Barrington is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 6,983, reflecting a decline of 101 (-1.4%) from the 7,084 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 310 (+4.6%) from the 6,774 counted in the 1990 Census.The area became known as "Barrington" in the 1880s, when William Simpson, one of the partners that developed the area, chose the name from his home in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.Barrington was incorporated as a borough on March 27, 1917, from portions of the now-defunct Centre Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 17, 1917. Portions of the borough were taken on March 24, 1926, to form Lawnside.The borough had the 30th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.069% in 2020, compared to 3.470% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

The Haddon Heights School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Haddon Heights, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising four schools, had an enrollment of 1,481 students and 131.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.3:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.The districts' high school also serves students from the neighboring communities of Barrington, Lawnside and Merchantville, who attend the high school as part of sending/receiving relationships. The Haddon Heights district approved an agreement with the Merchantville School District in September 2013 that would add nearly 80 students a year from Merchantville to the high school, in addition to the average of more than 260 students from Barrington and 120 from Lawnside that are sent to Haddon Heights each year. The plan was approved by the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education, and students from Merchantville began attending the school in September 2015. Students from Merchantville already in high school before 2015 will continue to attend Pennsauken High School until their graduation, as part of a longstanding sending/receiving relationship with the Pennsauken Public Schools in Pennsauken Township.

The Col. Joseph Ellis House is located in Haddon Heights, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1760, and was the dwelling of Revolutionary War hero Colonel Joseph Ellis. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 23, 1994.

In 2011, New Jersey Monthly named Haddon Heights the second best town to live in Southern New Jersey, after Moorestown Township.

Peter Mott House is an historic home that is the oldest standing residence in Lawnside, New Jersey. It was the home of Peter and Eliza Mott, a freed Black farmer, carpenter, pastor, and a "stationmaster" on the Underground Railroad. It is located in close proximity to Interstate 295, the New Jersey Turnpike, and the White Horse Pike.

Tavistock Country Club is a private 18-hole golf club located in Tavistock, New Jersey. On December 14, 1920, the club was formally incorporated, and the course was ready for play on June 22, 1921. The course is nestled between Warwick Road and Interstate 295 in Camden County, New Jersey.The club is where the modern day snowboard was created by Tom Sims.Tavistock is part of the smallest municipality in New Jersey by population. The Borough of Tavistock was established in 1921 as the club's original municipality, Haddonfield, did not allow for games to be played on Sunday.The current (2019) club champion at Tavistock is Jamie Slonis and Mary McGuinness.

Triton Regional High School is a four-year comprehensive regional public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Bellmawr, Gloucester Township and Runnemede, three communities in Camden County, New Jersey, United States, operating as one of three secondary schools of the Black Horse Pike Regional School District. Triton serves all students from Bellmawr and Runnemede, along with those from the northern portion of Gloucester Township.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,103 students and 97.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 305 students (27.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 58 (5.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
