Clara Lara FunPark

Clara or Clara More (Irish: An Clárach Mór) is a townland and small clachan consisting of a bridge over the Avonmore River and a number of buildings in County Wicklow in Ireland. The village is situated halfway between Laragh and Rathdrum on the R755 road, and is sometimes referred to as the 'smallest village in Ireland'. The most prominent structures locally include the settlement's narrow six-arch road bridge (built c.1680), and the nearby Clara Vale Catholic church (built c.1799). The church is dedicated to Saint Patrick and Saint Killian and underwent significant renovations in the late 1830s. The local Vale of Clara Nature Reserve is thought to be one of the oldest hardwood forests in Ireland.

The R755 road is a regional road in Ireland. It runs for its entire length in County Wicklow. From the village of Kilmacanogue on the N11 national primary road it goes north/south for 36 km (22 mi) to the town of Rathdrum.

Laragh (Irish: An Láithreach – meaning "the site, or ruins, of a building") is a small village in County Wicklow, Ireland. It lies at the junction of three roads (the R115, R755, and R756) through the Wicklow Mountains and is primarily known for its proximity to the monastic settlement of Glendalough. Sally Gap and the Glenmacnass Waterfall are to the north, to the west is Glendalough and the Wicklow Gap, and to the south is the Glenmalure Valley. The area is wooded, with the hills and mountains rising directly from the valley, and hill walkers, hikers, and other tourists sometimes use the village – given its closeness to Dublin – as their centre for recreational activities in the mountains. About 5 km from the village, on the Rathdrum road, the Clara Lara FunPark covers an area of some 40 ha. Birdwatchers come here to look for the great spotted woodpecker, Ireland's newest species, which breeds in the area. Laragh is also sometimes (including on Sunday mornings and lunchtime) used as a meeting and stop-off point for motorcyclists and cyclists following a run over "The Gap" (the R756) before they head on to Rathdrum. "Laragh" is the name of a fictional sheep station in Western Australia run by the Regan family in Nevil Shute's novel Beyond the Black Stump.

Vale of Clara (Irish: Gleann an Chláraigh) is a national nature reserve of approximately 545 acres (2.21 km2) located in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is managed by the Irish National Parks & Wildlife Service, part of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

St Saviour's Priory (Irish: Mainistir an tSlánaitheora) is a ruined Augustinian monastery in Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland.

Greenan (Irish: An Grianán, meaning 'the summerhouse') is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. Nearby are the towns of Rathdrum and Aughrim along with the glaciated valleys of Glendalough and Glenmalure. The name is spelled 'Greenane' on older signs in the village; the modern version drops the final 'e'. Greenan is also the name of a crossing in County Monaghan. On the main road, there are a few houses and also a primary school named Greenans Cross National School.

Avondale GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football.

Annamoe (Irish: Áth na mBó, meaning 'ford of the cows') is a village located on the Avonmore river in County Wicklow, Ireland about 32 km (20 mi) south of Dublin. It is on the R755 road (at the junction with the R763) between Roundwood and Laragh on the road to Glendalough. The small stone humpback bridge is a common place for tourists to stop and view the County Wicklow scenery. There is a trout fishery in the village with a 4-acre (16,000 m2) lake where one can fly or bait fish. A separate fishing pond for children allows them to catch brown and rainbow trout. Annamoe and the surrounding countryside is a breeding stronghold of the great spotted woodpecker, Ireland's newest species. Castle Kevin, close to Annamoe, of which a few ruins survive, was a medieval fort which formed an important part of Dublin city's defences against raids by the O'Toole clan. The constable was an important Crown official.

The R752 road is a regional road in County Wicklow, Ireland. From its junction with the R772 in Rathnew on the outskirts of Wicklow Town it takes a generally south-westerly route to its junction with the R747 in the village of Woodenbridge, where it terminates. The road is 26 km (16 mi) long. En route it passes through Glenealy, Rathdrum, The Meeting of the Waters and Avoca. It closely follows the route of the Dublin – Wexford - Rosslare Europort railway line and at one stage it was part the main road from Dublin to Wexford, then called the T34.

Armstrong's Barn is a defunct restaurant in Annamoe, County Wicklow, Ireland that was awarded a Michelin star in 1977. In 1972 Peter and Christine Robinson opened their restaurant in Annamoe, converting part of a large rural dwelling, with its garages housing the kitchen. They called it Armstrong's Barn after hearing that its location had long been known by that name, as a place for local gatherings and celebrations. In the 1974 Good Food Guide (published by the British Consumers' Association) Armstrong's Barn was awarded "both a pestle and a bottle—the highest possible rating for a restaurant", and in the same year it earned a star in the Egon Ronay Guide. In 1975 the Good Food Guide renewed its commendation and the Automobile Association Guide to Hotels and Restaurants awarded Armstrong's Barn a rosette repeated in the following two years. In 1976 The Irish Times, in An Irishman's Diary of 15 May, mentioned Armstrong's Barn as "the only eatery acknowledged" in Wicklow by The Good Food Guide. Following assessment by various Michelin representatives in 1977, Armstrong's Barn, with Peter Robinson as owner and head chef, along with chef Humphrey Weightman and front of house manager Hugh McCann, was awarded a star in the Ireland Michelin Guide (1978 edition). Between the assessment and the publication of the Michelin star, Robinson sold the restaurant to Paolo Tullio. In keeping with their policy concerning change of ownership, Michelin withdrew their star the following year. Humphrey Weightman remained on as head chef, and in 1980 and 1981 Michelin awarded the restaurant a Red M indicating "good food at a reasonable price". Paolo Tullio closed the restaurant in 1988 and later became a distinguished food critic.

Rathdrum (Irish: Ráth Droma, meaning 'ringfort of the ridge') is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated high on the western side of the Avonmore River valley, which flows through the Vale of Clara.

The Avonbeg River (Irish: Abhainn Beag, meaning 'small river') rises on the northern flank of Camenabologue in the Wicklow Mountains and flows southeast into the valley of Glenmalure. It continues southeast through the villages of Greenan and Ballinaclash before joining the Avonmore at the Meeting of the Waters (Cumar an dá Uisce) to form the River Avoca, which in turn discharges into the Irish Sea at Arklow. From source to sea the river remains in East Wicklow. Avonbeg Road, Avonbeg Drive, Avonbeg Park and Avonbeg Gardens in Tallaght, Dublin are named after the river.
