Hietalahdentori (Swedish: Sandvikstorget) is a square in Hietalahti in Helsinki, Finland. The area is known for its popular flea market, which is open from May to September. During World War I it was used as a Russian horse barracks. The market began in 1906, and was known for a long time for its high quality food. The other key destination on the square is the Hietalahti market hall, hosting a number of trendy restaurants.

Olo n:o 22 is an outdoor sculpture in Hietalahti, Helsinki, Finland. It was created by Pasi Karjula and Marko Vuokola and unveiled on July 25, 2000. The sculpture consists of over 50 polished steel spheres of various sizes, scattered in various places around near the seashore. Most of the spheres are out in the open, but some are located inside private businesses or courtyards.

Hietalahti (Swedish: Sandviken) is the southernmost section of the Kamppi neighborhood the city of Helsinki, Finland. A notable feature is the Hietalahti shipyard.Hietalahti's borders are the seaside, Mechelininkatu, Ruoholahdenkatu, Albertinkatu, Bulevardi. It is located between Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari to the West, the rest of Kamppi to the North, and Punavuori to the East. Hietalahti's main attractions include Helsinki's most popular flea market, the Hietalahti market hall, a luxurious hotel and a couple of seafood-themed restaurants. The Helsinki International Bible Center and a Hare Krishna organisation are also located in the area. The outdoor sculpture Olo n:o 22 can be found around the harbour basin.

The Hietalahti market hall is an old market hall located near the Hietalahdentori market square in Helsinki, Finland, hosting several restaurants and cafés. The market hall acts as concentration for restaurants and cafés, offering Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, French and Middle Eastern cuisine both at lunchtime and in the evening. Although the building designed by architect Selim A. Lindqvist in 1903 was believed to originally have served as a Russian cavalry barracks, it has been a market hall since the beginning. Of the market halls in the city centre, it was known for its grocery offerings for a long time, but as the Hietalahdentori market square next to it started gaining publicity about illegal trade of alcoholic beverages and tobacco by foreign tourists, this had a negative effect on the market hall's activity. At the turn of the millennium, traditional market sales at the market hall ceased, the hall was renovated and its interior was restored. In December 2001 the hall opened as an ecological market hall, selling mostly organic products. This business idea did not pay off, so in late 2003 Kauko Korpela, founding member of the Finnish Association for Art Merchants and the Finnish Art and Antiquities Merchant Association STAY, rented the central hall building of the market hall from the city of Helsinki. Since 1 December 2003 the hall, known as the Hietalahti antiquities and arts hall, concentrated on sales of antiquities and collectables.In autumn 2012 the hall was converted back into a grocery market hall. The building returned to its original function as a market hall on 11 February 2013. At this time, about twenty merchants moved to the market hall from the Helsinki old market hall on Eteläranta as it underwent reparations for over a year. Since 2013 the Hietalahti market hall has profiled itself most prominently as a concentration for restaurants and cafés.

The Sinebrychoff Park (Finnish: Sinebrychoffin puisto, Swedish: Sinebrychoffsparken), colloquially referred to as the "Koff Park", is a park in Punavuori, Helsinki, Finland, near Hietalahti. The park was named after the Sinebrychoff brewery, which had its premises next to the park from 1819 to 1992 and to whose lands the park used to belong, and the Sinebrychoff family that owned both. In addition to the Old Church Park and Kaivopuisto, the park is among the most popular parks in Helsinki. At the edge of the park, along Bulevardi, is the former Sinebrychoff residence built in the 1840s, which currently houses the Sinebrychoff Art Museum. There is a gate from Bulevardi to the park on both sides of it. On the cliff south of the park there is an old octagonal brick tower. There is also a stairway to the cliff from the end of Iso Roobertinkatu. The Mallaskatu street runs underneath the park in a tunnel, which along with the Uudenmaankatu street starting from there forms a high-traffic driveway from Länsiväylä to central Helsinki.

The Sinebrychoff Art Museum is an art museum located on Bulevardi in Helsinki, Finland. The museum exhibits the old European art collections (dating between the 14th and 19th centuries) of the Finnish National Gallery. In addition, half of the museum acts as a historic house museum, displaying the 19th century estate of the Sinebrychoff family.

Hietalahti shipyard (also known as Helsinki New Shipyard, Finnish: Helsingin uusi telakka) is a shipyard in Hietalahti, in downtown Helsinki, Finland. Since 2019, it has been operated by a company named Helsinki Shipyard.

The Mission Diocese, officially the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland, (Finnish: Suomen evankelisluterilainen lähetyshiippakunta, Swedish: Evangelisk-lutherska missionsstiftet i Finland) is an independent confessional Lutheran "ecclesial structure" in Finland. The Mission Diocese considers itself to be "part of ‘the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church’" to be "truly a church" and to act "fully independently as a church", although it has not applied for state-recognition as a registered religious community. The Mission Diocese has its origins in the conservative movements of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (ELCF) and it self-identifies as existing in the same continuum of Lutheran faith and congregational life of the ELCF whose spiritual heritage it cherishes, yet not being part of its administrative structures.The Mission Diocese was founded in March 2013. Its first bishop, Risto Soramies, was consecrated on 4 May 2013.The Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland shares altar and pulpit fellowship with those in the Communion of Nordic Lutheran Dioceses, in addition to being a member of the International Lutheran Conference.

The Alexander Theatre (Finnish: Aleksanterin teatteri, Swedish: Alexandersteatern) is a Finnish theatre in the city of Helsinki at Bulevardi 23–27, also known as Russian Theatre.

The Polytechnic Students' Union or Sampo Building is a National Romantic building at Lönnrotinkatu 29 in central Helsinki, designed in 1903 by Karl Lindahl and Walter Thomé. It has since become a hotel and is often called the Vanha Poli (old poly).

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; EK-ə) is an agency of the European Union which manages the technical and administrative aspects of the implementation of the European Union regulation called Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). ECHA is the driving force among regulatory authorities in implementing the EU's chemicals legislation. ECHA has to ascertain that companies comply with the legislation, advances the safe use of chemicals, provides information on chemicals and addresses chemicals of concern. It is located in Helsinki, Finland. ECHA is an independent and mature regulatory agency established by REACH. It is not a subsidiary entity of the European Commission.The agency, currently headed by Acting Executive Director Shay O’Malley, started working on 1 June 2007.

Deutsche Schule Helsinki (DSH; Finnish: Helsingin Saksalainen koulu, German for "German school Helsinki") is a partly bilingual, German and Finnish-speaking school in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is a member of the German Schools Abroad Network DAS. It was founded in 1881 through funding from German consul Freiherr Ferdinand von Lamezan, wealthy German families, and the Protestant Church. It was originally held in various private apartments but now has its own facilities in Kamppi. The school is open to everyone with an interest in the German language. In the past, most of its students were children of German families living in Finland. 80% of its students are now Finnish citizens.The schools programs include compulsory German and English, and voluntary Swedish, French, Latin and Russian. Students may decide in 7th grade if they want to study Swedish or French. Latin is available from the 8th grade. DSH offers two paths of education from grades 1–9, with either Finnish or German as the language of instruction. Senior high school education (10th–12th grade Oberstufe) is also offered in German, culminating with the Reifeprüfung der Deutschen Schule Helsinki, which entitles graduates to enroll at a university in Finland or Germany.
