.The Irvington Development Organization was the driving force in obtaining National Register status for the district. Money from a Preserve America grant given to the organization funded this effort.

Scecina Memorial High School is a Roman Catholic co-educational high school located on the East Side of Indianapolis, Indiana. It is named in honor of Fr. Thomas Scecina, a priest from Indianapolis who was killed in action during the Second World War.

Cross Trust Clifford Avenue Addition, is a national historic district located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It encompasses 1,000 contributing buildings and 9 contributing objects in a planned residential section of Indianapolis. The district developed between about 1910 and 1949, and includes representative examples of Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style residential architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

It encompasses 149 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a planned residential section of Indianapolis. The district developed between about 1915 and 1959, and includes representative examples of Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style residential architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Emerson Heights Historic District, also known as Emerson Heights Addition and Chas. M. Cross Trust Clifford Avenue Addition, is a national historic district located at Indianapolis, Indiana. The district encompasses 1,000 contributing buildings and 9 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Indianapolis. They include 659 houses, 334 garages, 7 commercial buildings, and 9 objects. It was developed between about 1910 and 1940, and includes representative examples of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. The houses are characteristically of frame construction with brick front porches, with some brick dwellings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Emerson Theater is an all age music venue located in the Little Flower neighborhood of Indianapolis, Indiana. It was opened in 1928 as a one-screen movie theater under the name Eastland Theater and was later renamed to Emerson Theater in 1931. It has since been renovated to operate as a music venue with the seats being removed and a stage built in and has hosted hundreds of shows over the years. As of 2021, the 400 person venue hosts local music acts on Friday and Saturday nights and occasionally regional or national acts throughout the week. On January 18, 2019, a previous Emerson Theater owner announced on social media that the venue was relocating to a location on the west side of Indianapolis and would be renamed The Citadel Music Hall. The building was subsequently vacant until reopening under new ownership in early 2020.

Little Flower is a neighborhood on the near eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Its boundaries are 16th Street, 10th Street, Emerson Avenue, and Sherman Drive. Little Flower has two grocery stores, at least three convenience stores, restaurants, bars, a post office, churches, schools, and other entertainment options within walking distance. The neighborhood is named for Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, to whom the neighborhood's Little Flower Catholic Church is dedicated. The majority of the homes in the neighborhood are bungalows, most of them constructed in the 1920s. Little Flower is part of the Near Eastside Community Organization, aimed at improving neighborhoods on the city's east side.

Naval Air Warfare Center, Indianapolis (NAWC) is a former United States Navy facility in Warren Township, Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. The plant opened in 1942, covering 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) and employing some 3,000 in avionics research and development. The facility was closed in 1996 following recommendations from the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure Commission. As of 2022, the facility is privately owned by Vertex Aerospace and employs about 600.

Carlos and Anne Recker House, also known as the Recker-Aley-Ajamie House, is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. It was built in 1908, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Bungalow / American Craftsman style frame dwelling. It has a steeply pitched side-gable roof with dormers. The house was built to plans prepared by Gustav Stickley through his Craftsman Home Builder's Club.: 5 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Julian–Clark House, also known as the Julian Mansion, is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. It was built in 1873, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Italianate style brick dwelling. It has a low-pitched hipped roof with bracketed eaves and a full-width front porch. It features a two-story projecting bay and paired arched windows on the second story. From 1945 to 1973, the building housed Huff's Sanitarium.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
