Seneca Polytechnic, formerly Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology or Seneca College for short, is a multi-campus public polytechnic in the Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough, Ontario. It offers full-time and part-time programs at the baccalaureate, diploma, certificate, and graduate levels attended primarily by international students, from whom it draws 80 per cent of its tuition revenue. Seneca Polytechnic had Canada's largest enrolment of 9,318 international students in 2020-2021.

Hillcrest Village is a neighbourhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the northern district of North York. It is bordered by Finch to the South, Leslie Street to the West, Steeles to the North and Victoria Park to the East. Both neighbourhoods share the Don Valley as a point of reference in the Eastern border of the neighbourhoods. The Don valley provides a hillside landscape in the east end of the neighbourhood. In conjunction with Duncan Creek and numerous parks the area has some natural splendour.

Don Valley North (French: Don Valley-Nord) is a provincial electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.Don Valley North consists of the part of the City of Toronto lying within the following limits: commencing at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue East; east to Victoria Park Avenue, south to Highway 401, west to the Don River East Branch, north to Finch Avenue East, west along Finch Avenue to Bayview Avenue, and then north along Bayview Avenue to the point of commencement. This riding was created from parts of Willowdale and Don Valley East during the 2012 electoral redistribution.

Don Valley North (French: Don Valley-Nord) is a federal electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 1997 and since 2015. Don Valley North covers the area of the City of Toronto bounded by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Highway 401 to the south, Bayview Avenue to the west, and Victoria Park Avenue to the east. Former North York city council member Barbara Greene, a Progressive Conservative, was elected as its first Member of Parliament in the 1988 election. She was defeated by Liberal Sarkis Assadourian in the 1993 election. This riding was originally created in 1987, and was first used in the federal election of 1988. It was created from parts of Don Valley East and York—Scarborough ridings. In 1996, the riding was abolished through redistribution, and divided between Don Valley East and Willowdale ridings. This riding was re-created from parts of Willowdale and Don Valley East during the 2012 electoral redistribution. As per the 2016 Census, Don Valley North is one of the only three City of Toronto ridings where Chinese is both the most frequent ethnic origin (32.4% of the population) and most frequent ethnicity group (31.3%, while White/Europeans come second with 29.3% of the population).

Georges Vanier Secondary School (also named as Georges Vanier SS, GVSS, Georges Vanier or Vanier) and Woodbine Middle School (shortly called as Woodbine M.S., WMS and Woodbine) are two public schools consisting of a junior high school (Grades 6 to 8) and high school (Grades 9 to 12) located in North York district of Toronto, Ontario. Owned and Operated by the North York Board of Education (which is now merged into the Toronto District School Board), the school was named after Canada's first French-Canadian Governor General, Georges Vanier. Attached to the Vanier-Woodbine campus is the North-East Year Round Alternative Centre.

Don Valley Village is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former suburb of North York. Located north of Highway 401 and bisected by Don Mills Road, it is bounded by Sheppard Avenue to the south, Leslie Street to the west, Finch Avenue to the north and Highway 404 to the east. Like the nearby Don River Valley (to the east), the neighbourhood has hill and dale topography.

Pleasant View is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada that is located in the district of North York at the northern end of the city. It is bordered by Victoria Park to the East, Sheppard Avenue to the South, Highway 404 to the west and the Finch hydro corridor to the north (north of Finch Avenue). The neighbourhood is home to several high-rise apartment and condominium buildings, such as The Clippers. This has become a popular area for immigrants and many Chinese are arriving and settling in the area. The area also has a sizeable Italian and Greek population, among others. There is a huge percentage of house ownership in the area and the neighbourhood would be classified as middle income, with people on both ends of that spectrum.

Fairview Mall (corporately designated CF Fairview Mall) is a large shopping centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada of about 80,000 m2 (860,000 sq ft). Opened in 1970, the centre has over 180 stores, offices and a cinema complex. It is located several kilometres north-east of downtown, at the northeast corner of Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East in the former city of North York.

A. Y. Jackson Secondary School is a secondary school for grades 9 to 12 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was opened in 1970 by the North York Board of Education, and is now operated by its successor, the Toronto District School Board. The school was named after A. Y. Jackson, a Canadian painter and one of the founders of the Group of Seven.

The Shops on Steeles and 404 is a small 70-store community mall at the corner of Steeles Avenue East and Don Mills Road in Markham, Ontario. Aside from a few chains, the mall is mostly independent stores.

Don Mills is a subway station that is the eastern terminus of Line 4 Sheppard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station is at the northeast corner of Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road, within the residential communities of Don Valley Village and Henry Farm, adjacent to Fairview Mall shopping centre. The station is close to Highways 401 and 404, as well as the Don Valley Parkway. Other nearby landmarks include Fairview Mall, Georges Vanier Secondary School, and the Fairview district branch of the Toronto Public Library.

Sir Ernest MacMillan Senior Public School is a seventh- and eighth-grade school in the Scarborough area of Toronto. A triple-track school, it offers programs in Standard English (with Core French), Extended French, and French Immersion.The school is named for Canada's only "Musical Knight".
