Na Chom Thian

Ban Huai Khwang station (Thai: สถานีบ้านห้วยขวาง) is a railway station located in Huai Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. It is a class 3 railway station located 168.34 km (104.6 mi) from Bangkok railway station.

The Ambassador City Jomtien is a large hotel and convention centre at Jomtien Bay, near Pattaya, Thailand, with "over 4,000 rooms" [1]. Located about 8 km south of Pattaya, it occupies a 40-acre (160,000 m2) campus overlooking the beach and nearby mountains. It consists of 5 buildings that each contain 150 to 2,000 suites. There are eight restaurants, several bars and nightclubs, a convention center, sport centre and what is claimed to be Asia's largest swimming pool. The Ambassador City hosted the United Kingdom Contingent to the 20th World Scout Jamboree consisting of 2,500 young people aged between 14 and 18 and many of their support staff prior to the Jamboree at Sattahip in 2002/3. Columbia Pictures Aquaverse (Thai: โคลัมเบีย พิคเจอร์ส อควาเวิร์ส) is a waterpark themed around Columbia Pictures films. It is located at 888 Moo 8, Na Jomtien, Sattahip, Chonburi, Thailand, approximately 15 kilometers from South Pattaya. The park includes attractions based on well-known movies like Jumanji, Ghostbusters, and Zombieland, and primarily offers water-related activities such as water slides and splash zones. The park offers a variety of water activities, including slides and flowriders. One of the key areas is the Hotel Transylvania section, which has nine slides specifically designed for children. Beyond water attractions, the park includes go-karting, a mini-golf course themed around The Emoji Movie, and several themed dining options. Additionally, live performances and concerts are held at the Mega Wave Pool.

Viharn Sien or Viharnra Sien, officially known as Anek Kusala Sala, is a museum and shrine designed in the style of a royal Chinese temple, located near Wat Yansangwararam in Pattaya, Chonburi. It was developed in 1987 by Thai-Chinese Sa-nga Kulkobkiat on land provided by king Bhumibol Adulyadej to create a building for an art collection gifted to the Chakri dynasty.

Wat Yansangwararam Woramahawihan or Wat Yan (Thai: วัดญาณสังวรารามวรมหาวิหาร, RTGS: Wat Yannasangwararam, pronounced [wát jāːn.nā.sǎŋ.wá(ʔ).rāː.rāːm] ) is located in Huai Yai in the Chonburi province of Thailand. It is a large Buddhist temple complex with gardens and lakes and has been under the patronage of Bhumibol Adulyadej. Most of the buildings at Wat Yansangwararam were erected in honor of the Thai Royal Family. The temple is a replica of the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. International pavilions with ornaments around the adjacent lake and statues of revered monks, also of Bhumibol Adulyadej and his mother Srinagarindra, the Royal Grandmother, in the middle of parks offer the opportunity to walk for hours and study.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden (Thai: สวนนงนุชพัทยา), also called Nongnooch Pattaya Garden, is a 500-acre (2.0 km2) botanical garden and tourist attraction in Chonburi Province, Thailand. Located on Sukhumvit road, it can be reached via bus, taxi or private land transportation. It is also a major scientific center dedicated to cycads, with its own Cycad Gene Bank. Nong Nooch is the largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia.

The Buddha Mountain or Khao Chi Chan (Thai: เขาชีจรรย์) is a limestone hill in Na Chom Thian that has become a Pattaya landmark due to its large 109 m (358 ft) by 70 m (230 ft) golden Buddha laser engraving. It was created in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the coronation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and for Thai people and Buddhists for spiritual practice. The Khao Chi Chan Buddha image is the largest carved Buddha image in the world. The area surrounding the mountain is full of heavy clusters of grasses, shrubs, and trees including teak, acacia, Siamese rosewood, black rosewood, and various fruit trees such as Indian gooseberry, black plum, and ramontchi. The lush green surroundings seen in the 2020s go back to the development of the Siri Charoenwat Forest Plantation Project in 1990, named after Queen Sirikit, which was initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1992 on the occasion of Sirikit's 60th birthday. The Buddha Mountain together with the nearby Buddhist monastery Wat Yansangwararam Woramahawihan, the royal Chinese temple Viharn Sien, the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, Silverlake Vineyard and the National Park form a large tourist attraction near Na Chom Thian, Jomtien and Pattaya. The Buddha Mountain is a popular place for leisure activities, mediation, celebrations, and dance performances. As of 2016, Thai, Chinese and Russian tourists made up the majority of visitors to the area. According to the Forest Training Department, around 1,000 monkeys were living around the mountain in 2015.

