Kilrossanty GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located in Lemybrien, County Waterford, Ireland. The club is named for the nearby village of Kilrossanty. It plays home games at Pairc Naomh Brid. Kilrossanty is one of the oldest GAA clubs in Waterford and one of the larger Gaelic Football clubs there. They also play underage hurling and have fielded a number of adult hurling teams on many occasions. They won the Junior B Hurling title in 1990.and 2016 Defeating Mount Sion 1-20 to 07 In the early days of the GAA, Kerry GAA wore red and green as their colours. In 1903, they traveled east to play a tournament in Dungarvan and inexplicably left the green and red jerseys at home. Percy Kirwan borrowed the green and gold kit off local club Kilrossanty and following a strong performance, they decided to adopt the colours.

Lemybrien (Irish: Léim Uí Bhriain, meaning 'O'Brien's leap') is a small village and townland in County Waterford, Ireland. It is on the N25 Cork to Waterford City road. Lemybrien is in the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains, in an area of County Waterford known as "The Déise". As of the 2016 census, the village had a population of 192 people, of whom 104 were male and 88 female.

Woodhouse is a Georgian mansion and c. 500-acre estate just outside the village of Stradbally, County Waterford, Ireland. The original house was built in the early part of the 16th century by the Fitzgeralds (a branch of the Desmond Geraldines) and was owned by them up to 1724. By 1774 it was recorded as being in the possession of the Uniake family, and by the time of Griffith's Valuation in 1868 it was owned by Robert Uniacke and was valued at £52 10s.In 1855 the house came into the ownership of a branch of the Beresford family and in 1894 the house and estate were recorded as the seat of Robert H. Beresford. In 1906 it was the property of John Beresford and still valued at over £52. In 1942, the Irish Tourist Association survey notes that the owner of the house, Major Lord William Beresford was then resident in India.The Irish National Inventory of Architectural Heritage describes the house as: Detached three-bay single-storey over basement gate lodge, c.1850, with three-bay two-storey rear elevation to south. Renovated and refenestrated, c.1950, with single-bay single-storey flat-roofed projecting porch added. Now disused. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Flat bitumen felt roof to porch with metal rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls with rendered quoins to corners. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and one with rendered surround having hood moulding over on consoles. Replacement timber casement windows, c.1950. Square-headed door opening with glazed tongue-and-groove timber panelled door, c.1950. Set back from road in grounds shared with Woodhouse at entrance to estate with side (east) elevation fronting on to road. The property was bought in 2012 by James E. (Jim) Thompson, founder and chairman of Crown Worldwide Group for €6.5m.

Kilrossanty (Irish: Cill Rosanta) is a small village and parish in County Waterford, Ireland. It lies between the Comeragh Mountains and the R676 road between Dungarvan and Carrick-on-Suir, close to the Mahon Falls. It is 11 km north of Dungarvan, and 32 km west of Waterford city.

Clonea Castle was in Clonea parish in the historical barony of Decies-without-Drum in south County Waterford, Ireland. Located in Clonea Lower townland, roughly two and a half miles east of Dungarvan, the castle lay on a rocky outcrop at the edge of the shore by Clonea Beach. It was owned by the Maguire (McGuire) family.The structure's entry in National Monuments Service records indicate that it was "not an antiquity", but was built in the late 18th or early 19th century, possibly on the site of an earlier Fitzgerald family fortification. While some of the structure remained into the late 20th century, the remaining ruins were largely destroyed by a winter storm in 1990.Journalist and politician Muriel Bowen (1926–2000) was born on the Clonea Castle estate.

Stradbally (from Irish An tSráidbhaile, meaning 'the (one) street town', IPA:[ˈanˠˈt̪ˠɾˠaːdʲˌwalʲə]) is a small village in County Waterford, Ireland.

The Waterford Raceway (also known as the pike!) is a 1/3 mile tarmac oval motorsport race track off the main Waterford—Cork road near Dungarvan, Ireland. The motor racing circuit was opened in the 1970s and hosted hot rod racing. It is open from March to December every year with a race meeting approximately once a month and with a Christmas meeting on Stephen's day. There are many classes of cars racing each day from first level junior drivers in 1 litre cars up to a top level 3.5 litre super car class. Junior drivers can race from the age of ten in restricted car's. Each meeting classes race for the days trophies and cups and also for championship points in a year long battle to become top of each class with the overall winner being crowned king/queen of the pike.

Stradbally GAA (Irish: Sráid Bhaile CLG) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Stradbally, County Waterford, Ireland, with teams in both Gaelic Football and Hurling. Players include Waterford county hurling captain, Michael Walsh. Despite being so successful in the County Senior Football Championship, winning 19 times, Stradbally have never won the Munster Senior Club Championship, being losing finalists twice. Stradbally won 5 Waterford Senior championships in a row between 2001-2005. They won further titles in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015 & 2017.Despite winning the 2017 Waterford Senior Football Championship, Stradbally did not represent Waterford in the 2017 Munster Senior Club Football Championship due to the county not completing its club championship in time- the county final occurring a week after the provincial final due to the hurling having been prioritised. This meant Waterford had no team in the Munster Championship that year. This was not the first time Stradbally had been negatively affected in terms of participation in the provincial championship, having in 2015 been forced to play their Munster Quarter Final only one day after winning the County Final.

Ballinroad (Irish: Baile an Rodaigh, meaning 'Rod's town') is a village approximately 3 km from Dungarvan, County Waterford on the south coast of Ireland. Ballinroad grew rapidly during the Celtic tiger era and is now one of Dungarvan's main dormitory areas.
