St Mary's Church, Carrigaline

Carrigaline GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Carrigaline in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organised by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork. They are a Senior Football club, and a Premier Intermediate Hurling club. Cork Inter-county player Nicholas Murphy plays his club football with Carrigaline. Despite competing in numerous county finals such as Intermediate football final of 2003 and Intermediate hurling of 2006, Carrigaline failed to capture a county title. This was until 12 October 2008 when they captured their first adult county after an Intermediate A Hurling win over Bandon. In 2009 they captured the football title, by beating Cill na Martra. In 2014 they secured their first top level county by defeating St. Finbarr's, in the Premier 1 Minor Football Final. In 2015 the club reached the Promised Land beating St Michael's in the Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship Final, on a scoreline of 0–12 to 0-11.

Avondale United F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Carrigaline, County Cork. Their senior team play in the Munster Senior League Senior Premier Division. They also regularly compete in the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup and the Munster Senior Cup. Avondale has won the FAI Intermediate Cup a record eight times and have been Munster Senior League champions on eight occasions. After winning the 2012–13 Munster title, they were also invited to play in the 2014 League of Ireland Cup. The club also fields reserve, intermediate, junior, youth and schoolboy teams in the Munster Senior League, the Cork Schoolboys League and the Cork City & County Youths League.

Carrigaline railway station was on the Cork, Blackrock and Passage Railway in County Cork, Ireland. It served the town of Carrigaline. As at 2023 the station building still exists, being used as a veterinary hospital.

Carrigaline (Irish: Carraig Uí Leighin, meaning 'rock of Ó Leighin') is a town and civil parish in County Cork, Ireland, situated on the River Owenabue. Located about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) south of Cork city centre, and with a population of 18,239 people, it is one of the largest commuter towns in the county. The R611 regional road passes through the town, and it is just off the N28 national primary route to Ringaskiddy. Carrigaline grew rapidly in the late 20th century, from a village of a few hundred people into a thriving commuter town although some locals still refer to it as "the village". The town is one of the key gateways to west Cork, especially for those who arrive by ferry from France. Carrigaline is within the Cork South-Central Dáil constituency.

Monkstown (Irish: Baile an Mhanaigh - 'the town of the monk', formerly anglicised as Ballinvannegh) is a village and parish in County Cork, Ireland, in the old barony of Kerrycurrihy. It lies 14 kilometres southeast of Cork city on the estuary of the River Lee, facing Great Island and looking onto Monkstown Bay. For census purposes, Monkstown is combined with the nearby town of Passage West, and the combined area has a population of approximately 5,800 residents. The parish of Monkstown includes the nearby villages of Shanbally and Ringaskiddy.