Jomtien (Thai: จอมเทียน, RTGS: Chom Thian, pronounced [t͡ɕɔ̄ːm tʰīa̯n]) or Jomtien Beach (หาดจอมเทียน, RTGS: Hat Chom Thian, [hàːt t͡ɕɔ̄ːm tʰīa̯n]) is a town on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand about 165 km south-east of Bangkok in Chonburi Province. It is about 3 km south of Pattaya and is home to high-rise condominiums, beach side hotels, beaches, and restaurants.

Silverlake Vineyard is a Thai winery located at the foot of Khao Chi Chan. Founded in 2002 by Surachai Tangjaitrong and Supansa Nuangpirom, it is a tourist attraction of Thailand. Varieties produced include Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Royal Jomtien Resort Hotel was a 450-room luxury hotel situated in a 17-story high-rise building on the northern end of Jomtien Beach, 110 kilometres (68 mi) south of Bangkok. At approximately 10:20 local time (03:20 GMT), 11 July 1997, a fire ignited as a result of a faulty liquid propane gas cylinder in a ground floor buffet of the hotel. The fire burned for 8 to 12 hours across all floors and caused the deaths of at least 91 people and injuries to a further 63.A National Fire Protection Association report attributed the ignition of the fire to human error by a worker who had identified faulty valve assembly on gas cylinder in a ground-floor buffet; while attempting to shut off the valve, the worker inadvertently increased the flow of gas and caused an explosion. The combustible wood and vinyl furnishings of the establishment allowed the fire to develop rapidly, as did a lack of fire separation, compartmentation and active suppression systems. As acrid smoke overcame the entire complex, several victims reportedly jumped from the higher windows to their deaths.At the time of the fire the building was 8 years old and had therefore been constructed prior to 1992 laws dictating mandatory installation of fire alarms and smoke detectors in Thai high-rise hotels. The fire prompted a review of safety standards of other high rise buildings in Chon Buri and at least 200 other buildings in the Pattaya area were found not to comply with the fire safety standards that had been violated by the Royal Jomtien Resort Hotel prior to the fire.

Nong Prue (Thai: นองปรือ) is a town municipality (thesaban mueang) in the Bang Lamung District of Chon Buri Province, a dormitory suburb of Pattaya, to the direct east (inland), and is home to a growing expatriate and retired population in many gated communities of luxury villas. Its population was 73,901 people in 2010 NSO, and 79,258 by 2017. Separate locally registered population (DLA) figures claim 46,098 for 2015. Like Pattaya, the latter figures probably underestimate the true number of residents, as Thai service workers tend to return to their hometowns where their residence is registered. Both figures likely do not include expats from mostly wealthy nations, nor migrants from neighboring countries who increasingly take up jobs Thais do not want and/or are not accustomed to. (Though ASEAN migrants have been increasingly regularized since about 2014.) It will be the location of the new high-speed rail station for Pattaya.

Nong Prue Stadium (Thai: สนามกีฬาหนองปรือ) or formally Nongprue Municipality Stadium (Thai: สนามเทศบาลหนองปรือ) is a stadium in Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand. Construction began in 1998 before opening in 1999. It holds a capacity of 5,500 spectators is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Pattaya United of the Thai League 1.Construction on Nong Prue stadium began in 1998 before its opening in 1999.
