Ashfield College is a private post-primary school founded in 1977 and located in Dundrum in Dublin, Ireland. The school offers preparation for the Leaving Certificate examination, both as a two-year leaving certificate senior cycle, but also as a one-year (Repeat Leaving Cert.) programme. The school also caters for overseas students wishing to study in Ireland for the Irish leaving certificate. Twenty one leaving certificate subjects are taught at the school, and the school uses e-learning facilities (such as Moodle), and students can access course material, including recorded lectures online. As well as the popular subjects for the leaving cert some less common leaving cert subjects of Arabic, Agricultural Science and Classical Studies are also available at Ashfield. The school offers a career guidance service to students with advice on academic and career issues, such as advice on completing the Irish CAO college application process or the UK UCAS system. The school also provides tuition programmes at weekends and in the evenings for students sitting the Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate, also during mid-term, Christmas and Easter school holidays intense revision courses are available. Before start of the school year there is a Pre-Leaving Cert preparation course run, this is a week where students can enroll to improve their ability in a subject or subjects which they will be studying for in the leaving cert. The college also offers grinds in some Junior Certificate subjects, such as English, Irish and Mathematics.The Christmas Intensive Revision Course for Leaving and Junior Cert. takes place in the first week of January. The Easter Revision exam preparation course take place over the Easter school holidays. Prior to the Leaving Cert exams a final revision course and exam workshop is available usually held in the last week of May. Ashfield run specific courses for the oral Irish, French and Spanish Leaving Cert exams. These programmes include five hours tuition as well as a mock oral examinations to prepare students for the official exam.

Terenure College is a Carmelite-run secondary school located in the suburb of Terenure, Dublin, Ireland. The school was founded in 1860 and had an associated primary school until 2017. It is one of the "big six" Leinster Schools Rugby-playing institutions, winning the Leinster Schools Senior Cup 10 times. 80% of the students who sat the Leaving Certificate in 2007 accepted a place in an Irish university.

Templeogue Synge Street (Irish: Teach Mealóg Sráid Singe) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dublin, Ireland. Synge Street Past Pupils G.F.C was founded in 1945 and Templeogue G.F.C formed in 1978. The two clubs were merged in 1999. They won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 2008 giving them a coveted spot in the Dublin Senior Football Championship for 2009. They currently play in AFL 1, AFL 5 and AFL 9

Ballyroan (Irish: Baile Uí Ruáin, meaning 'O'Rowan's town') is a suburb in Rathfarnham, County Dublin in Ireland. It lies at the foot of the Dublin mountains, alongside Ballyboden, Butterfield, Knocklyon, Old Orchard, and Scholarstown. The townland of Ballyroan crosses civil parish and barony boundaries with roughly 114 acres of the historical townland in the civil parish of Tallaght in the barony of Uppercross, and nearly 10 acres in the civil parish of Rathfarnham in the barony of Rathdown. The modern suburb of Ballyroan has extended somewhat beyond the traditional townland boundaries.The centre of Ballyroan contains the Ballyroan Community & Youth Centre, the Rosemount Shopping Centre, the parish church which opened in December 1967 and which possesses two murals inside by the artist, Seán Keating, and the Ballyroan public library which opened in 1986. The library closed in September 2011 and was demolished. A new library twice the size of the original was built at the same site at a cost of €2.6 million and opened on 18 February 2013.

Templeogue College C.S.Sp is a boys' voluntary secondary school in the suburb of Templeogue, Dublin in Ireland. It was founded in 1966 and is run by the Holy Ghost Fathers, a Roman Catholic religious institute. The school's principal is Niamh Quinn and the motto of the school is in virtute scientia, which means 'education rooted in values'. There were 700 pupils and 50 teachers at the school in 2020.The school participates in sports including rugby union, basketball, football, athletics, and badminton.The school's rugby team, whose colours are red and blue, has reached the final of the Leinster Schools Junior Cup twice, in 1980 and in 1985. In the 1980 final, the school lost 0-4 to Blackrock College of Dublin and, in the 1985 final, the school lost 0-14 to Presentation College of Bray, County Wicklow. In 2002, the school rugby team visited South Africa, the first state school in Ireland to do so. In 2003, the school won the Leinster Schools Rugby Senior League. Also in rugby, the school has won a number of McMullen Shield competitions.

The Young European Strings (YES) School of Music is located in Dublin, Ireland and specialises in the early development and training of young professional musicians. The YES School of Music provides tuition for the violin, viola, cello and double bass. The Young European Strings Chamber Orchestra (YESCO) has performed throughout Europe and has released three albums to date.

Bushy Park (Irish: Páirc na dTor) is a large, 20.5-hectare (51-acre), suburban public park in Terenure, Dublin, Ireland.

Kimmage Development Studies Centre (DSC) was a private third level institution based at Kimmage Manor in Dublin, Ireland from 1974 to July 2018. It provided courses in Development Studies since 1974 as well as other training courses aimed at the International Development Sector, development practitioners and activists. In July 2018 the academic and professional training programmes of Kimmage DSC were transferred to a newly established Department of International Development at Maynooth University, Ireland's first department of this kind. The company formerly known as Kimmage DSC changed its name to the Shanahan Research Group (SRG), which has continued to operate from Kimmage Manor, supporting doctoral research in international development. SRG completed a voluntary winding down process in early 2022 following successful completion of the doctoral studies of several fellows.

Sancta Maria College is a girls' Catholic voluntary secondary school in Ballyroan, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland. The school is governed by a board of management. There are approximately 525 students and 34 permanent teachers. It is run by the Sisters of Mercy.

Carlisle Cricket Club Ground was a cricket ground in Kimmage, South Dublin, Ireland. The grounds were built by members of the Jewish Community and finally opened in March 1954. Other sports such as Soccer, Rugby, Tennis were played on the grounds. The first recorded senior league match on the ground was in 1970, when Carlisle joined the Senior League status. South Leinster played North West in 1970 there also.July 1990 saw the ground host its first International when Ireland played host to Wales for a 3 Day International Match. The ground also hosted a single Women's One Day International match which saw Ireland women played New Zealand in 1996.In local domestic cricket, the ground was the home ground of South Leinster, as well as Carlisle Cricket Club. Sometime after the final recorded match on the ground in 1998, the ground was sold to Ben Dunne for development as a Gym and is today called "Carlisle Gym".

Rathfarnham (Irish: Ráth Fearnáin, meaning 'Fearnán's ringfort') is a Southside suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is south of Terenure, east of Templeogue, and is in the postal districts of Dublin 14 and 16. It is within the administrative areas of both Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council and South Dublin County Council.

Ballyboden St Enda's (CLG Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna in Irish) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Knocklyon, South Dublin, Republic of Ireland. The Club serves the Rathfarnham, Knocklyon, Ballycullen, Ballyboden, Ballyroan, Firhouse areas. They offer hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, handball, and rounders. They were founded in 1969 after the merger of 2 clubs in the Rathfarnham area – the Ballyboden Wanderers (founded 1910) and Rathfarnham St. Endas (founded 1966). Their homeground, Páirc Uí Mhurchú is located on the Firhouse Road. It was named Páirc Uí Mhurchú in 1984, in honour of founding member and first chairman of Ballyboden St Enda's, Ned Murphy (Éamonn Ó Murchú) (1908–1981). According to The Irish Times, Ballyboden is "almost certainly... the biggest sports club in Europe", with 172 teams representing it in 2020.
