Rizhskaya railway station (Leningradskaya line)

Rizhskaya is a railway station of Moscow Railway on Alekseyevskaya connecting branch line in Moscow, that serving lines D2 and D4 of the Moscow Central Diameters and the regional trains of Russian Railways. It was opened in 1949.

Rizhskaya (Russian: Рижская) is a Moscow Metro station in the Meshchansky District, North-Eastern Administrative Okrug, Moscow. It is on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line, between Prospekt Mira and Alekseyevskaya stations. It is named after the nearby Rizhsky railway station (which was named after and serves trains to the Latvian capital, Riga) and was designed by Latvian architects A. Reinfelds and V. Apsītis. The brightly coloured Latvian ceramics employed throughout the station make it instantly recognizable. The pylons, which follow the curve of the station tube, are faced with reddish-brown tile and sandwiched between piers faced with lemon yellow tile and decorated with gold-coloured cornices. The ventilation grilles above the pylons are decorated with the coat of arms of the Latvian SSR . The station opened on 1 May 1958. The round vestibule, which was designed by S.M. Kravets, Yu.A. Kolesnikova, and G.E. Golubev, is located on the east side of Prospekt Mira at Rizhskaya Square. The station reopened after reconstruction on 7 May 2022. A transfer to the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line at Rizhskaya is planned.

The Pyatnitskoye cemetery is one of the graveyards in the Russian capital Moscow. It is among the oldest and largest resting places in the city.

The August 2004 Moscow metro bombing took place at about 20:17 MSK on 31 August 2004, when a female suicide bomber blew herself up outside Rizhskaya metro station, killing at least 10 people and wounding 50.The official investigation concluded that it was organized by the same group as the February 2004 Moscow Metro bombing, as well as four previous terrorist attacks on bus stops in Voronezh, southern Russia, in 2004–2005. The deaths included the female bomber and her accomplice, Nikolay Kipkeyev, one of the perpetrators of a series of car bombings in 2001.Kipkeyev, the head of an Islamic militant group Karachay Jamaat (also known as «Muslim Society No 3») from the Republic of Karachay–Cherkessia, had accompanied an unidentified female suicide bomber who was to blow herself up on a Moscow metro train. But the bomb apparently exploded prematurely while Kipkeyev and the assigned bomber were standing on the street next to the entrance to the metro station. Both died as a result of the explosion.

Rizhskaya (Russian: Рижская) is a station on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro, between the stations Sokolniki and Maryina Roshcha. A transfer to the Kaluzhsko–Rizhskaya line, via its Rizhskaya station, is opened on the opening day, 1 March 2023. The two metro stations are being developed, along with the nearby Moscow Rizhsky railway station, as part of a transport interchange hub that would also serve three of the Moscow Central Diameters (D2, D3, and D4) as well as the Moscow–Saint Petersburg high-speed railway. The station is one of 14 Moscow Metro stations that were opened on 1 March 2023. Rizhskaya's technical launch was held on 30 November 2022, along with those of Sokolniki and Maryina Roshcha, as part of the deployment of the new northeast section of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line.

The Museum of the Moscow Railway at Rizhsky station in Moscow (Russian: Музеи Московской железной дороги: Экспозиционная площадка натурной железнодорожной техники музея истории Московской железной дороги) is an open-air exhibition of rolling stock near the Moscow Rizhsky railway station in Moscow.

Rizhsky station (Russian: Рижский вокзал, Rizhsky vokzal, Riga station) is one of the nine main railway stations in Moscow, Russia. It was built in 1901. As well as being an active station it also houses the Moscow Railway Museum. The station is operated by the Moscow Railway. It is located at Rizhskaya Square, at the crossing of Mira Avenue and Sushchyovsky Val. The station is served by Rizhskaya metro station. Although Rizhsky Station is relatively the least busiest station in Moscow, its connection to Latvia is Moscow's only, and is highly used. On the intersection of two main roads, Rizhsky is adjacent to a Holiday Inn hotel, a large market, and numerous Moscow apartments and offices. In addition, Rizhskiy Station has some of the best architecture of all the Moscow "vokzals".

Founded as a venture engineering firm in 1990, it performs research and development, producing high tech devices for government and corporate clients. PO KSI creates microelectronics, digital microcircuitry, electronic optical sensors and scanners, specialty computer systems, digital cartography, photogrammetry, and geographic information systems. The company has completed 26 development projects and four research projects. It has developed and produced over 30 serial devices and systems.PO KSI registered as a company on 10 April 2000 and employs over 200 people. Most of the firm's employees are graduates of Moscow's National Research University of Electronic Technology.The Russian Ministry of Defense is the company's primary client, with contracts for 54 million rubles in 2013 and 93 million rubles in 2015. The company has also fulfilled contracts for Russian aerospace company Tupolev for 531 million rubles and the State Scientific Research Testing Institute of Military Medicine for 120.14 mln. Alekseyevskaya (Russian: Алексе́евская, IPA: [ɐlʲɪkˈsʲeɪfskəjə]) is a station on the Moscow Metro's Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. It serves Alexeyevsky District. The station's round entrance is located on the east side of Prospekt Mira between Staroalexeyevskaya and Novoalexeyevskaya streets. From its opening in 1958 to 1966 the station was known as "Mir" (Russian: Мир) and thus bore the shortest name in the history of the Moscow Metro.

The State Space Corporation "Roscosmos" (Russian: Государственная корпорация по космической деятельности «Роскосмос»), commonly known simply as Roscosmos (Russian: Роскосмос), is a state corporation of the Russian Federation responsible for space flights, cosmonautics programs, and aerospace research.Originating from the Soviet space program founded in the 1950s, Roscosmos emerged following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. It initially began as the Russian Space Agency, which was established on 25 February 1992 and restructured in 1999 and 2004, as the Russian Aviation and Space Agency and the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), respectively. In 2015, the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) was merged with the United Rocket and Space Corporation, a government corporation, to re-nationalize the Russian space industry, leading to Roscosmos in its current form.Roscosmos is headquartered in Moscow, with its main Mission Control Center in the nearby city of Korolyov, and the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center located in Star City in Moscow Oblast. Its launch facilities include Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the world's first and largest spaceport, and Vostochny Cosmodrome, which is being built in the Russian Far East in Amur Oblast. Its director since May 2018 is Dmitry Rogozin.As the main successor to the Soviet space program, Roscosmos' legacy includes the world's first satellite, first human spaceflight, and first space station (Salyut). Its current activities include the International Space Station, wherein it is a major partner. On 22 February 2019, Roscosmos announced the construction of its new headquarters in Moscow, the National Space Centre. Its Astronaut Corps is the first in the world's history.
