Lincoln Tech is an American group of for-profit postsecondary vocational institutions headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. Each campus is owned and operated by Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (Nasdaq: LINC), a provider of career-oriented post-secondary education. As of March 31, 2019, Lincoln had 10,680 students enrolled at 22 campuses.

Essex County Country Club (ECCC) is a golf club in West Orange, New Jersey. It was founded in 1887, making it the oldest club in the state of New Jersey and the sixth oldest in the United States.

West Orange is a suburban township in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. West Orange is both an inner-ring suburb of New Jersey's largest city, Newark, and a commuter suburb of New York City; it is approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Manhattan. West Orange was home to the inventor Thomas Edison, who also maintained a laboratory and workshop in town. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 48,843, an increase of 2,636 (+5.7%) from the 2010 census count of 46,207, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,264 (+2.8%) from the 44,943 counted in the 2000 census.

WFMU is a listener-supported, independent community radio station licensed to East Orange, New Jersey. Since 1998, it has been headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey. It broadcasts in northeast New Jersey at 91.1 Mhz FM, to New York City and Rockland County via a repeater at 91.9 FM, and in the Hudson Valley, the Lower Catskills, western New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania from Mount Hope, New York at 90.1 via the repeater station WMFU. It is the longest-running free-form radio station in the U.S. The station's main terrestrial transmitter is located in West Orange, New Jersey.

WNYJ-TV (channel 66) was an independent non-commercial television station licensed to West Milford, New Jersey, United States. The station's transmitter was located in West Orange, New Jersey. Its broadcast license was owned by the Oakland, California–based Christian broadcast ministry Family Stations, who from 1996 through 2013 operated it as WFME-TV, a religious television station. WNYJ-TV carried programming from CNC World, an English-language news channel based in Beijing, on its main channel, 66.1. On WNYJ's digital subchannel 66.2 it aired MHz WorldView, a non-commercial television network owned by Virginia-based Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation. An additional subchannel carried the audio from WFME-FM in Mount Kisco, New York, which broadcasts the Family Radio religious network. One WNYJ subchannel had carried France 24, an English-language news channel from Paris, although that service has been discontinued. In April 2017, it was announced that WNYJ had sold its spectrum in the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) incentive auction and would be going off the air. WNYJ-TV ceased operations October 25, 2017.

Essex County is located in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of New Jersey, and is one of the centrally located counties in the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the county was the state's second-most populous county, with a population of 863,728, its highest decennial count since the 1970 census and an increase of 79,759 (+10.2%) from the 2010 census count of 783,969. The county is part of the North Jersey region of the state. For 2022, the Population Estimates Program calculated a population of 849,477, which was ranked third-largest among New Jersey's 21 counties behind Bergen and Middlesex Counties. Its county seat is Newark, the state's most populous city with a 2020 census population of 311,549.In 2015, the county had a per capita personal income of $60,030, the eighth-highest in New Jersey and 153rd highest of 3,113 counties in the U.S. The Bureau of Economic Analysis ranked the county as having the 94th-highest per capita income of all 3,113 counties in the U.S. and seventh-highest in New Jersey in 2009.

West Orange High School (WOHS) is a comprehensive four-year community public high school, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from West Orange in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Since the closure of West Orange Mountain High School, WOHS is the only secondary school serving the West Orange Public Schools. West Orange High School has been accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education and by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1928.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,142 students and 191.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1. There were 893 students (41.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 136 (6.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Golda Och Academy is a private Jewish day school that offers secular and religious education for Jewish children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade at two campuses in West Orange in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. Until June 2011 the school was called Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union. The school primarily serves families in Essex and Union counties, but attracts students from all over northern and central New Jersey and also New York. As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 464 students and 61.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.6:1. The school's student body was 96.3% (447) White, 1.5% (7) two or more races, 1.3% (6) Hispanic, 0.4% (2) Asian, 0.2% (1) Black and 0.2% (1) Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander.On July 1, 2021, Rabbi Danny Nevins became the 8th Head of School, succeeding Adam Shapiro. Also on that date, Dr. Eytan Apter became the Upper School Principal. Ms. Carrie Siegel is the Lower School principal.

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is a division of the Select Medical Corporation that provides physical medicine and rehabilitation programs and services. There are currently three inpatient rehabilitation facilities located throughout New Jersey. On June 1, 2010, Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation was awarded the Gallup Organization Great Workplace Award. The award is presented to the best performing workplaces in the world. Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation was one of only 25 recipients of the award. Kessler has also been ranked among the top one percent of rehabilitation hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.

Pleasantdale is a census-designated place (CDP) located in West Orange Township, Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is in the northwest part of the township, bordered to the north by Eagle Rock Avenue, to the east by Pleasant Valley Way, to the south by Interstate 280, and to the west by Livingston Township and the borough of Roseland. The boundaries of the CDP may differ from local understanding of the community's extent. Crestmont Country Club atop Second Watchung Mountain occupies the western side of the CDP. Pleasantdale was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Llewellyn Park is a historic gated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within West Orange in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Llewellyn Park is thought to be the country's first planned residential community, and the site of the first large-scale naturalization of crocus, narcissus, and jonquils. The community features 175 homes on 425 acres (172 ha) and is located 12 miles (19 km) west of New York City.Llewellyn Park was one of the first gated communities in the United States, where the natural environment was both carefully cultivated and allowed to remain undisturbed. The landscaping is in the 19th century romantic style of New York's Central Park, and includes winding paths, ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowers.The Llewellyn Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and was added to the state register the following year.

Seton Hall Preparatory School, generally called Seton Hall Prep or "The Prep", is a Roman Catholic all boys' high school located in the suburban community of West Orange in Essex County, New Jersey, operating under the supervision of the Archdiocese of Newark. Founded in 1856 with an original enrollment of five boys, Seton Hall Prep was originally located on the campus of Seton Hall University, where it became commonly known as "The Prep" as a way to distinguish it from "The University." In 1985, The Prep moved to its present location which was, at the time, West Orange High School. Seton Hall is the oldest Catholic college preparatory school in New Jersey.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 963 students and 70.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.7:1. The school's student body was 71.4% (688) White, 9.8% (94) Black, 8.6% (83) Hispanic, 5.4% (52) two or more races, 4.0% (39) Asian, 0.5% (5) Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander and 0.2% (2) American Indian / Alaska Native.Seton Hall students follow a college preparatory program, with four-year requirements in the English language, mathematics, and theology. After completing a traditional core program during the first two years, students may establish a curriculum geared to their college and career plans from a wide selection of courses in science, history, language, fine arts, English and physical education. Seton Hall plans to offer college-level Advanced Placement (AP) courses in 26 areas during the 2019–20 school year."The Prep" is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
